ATHOL - Frank C. Judycki, 87, of 474 Lenox St. died peacefully on Dec. 28, 2003 in the Hospice Residence, Stuart, Fla.
A lifelong resident of Athol and an Army veteran, he retired from the L.S. Starrett Company in 1978 where he was a manager in the micrometer department. After his retirement, he enjoyed the winter months in Jensen Beach, Fla., on Hutchinson Island. He enjoyed skiing until he was 70 and taught many Athol area children how to ski. His was an avid fisherman throughout his life.
His wife of 56 years, Helen (Popko) Judycki, died in 1997. He leaves two sons, Dennis and his wife Margaret (Fowler) of Annandale, Va. and Andrew of Red River, N.M.; three grandchildren, Eric of Washington, D.C., Lauren of Albuquerque, N.M., and Linton of Red River, N.M.; a brother, Anthony and his wife Catherine of Fitzwilliam, N.H. and Jensen Beach, Fla.
A service is being scheduled for friends and family in Jensen Beach.
A Funeral Mass at Our Lady Immaculate Catholic Church in Athol and interment in Gethsemane Cemetery will be scheduled for the summer of 2004.
It is suggested that donations in his memory be made to the Hospice of Martin & St. Lucie, 1201 SE Indian St., Stuart, Fla., 34997.

GREENFIELD - Hilda M. (Burdo) Walsh, 78, of 23 Revere Circle, died Monday, Dec. 8, 2003 at the Franklin Medical Center.

ATHOL - Roland H. “Bud” Kidder, 75, of 307 Bearsden Rd., died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003, at his home.
He was born in Athol, on Dec. 8, 1927, the son of Herman and June (Hill) Kidder. He lived in Athol all of his life and attended Athol schools.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II, and was a member of the State National Guard.
He worked at Rodney Hunt Company for 15 years, for several construction companies for many years and was a custodian at the Athol Junior High School for several years until his retirement.
He was a former member of the Athol - Orange Elks, and a member of the American Legion Post 172 in Orange for 28 years, and also played in the Orange Drum Corp.
He enjoyed riding motorcycles and attending and watching car racing events.
He leaves his wife of 52 years, Caroline E. (Tedford) Kidder; a daughter, Kim D. Bacon and her husband Elwin of Athol; two sisters, Lucy Isrow of Las Vegas, NV, and Gladys L’Heureyx of Uxbridge, MA; two granddaughters, Elisha Bacon of Plantation, FL and Kelley Bacon of Athol; and one great grandson, Caleb Orobia of Athol; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Edith Morin.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 11 a.m. in the Higgins - O’Connor Funeral Home, with the Rev. Harold V. Lloyd, Jr., pastor of the Athol Congregational Church, officiating.
There are no calling hours and burial will be private in Highland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to: Firefighters and EMT Equipment Fund, 2251 Main St., Athol, MA 01331.

Charles E. Robinson
Active In Petersham
PETERSHAM - Charles E. Robinson, 83, of 82 New Salem Rd., died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003 at the Leo LaChance Center in Gardner, following a long illness.
He was born in Petersham on Jan. 23, 1920, a son of Frank L. and N. Agnes (Bryant) Robinson and lived in Petersham all of his life. He graduated from the former Petersham High School in 1938 and celebrated his 65th year out of high school in June 2003.
He worked at the Walter E. Fernald State School, Templeton, now the Templeton Developmental Center, 28 years as a herdsman and grounds supervisor retiring in 1982.
Robinson was very active in his community. He was a member of Petersham Fire Department 44 years, retiring in 1982 as assistant chief, a position he held for 10 years. During his tenure on the fire department, he witnessed and participated in the changes in firefighting from a fleet of Model - A Fords to the modern apparatus and equipment of today's fire service. He was a member of the board of assessors for 17 years. During his tenure, the first revaluation to current market value was performed on Petersham's real estate.
An active member of the Orthodox Congregational Church of Petersham, he served several terms as a trustee and one term as a deacon. He also served as chairman of the church fair eight years and helped to guide the building of Andrew Hall and the new kitchen.
He was a member of Petersham Grange No. 95 for over 40 years serving as master and in many other offices. He was actively involved in the construction of the new Grange Hall, now the Petersham Montessori School.
He was an original member of Peterham's Crime Watch Program and former member of the Petersham Lions Club. He was a life member and past president of the Worcester West Forest Wardens Association and a life member of the Barre Sportsman's Club.
A participant in many minstrel Shows over the years, he was one of the last old time endmen whose performances were always unpredictable. He enjoyed dancing, gardening, and being with his family and friends. During his retirement he spent most weekends from May through October camping.
He leaves his wife of 49 years, Ruth (Butterfield) Robinson; a son, Dana C. Robinson of Petersham; three daughters, Jane O'Malley - Sardo of East Pachogue, NY., Carol Symonds of Keene and Susan R. Tandy of Orange; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sisters and four brothers.
A Memorial Celebration will be held on Friday, Dec. 12 at 11 a.m. in the Orthodox Congregational Church, 21 North Main St. The Rev. Ms. Susan Horgan, Minister, will officiate.
Private burial will be at the convenience of the family in East Street Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, Dec. 11 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in Witty's Funeral Home, 158 South Main St., Orange.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Petersham Fireman's Association, c/o Rebecca Legare, 20 Hardwick Rd., Petersham, 01366 or to the Captial Improvement Fund of Orthodox Congregational Church, P.O. Box 354 Petersham, MA 01366.

John W. Choquette
N.D. Cass Worker
ATHOL - John W. Choquette, 62, of 8 Main St., died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003, at his home.
He was born in Swanzey, N.H. on Sept. 29, 1941, the son of George E. and Mildred M. (Choquette) Florence, Sr., and had lived in Athol all of his life. He worked at the N.D. Cass Company for many years. He enjoyed his family and was always there to help them.
He leaves his mother, Mildred M. Florence of Athol; two brothers, David Choquette and George E. Florence Jr., both of Athol; two sisters, Georgette Jennings of Orange and Rita Bastine of Athol. He also leaves several aunts, an uncle, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to: Gardner Visiting Nursing Association, 34 Pearly Lane, Gardner, MA 01440.
The Higgins - O'Connor Funeral Home, 146 Main St., is in charge of arrangements.

Helen L. Dalton
Athol School Worker
NORTHBORO - Helen L. (Chamberlain) Dalton, 89, passed away on Dec. 8, 2003 in Beaumont of Northboro.
She leaves her husband of 66 years, Marshall W. Dalton; a son, Byron I. Dalton of Douglas; three daughters, Shirley L. Carter of Fitchburg; Marsha J. Lowell of Dover, N.H. and Janice E. Vescovi of Orange; a sister, Pearl V. Stewart of Adams; 10 grandchildren; 12 great - grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Born in Smithfield, R.I., daughter of Irving and Jesse (Burlingame) Dalton, she was raised in Adams, and lived in Northboro since 1966. She graduated from Bliss Business School in North Adams. She worked in the cafeteria at the Athol Junior High School and later at Algonquin Regional High School. She was a member of the Trinity Church.
Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 10, in the Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. The funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by burial in the Howard St. Cemetery.

MILLERS FALLS - Randall G. Senn, 36, of 70 Federal St., died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003 at the Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.

Boudreau Services
ATHOL - A funeral Mass for Michael F. Boudreau, 43, of 50 Wood St., was held Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Our Lady Immaculate Church with the Rev. Fr. James B. Callahan, associate pastor officiating. The organist was Theresa Gabis.
Burial followed in Silver Lake Cemetery and the bearers were: John Porter, Richard Porter, Frank Goss, Bob Holloway, Kevin Lankowski, and Leno Dodge.
The Higgins - O'Connor Funeral Home directed the arrangements.
