Hause Services
ATHOL - Funeral services for Arline E. Hause, 89, of 375 Pequiog Ave., wereheld Friday, July 25, 2003 in the Our Lady Immaculate Church. Rev. Stephen D. Johnson and Deacon James Linderman celebrated the liturgy. The organist was Theresa Gabis.
Burial was in Gethsemane Cemetery. The bearers were Gary Sinclair, Paul Sinclair, James Sinclair, Larry Hause ,Robert Hause and William Hause.
Fiske Funeral Home directed arrangements.

Louise T. Koneval
Registered Nurse
ORANGE - Louise T. Koneval, 88, formerly of Orange and Athol, died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2003 in the Baldwinville Nursing Home, Baldwinville.
Born in Shenadoah, PA, on Nov. 1, 1914, a daughter of John A. and Cecelia J. (Wydra) Koneval, she lived most of her life in East Greenbush, NY until moving to the Athol - Orange area in 1990.
A registered nurse, she trained for the nursing profession at St. Mary's School of Nursing, Brooklyn, NY, and was employed in the Albany - Rennselaer, NY area for many years until retiring.
A member and former Eucharistic Minister of St. Mary's Church, Orange, she was a former member of St. John's Church, St. John's Rosary and Altar Societies, Rennselaer, and was active in the 3rd Order of Franciscans.
Skilled at crocheting, she also enjoyed making rosary beads, reading and crossword puzzles.
She leaves a sister, Cecilia Miller, a nephew, Paul Miller and wife, Mary Ann, all of Orange. She was predeceased by two brothers, Arthur Koneval and John J. Koneval, and three sisters, Marie Koneval, Elizabeth Koneval and Catherine Koneval.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, Oct. 15 at 5 p.m. in St. Mary's Church. A committal service will be held Saturday, Oct. 18 at 11 a.m. in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Rennselaer, NY.
There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to Most Holy Trinity Monastery, 67 Dugway Rd., Petersham, MA. 01366 or St. Mary's Church, 19 Congress St., Orange, MA. 01364. Witty's Funeral Home, Orange, is directing the arrangements.

Rita C. Clark
L.S. Starrett Retiree
ORANGE - Rita C. (Hubbard) Clark, 79, of 28 Highland St., died Monday, Sept. 29, 2003 in the Athol Memorial Hospital.
Born in Warwick, on Dec. 30, 1923, a daughter of Walter O. And Carrie N. (Fisher) Hubbard, she grew up in Warwick and graduated from Orange High School in 1940.
A resident of Orange for more than 50 years, she worked at the L.S. Starrett Company, Athol over 40 years prior to her retirement.
She enjoyed her family which included many nephews and nieces whom she regarded like as if they were her own children. A loving wife and homemaker, she was skilled at cooking, crocheting, knitting and sewing. She was an enthusiastic bird watcher.
Her husband of 54 years, Kenneth G. Clark, died in 2001. She was also predeceased by two brothers, Kenneth Hubbard, Sr. and Hollis Hubbard. She leaves a sister, Emily Benoit of Warwick; and many nephews and nieces.
A graveside service will be held Monday, Oct. 6 at 2 p.m. in South Cemetery. The Rev. Lois S. Buchiane of Community Church of North Orange and Tully will officiate.
There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers contibutions are suggested to Greenfield Area Animal Shelter, French King Highway, Greenfield, 01301.

Francis P. Stoico
Welder, Loom Builder
HOPEDALE - Francis P. Stoico, 74, of 102 Hopedale St., died Monday, Sept. 29, 2003.
He was the husband of the late Marjorie (Davis) Stoico, who died in 1996.
He was born in Milford, son of the late Michele and Francesca (Berardi) Stoico and lived in Milford before moving to Hopedale in 1984. He was educated in the Milford schools.
He was a World War II navy veteran.
He retired in 1984 from the Framingham Welding Company where he was employed as a welder. Previously he was employed as a loom builder for the former Draper Corp. in Hopedale. He was a communicant of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and a member of the Hoboken Citizen's Club.
He is survived by two daughters, Sharon Jennings of Athol, and Sueann Jacobsen of Hopedale; two grandchildren, Stephanie Jacobsen and Jessica Jacobsen, both of Hopedale. He was predeceased by four brothers Joseph Stoico, Michael Stoico, Vincent Stoico and Nicholas Stoico, and two sisters, Nina Creasia and Mary Aquaro.
A funeral home service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of the Consigli - Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St.
Burial will follow in the Vernon Grove Cemetery on Depot Street.
Calling hours are Thurday from 4 to 8 p.m.

Reopell Services
ROYALSTON - Graveside services for William Reopell, 67, of Prospect Hill Road, who died Aug. 10, 2003, will be held Saturday, Oct. 11, at 11 a.m. in the Eastlawn Cemetery in Williamstown. The Rev. Fr. Mark Burke, pastor of St. Patrick and St. Raphael Churches of Williamstown will officiate.
Higgins - O'Connor Funeral Home of Athol is directing arrangements.

Roger W. Bollier
Founded Niagara Cutter
ATHOL - Roger Wallace Bollier, 81, founder of Niagara Cutter, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, from complications following surgery.
Roger W. was born on Jan. 2, 1922, in North Tonawanda, Michigan School of Engineering in 1946. He served as a United States Navy officer in the Pacific during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart for injuries suffered during the Iwo Jima campaign.
Roger W. founded Niagara Cutter in 1954, and Balzers Tool Coating in 1984.
He was known as a man with enthusiasm for life, an optimistic outlook, hope and a sincere interest in the welfare of those around him. Family, friends and business associates were an integral part of his life and were important to everything he undertook. Throughout his life he was a leader, a good friend, a supportive husband, a good father and good role model.
There will be a private family funeral. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Saturday, Oct. 4 at 1 p.m. at North Presbyterian Church, 300 North Forest Rd., Williamsville, N.Y. 14202 - 1197. Cards and condolences can be sent to Bernice M. Bollier at P.O. Box 396, Williamsville, N.Y., 14231 - 0396.

ORANGE - Rita C. (Hubbard) Clark, 79, of 28 Highland St., died Monday, Sept. 29, 2003, in Athol Memorial Hospital.

Francis P. Stoico
HOPEDALE - Francis P. Stoico, 74, of 102 Hopedale St., died Monday, Sept. 29, 2003.

Adams Services
ATHOL - A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003 in St. Mary's Church, Orange, for James A. Adams, 77, formerly of Athol, who died on Sept. 20, 2003 at the Veterans Medical Center in Northampton. The Rev. Fr. William Lunney officiated. Theresa Bergquist was the cantor and Janet Paoletti was the oganist.
Interment followed in Silver Lake Cemetery. Pallbearers were William Care, Willard Chiasson, Jeffrey Cole and James O'Connor.
Witty's Funeral Home, Orange, directed the arrangements.

FAIRFIELD, CT. - Victoria C. (Zebrowski) Doktor, 89, formerly of Warren, died Friday, Sept. 26, 2003.

Marion F. Hughes
POULTNEY, VT. - Marion F. (Fellows) Hughes, 85, of Poultney, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003 in the Helen Porter Nursing Home in Middlebury.
