Charles Maynard, 84
GARDNER - Charles Maynard, 84, of 32 Bennett Road, died Friday, Feb. 8, in Baldwinville Nursing Home, 51 Hospital Road, Baldwinville. He was born in 1917 in Boston, the son of Joseph and Ethel (Brodie) Maynard, and had lived most of his life in Gardner. He graduated from Gardner High School in 1936.

Cornelius E. Buckley Jr., 67
LEOMINSTER - Cornelius E. Buckley Jr., 67, of 80 Helena St., died Monday, Feb. 11, in UMass Memorial Medical Center - - University Campus, Worcester. Curley - Masciarelli Funeral Home, 89 West St., is directing arrangements.

Dorothy E. Scarborough, 64
GARDNER - Dorothy E. (Dykens) Scarborough, 64, of 71 Lake St., died Sunday, Feb. 10, in the Leo P. LaChance Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation, 59 Eastwood Circle, after a long illness. She was born in 1937 in Arlington, the daughter of L. George and Helen (Garrity) Dykens.

Esther E. Deering, 85
SHIRLEY - Esther Elizabeth (Gates) Deering, 85, of Great Road, died Saturday, Feb. 9, in Deaconess - Nashoba Hospital, Ayer, after a short illness. She was born May 1, 1916, in Acton, the daughter of Emrick P. and Nellier (Porter) Gates, and had lived there before moving to Shirley in 1940. She was educated at Acton High School.

Favini memorial Mass
WINCHENDON - A memorial Mass for Louise C. (Jordan) Favini, 75, of 153 Glenallen St., formerly of Fitchburg, will be celebrated Saturday at 9 a.m. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 52 Spruce St. Mrs. Favini died at home on Dec. 28, 2001, after an illness. Snow - Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central St., is directing arrangements.

John E. Senee, 64
WESTMINSTER - John E. Senee, 64, of 35 Whitney St., died at home on Thursday, Jan. 31, after an illness. He was born Sept. 26, 1937, in Leominster, the son of Frederick G. and Dora A.M. (Ulitt) Senee, and had lived there before moving to Westminster many years ago. He graduated from Leominster High School.

Josephine A. Emiro, 76
HAVERHILL - Josephine A. (Mangini) Emiro, 76, of Haverhill, formerly of Leominster, died at home Sunday morning, Feb. 10. She was born Feb. 25, 1925, in Leominster, the daughter of Cesare and Donata (Mazzola) Mangini, and had lived there before moving to Haverhill in 1977. She was educated in Leominster public schools.

Maurice O. Poirier, 82
LEOMINSTER - Maurice O. Poirier, 82, of 26 Second St., died at home Monday, Feb. 11. He was born Jan. 5, 1920, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, the son of Ulric and Laura (Croteau) Poirier, and had lived in Fitchburg before moving to Leominster more than 50 years ago. He was a 1937 graduate of Fitchburg High School.

Norman J. Gaudet, 51
LEOMINSTER - Norman J. Gaudet, 51, of 160 Third St., died at home Sunday evening, Feb. 10, after an illness. He was born April 19, 1950, in New Brunswick, Canada, the son of Arthur and Mary Rose (Cormier) Gaudet, and came to the United States, settling in Leominster in 1962. Mr. Gaudet owned and operated N.S.N. Corp.

Rejeanne M. Fleurant, 74
GARDNER - Rejeanne M. "Jane" (Rouillard) Fleurant, 74, of Gardner, formerly of 175 Woodland Ave., died Sunday, Feb. 10, in Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, 32 Hospital Hill Road, after a short illness. She was born in 1928 in Manchester, N.H., the daughter of Frederick and Annette Rouillard.

Sholom L. Braune, 87
SHREWSBURY - Sholom L. Braune, 87, of 40 Julio Drive, formerly of Fitchburg, and 58 Grove Ave., Leominster, died Sunday, Feb. 10, in UMass Memorial Medical Center - - University Campus, Worcester, after a long illness. He was born in Newark, N.J., the son of Isadore D. and Sarah (Jaffe) Braune.

Sigrid I. Kasari, 94
FITCHBURG - Sigrid I. (Seppala) Kasari, 94, of 620 Ashby State Road, formerly of Ashby, died Monday, Feb. 11, in the Keystone Center, Leominster, after an illness. The Fitchburg Chapel of the Sawyer - Miller - Masciarelli Funeral Homes, 129 Elm St., is directing arrangements.

Stella M. Leger, 87
FITCHBURG - Stella M. (Richard) Leger, 87, of 82 Clearview Ave., died Monday, Feb. 11, in HealthAlliance The Highlands, after a short illness. She was born Aug. 4, 1914, in New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of Philias and Exilda (Derosier) Richard, and had lived most of her life in Fitchburg.

LEOMINSTER - Constance L. "Connie" Adams, 73, of 12 Winter Place, Leominster, formerly of Fitchburg, died Friday afternoon at her home after a long illness. She was born August 28, 1928, in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of John and Mildred (Kramer) Polfuss, and lived there until moving.

Dorothy M. McCormack, 82,

FITCHBURG - Dorothy M. McCormack, 82, of 350 Water St., formerly of 188 Oak Hill Road, died Saturday morning in the Birchwood Care Center after a long illness. Born March 9, 1919 in Fitchburg, she was a daughter of the late John and Mae (Southwell) McCormack and has lived here all of her life.

LEOMINSTER - Gertrude C. (Geslien) Hastie, 97, of 370 West St., formerly of Manchester Street, died Friday in HealthAillance/Fairlawn Nursing Home. Born March 4, 1904, in Long Island, N.Y., she was a daughter of Frank and Anna (Kalfur) Geslien, and had lived in Fitchburg for many years.

High School freshman and dirtbike enthusiast
LUNENBURG - Jeremy S. Herold, 15, of 519 Reservoir Road, Lunenburg, died Friday, April 27, 2001 in UMass Medical Center from injuries suffered in a dirtbike accident last Thursday, April 19, 2001. He was born on Sept. 7, 1985 in Fitchburg, the son of Paul Doyon and Cindy Herold.

Kathleen McGuirk, 62
A registered nurse with Hospice of the Florida Suncoast
REDINGTON BEACH, Fla. - Kathleen McGuirk, 62, of Redington Beach, Fla., formerly of Fitchburg, died Thursday, April 26, 2001 at her residence. Born in Fitchburg, she was the daughter of Helen and Herbert McGuirk, and lived here until about 1960. She then lived in New York City for nearly 30 years.

Bernice E. Hayford, 85

LEOMINSTER - Bernice Emma Hayford, 85, a resident of Fairlawn Nursing Home, 370 West St., formerly of 111 Abbott Ave., died Wednesday, Aug. 15, in the nursing home. She was born April 9, 1916, in East Jaffrey, N.H., the daughter of Albert H. and Minnie (Cummings) Hayford.
