ORANGE - Patricia A. (Vieu) Gray, 47, of 77 West Main St., died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004, in the St. Vincent´s Hospital, Worcester.
She was born in Charleston, SC, on Nov. 7, 1956, the daughter of Clarence and Rosalie (Davis) Vieu.
She was employed at Bunzell Extrusion for the past five years.
She enjoyed music and working with computers.
She leaves her husband of 29 years, William A. Gray; one daughter, Rose - Marie LaFrennie of Fitchburg; three sons, William A. Gray III of Orange, Steven C. Gray of Fitchburg, Jeffrey A. Gray of Athol; her mother, Rosalie (Davis) Vieu of Oregon; five brothers, Clarence Vieu, Jr. of Massachusetts, Alan Vieu of Orange, Earl Vieu of South Carolina; five grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by two brothers, David Vieu, and Bobby Vieu.
A memorial service will be held Friday, Nov. 12 at 10 a.m. in the Fiske Funeral Home, 1356 Main St., Athol.
Burial will be private.
A calling hour will be held Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. in the funeral home.

Aileen W. Aldrich

ATHOL - Aileen W. Aldrich, 92, a retired art instructor, died Thursday, May 20, 2004, at the Ocala Regional Medical Center in Connecticut Valley Region Veteran Motor Car Club, and participated in the annual Orange Yankee Enginuity Show for many years.
He served as precinct representative for the town of Athol for many years, served on the Industrial Park Committee for 15 years, served on the building committee for the new middle school, served on the town Finance Warrant and Advisory Committee for 17 years, served on the board of directors for the town Department of Public Works, graduated from the Athol Police Dept.'s Citizens Police Academy and was on the board of directors of the New Salem Academy.
Dick also taught a class at The Farm School on the care and maintenance of farm equipment.
He leaves his wife of two years, Toni L. (West) Phillips; a daughter, Ann - Marie Roberts and her husband Jeff of Athol; two grandchildren, Alyssa and Lauren Roberts, both of Athol; a step - daughter, Kristi Melanson of Athol; two step - sons, Craig Sabatello of Medford and Kevin Sabatello of New Bergen, NJ; three step - grandsons, Julian, Tristan and Adrian Melanson, all of Athol; a brother, John Phillips of Orange; a sister, Helen Cutter of New Salem; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Frank Phillips in 1997 and two sisters, Candicia Cherichetti in 2002 and Anna in 1960.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, at 11 a.m., at the Athol Congregational Church, 1225 Chestnut St., Athol, with the Rev. Harold V. Lloyd, Jr., pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Jones Cemetery in Orange. Calling hours will be Sunday, Nov. 7th, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Higgins - O’Connor Funeral Home, 146 Main St., Athol. The Athol Lions Club will conduct a service at 7:30 p.m. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to: the Athol Lions Club “Richard C. Phillips, Jr. Scholarship Fund,” P.O. Box 293, Athol, Mass., 01331; the Orange Historical Society, “Perpetual Care of the Grout,” 41 North Main St., Orange, Mass., 01364; or the The Farm School, Moore Hill Road, Athol, Mass., 01331.

ATHOL - Hollie S. (Nichols) Rocci, 38 of 29 Metropolitan Court, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004, in the Athol Memorial Hospital after being stricken ill.
She was born in Stoneham, on Feb. 11, 1966, the daughter of Howard and Carol A. (Lawton) Nichols. She grew up in Athol and attended schools in Athol. She enjoyed video games and making crafts.
She leaves a daughter, Natasha N. Rocci of Athol; her mother, Carol Nichols of Athol; her father and step - mother Howard and Geraldine Nichols of Raleigh, NC; aunts, uncles and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be private.
A calling hour will be held Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, from 5 to 6 p.m., at Fiske Funeral Home, 1356 Main St., Athol.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to Athol - Orange Baptist Church, Walnut And Church St., Athol, Mass., 01331, or to a charity of one’s choice.
Fiske Funeral Home, 1356 Main St., Athol, is directing arrangements.

ORANGE - Patricia A. (Vieu) Gray, 47, of 77 West Main St., died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004, at St. Vincent's Hospital at the Worcester Medical Center in Worcester.

Amelia J. Dembek

TEMPLETON - Amelia J. (Merkel) Dembek, 81, of 1 Old North Rd., died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004 peacefully at home surrounded by her family.
Amelia, known to her friends as Amy, was born in Templeton on April 7, 1923 the daughter of John P. and Petronella (Ustoitis) Merkel and was a lifelong resident of Brooks Village in Templeton.
She was a 1941 graduate of Tempeton High School. She served in the United States Navy during World War II. She was a Yeoman First Class serving at the 9th Naval District in Great Lakes, IL and at the Personel Separation Center, Naval Air Station in Minneapolis, MN. Over the eyars she worked as a secretary at Adams Printing, Templeton, Harrington Richardson, Gardner, the Gardner Visiting Nurses Association, 34 Pearly Lane, Gardner, MA 01440.
The John J. Mack Funeral HOme, 91 Vernon St., Gardner, is directing the funeral arrangements.

GARDNER - May C. (Mallet) (Rathburn) Gerry, 73 of 71 Lake St., formerly of Athol, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004, in the Heywood Hospital, Gardner.
She was born in Athol, on Nov. 9, 1930, the daughter of the late Dominick W. and the late Lorena (Ayotte) Mallet.
She grew up in Athol and was educated in Athol. She attended Athol High School.
Mrs. Gerry was employed by the L.S. Starrett Company for many years.
She was a communicant of Our Lady Immaculate Church. She was a member of the Franco - American Club in Athol and the Garner Eagles.
She enjoyed fishing, bowling and painting.
She leaves three daughters, Sandra M. Murcell of Templeton, Judy M Adams of Wrentham, Cynthia J. Grimard of Erving; two sons, Timothy C. Rathburn of Athol, John W. Rathburn of Athol; one sister, Marie Gallien of Athol; one brother, Ernest Mallet of Athol; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by two sons, Michael R Rathburn, and Daniel B. Rathburn; a sister, Helen Huard; and by a brother, Alfred “Bucky” Mallet.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, Nov. 13, at 10 a.m. at Silver Lake Cemetery, Athol.
There are no calling hours.
