Christine Montalvo
Worcester -- Christine Montalvo, 32, died Tuesday, December 21, 2004, at home surrounded by her family after a short bout with cancer. Her mother, Sharan Gignilliat, died in August. She is survived by her father, Felix Montalvo; 2 sons, Jarell Smith and Eric Montalvo; a daughter, Liliana Cruz; 3 sisters Melinda DeCell Clark, Marisol Ramosk, and Ada Maria Montalvo; a brother, Jeffrey DeCell; her grandfather, Robert E. Gignilliat, Sr.; her grandmother, Barbara A. Gignilliat; and many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Christine was a homemaker and a graduate of Henry’s Hairdressing School of Fitchburg. She loved her children very, very much-they were her world. She was associated with several different agencies with her children. Christine will be missed by all the people she touched with her loving and caring personality and her wonderful sense of humor.
Calling hours will be held from 6-9 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 23, at Nordgren Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be private. Memorial contributions can be made to the Montalvo Children c/o Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester, MA 01605.

George Aristide
East Falmouth - George Aristide, 70, passed away in the JML Care Center, Falmouth on Tuesday, December 21, 2004. He leaves two nieces, Kristine A. Aristide of Boston, Tracy L. Aristide of Palma de Mallorca, Spain, one nephew, Michael P. of Worcester, one uncle and several cousins.
Son of the late Misto Aristide of Boston and the late Constance Aristide of Worcester, Mr. Aristide was born in Boston and later moved to Worcester. He graduated from Commerce High School and worked for many years as a manager for Table Talk Pies in Worcester. In 1972, he moved to Falmouth where he opened Papa Pete's Pizza in Teaticket, and together with his late brother, Peter, co-owned and operated the restaurant for nearly 25 years. After retirement, he worked part time at the Dome Restaurant in New York City. Susan was the granddaughter of the late Norah and Warren Brierly and Charlotte and Bennett Gordon.
Susan was raised in Holden and graduated from Notre Dame Academy in Worcester and Mt. Holyoke College in South Hadley with a Bachelor of Science in Astronomy. For several years she was employed as vice president of Trans Flow Energy Inc. in Mashpee, MA. Recently Susan had incorporated a new company, OpenWeb Inc., in Cambridge MA. She was an avid hiker and was a member of the Appalachian Mountain Club. She was a skilled equestrian and throughout her life she was a voracious reader.
Burial will be at All Faiths Cemetery. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, June 9, 2:00 to 6:00 pm, at the home of Betty and Tom Condon, 52 Laurelwood Drive, Webster. Directions and other information are posted on SusanMemorial.com.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Susan E. Gordon Scholarship at Notre Dame Academy, 425 Salisbury St., Worcester MA 01609. Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester is assisting the family with arrangements.

David J. Lovely
Auburn – David J. Lovely, 42, of 30 Burnett St. died Thursday April 29 in his home after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 20 years CathyLynne (Dame) Lovely; his parents George H. Jr. and Evelyn L. (Poire) Lovely of Auburn; a step son Sean M. Sullivan of Southbridge; a step daughter Kelly L. Sullivan of Auburn; a brother George H. Lovely III of Auburn; three sisters Laura Nowick of Berlin, MA, Linda Martin of Charlton and Judy Boire of Nashua, NH; his paternal grandmother Elizabeth Manning of Auburn; 2 grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
Mr. Lovely was born in Worcester and graduated from Baypath Vocational School. He was the Vice-President and General Manager of A to Z Integrated Systems in Worcester where he worked for over 25 years.
He was an enthusiastic sports fan and loved both the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday May 4 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home (www.Royfuneral.com) 12 Hammond St. Worcester with a mass at 11 AM in St. Joseph Church 189 Oxford St. Auburn. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 PM in the funeral home on Monday May 3.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Lovely’s name to the VNA Care Network 120 Thomas Street Worcester, MA 01608.

Barbara K. (Keck) Smith
BOYLSTON -- Barbara K. (Keck) Smith, 89, died peacefully in her sleep Thursday, December 23, 2004 with her family at her side. She was born May 1, 1915. She was a graduate of Bancroft School, and received a BS of Science with Honors from the University of Michigan to be near her family.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12 Noon on Tuesday, Dec. 28th at the First Congregational Church of Boylston; burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to NEADS Dogs for the Deaf and Disabled, PO Box 213, West Boylston, MA 01583.

Arthur W. Ordway Sr.
Worcester - Arthur W. Ordway Sr., 91, of 584 Pleasant Street died Monday May 27, 2002 at home after being stricken ill.
His wife of 56 years Katherine E. (Glynn) Ordway died in 1994. He leaves one son Arthur W. Ordway Jr. of Worcester and one grandson Scott Ordway of Worcester. He is predeceased by a brother George Ordway and three grandsons Sean and Timothy Ordway and Bob Roach. He was born in Nashua, NH son of John and Mabel (Burns) Ordway.
Mr. Ordway worked as a mechanic for 46 years at Worcester Wire Company a Division of National Standard and retired in 1983.
He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church. He was also a founding member of St. Catherine of Sweden Church and it's Holy Name Society and St. Vincent de Paul Society. Mr. Ordway was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox.
The funeral will be held on Friday May 31 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home (www.Royfuneral.com) 12 Hammond St. with a mass at 10 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church 555 Pleasant St.. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Calling hours are on Thursday May 30 from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home.

Barbara (Speakman) Cardinal
Worcester - Barbara (Speakman) Cardinal, 71, of 301 Cambridge Street died Monday May 27, 2002 in Providence House of Millbury after an illness.
She leaves three sons Kenneth Cardinal of Webster, Kevin Cardinal of Millbury and Brian Cardinal of Worcester; four daughters Linda McNabb of Ayer, Deborah Bombard, Shauna Lowe and Barbara Smith all of Worcester; three sisters Bernice "Bette" Smyth, Gloria Hutchins and Delores "Patsy" Iacovone all of Worcester; 13 grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by brother Kenneth Speakman and two sisters Marguerite "Peggy" Clarke and Gladys Speakman. Ms. Cardinal was born in Worcester daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth (Shea) Speakman and lived here all of her life.
She was a machine operator for many years at the former L. Farber Leather Company and was also a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.
The funeral service will be held at a later date in Notre Dame Mausoleum. Calling hours are on Wednesday May 29 from 6 to 8 PM in Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home (www.Royfuneral.com) 12 Hammond St.. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
