Neva F. Isennock
81, of Westminster
Neva Frances Isennock, 81, of Westminster, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 1999, at Carroll County General Hospital.
Born Aug. 11, 1918, in High Point, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Richardson and Mollie R. Poole. She was the wife of the late Maurice W. Isennock.
Prior to retirement, she had been an inspector for Western Electric.
Surviving are sons Maurice W. Isennock Jr. and Robert C. Isennock, both of Westminster; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday at Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown, with the Rev. Doug Hoffman officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Jack E. Masimore
62, of Manchester
Jack Edward Masimore, 62, of Manchester, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 1999, at his home.
Born June 30, 1937, in Hampstead, he was the son of the late Chester and Evelyn Leppo Masimore. He was the husband of Pat Burk Masimore.
He retired after 42 years from Schindler Corp. as an elevator technician. He was a member of Lebanon 175 AF&AM, past master three times and past grand inspector, Lebanon Chapter 108, Scottish Rite 32 Degrees, Boumi Temple, Western Maryland Shrine Club. He was Maryland Master Mason of the Year in 1998. He enjoyed camping and traveling.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are brother James H. Masimore Sr. of Hampstead; sister Helen Bresnick of Baltimore; and half-sister Francis Armacost of Hampstead.
He was predeceased by brother Arthur Masimore; sister Bertie Simpers; half-brother Kenneth Masimore; and half-sister Dorothy Hollingsworth.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main St., Hampstead, with the Rev. David Sulcer officiating. Interment will be in New Lutheran Cemetery, Manchester.
Memorial contributions may be made to Westminster Church of God, c/o Building Fund, Md. 27 and Lucabaugh Mill Road, Westminster, MD 21157.

Norman R. Rager Sr.
84, of New Oxford, Pa.
Norman R. Rager Sr., 84, of New Oxford, Pa., died Sunday, Oct. 31, 1999, at Hanover Hospital, Hanover, Pa.
Born April 30, 1915, in Gettysburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Charles and Emma Moser Rager. He was the husband of Winifred M. Groft Rager.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Immaculate Conception Church.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are daughters Elaine M. Sproch of Plantation, Fla., Loretta A. Koontz of Chantilly, Va.; sons Ronald C. Rager of Riverview, Fla., Rodney L. Rager of Glen Rock, Pa., Norman R. Rager Jr. of Brodbecks, Pa., Dennis R. Rager of Hanover, Pa., and Randy E. Rager of Westminster; sisters Catherine Swope of Gettysburg, Pa., and Ardella Palmieri of Pittsburgh; 22 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Norma R. Rager.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 106 Carlisle St., New Oxford, Pa., with his pastor, the Rev. Francis J. Hudak, as celebrant. Interment will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York, Pa.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Feiser Funeral Home, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, Pa., where a prayer service will be held at 8 p.m.

Rosalie A.M. Roberts
97, of Westminster
Rosalie Anna Marie Roberts, 97, of Westminster, died Monday, Nov. 1, 1999, at the Westminster Nursing and Convalescent Center.
Born Jan. 30, 1902, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late John Christian and A. Hagedorn. She was the wife of Lloyd Roberts, who died in 1982.
She was a homemaker most of her life and a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Westminster.
Surviving are three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by daughter Elaine Augusta Giles who died in 1987 and sister Augusta J. Kunze.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster, with the Rev. L. Stanley Whitson officiating. Interment will be in Parkwood Cemetery, Baltimore.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Richard W. Shearer Sr.
56, of Hanover, Pa.
Richard W. Shearer Sr., 56, of Hanover, Pa., died Sunday evening, Oct. 31, 1999, at his residence, after a brief bout with lung cancer.
Born Feb. 24, 1943, in Hanover, Pa., he was the son of Walter J. Shearer of Thomasville, Pa., and the late Selena E. Menges Shearer. He was the husband of Anna L. Warner Shearer, his wife of 21 years.
He was a 1960 graduate of Spring Grove High School. He was employed by Carroll County as a deputy sheriff and correctional officer until his illness. Prior to that, he was a life insurance salesman for 16 years, a police officer in Penn Township for five years, and a constable and deputy sheriff in York County for six years.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Hanover, Pa.; the BPOE 763 of Hanover, Pa.; the Jefferson Rifle Club; and a past president of Hanover Gettysburg Association of Life Underwriters.
Surviving, in addition to his father and wife, are sons Richard W. Shearer Jr. of Thomasville, Pa., Duane P. Shearer of Red Lion, Pa., and Shawn M. Shearer of Spring Grove, Pa.; daughter Jodie M. Senft of Dover, Pa.; step-daughter Julie A. Hughes of Hanover, Pa.; sister Norma Jean Stambaugh of Spring Grove, Pa.; three granddaughters; and seven grandsons.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 127 York St., Hanover, Pa. , with his pastor, the Rev. Douglas E. Johnson and intern pastor, Stephanie Eichhorst, officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul's (Dubs) Lutheran and Reformed Church Cemetery, Hanover, Pa.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Kenworthy Funeral Home Inc., 269 Frederick St., Hanover, Pa. and from 9 a.m. Thursday until time of service at the church.

Harry V. Stipe Sr.
82, of Damascus
Harry V. Stipe Sr., 82, of Damascus, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 1999, at his home.
Born July 25, 1917, in Wadesville, Va., he was the son of the late Henry Francis and Anna Blanche Fox Stipe. He was the husband of Eleanor Oliver Stipe, his wife of 57 years.
In 1939, he earned a double degree in physical education and history from Shepherd College, where he was a member of Theta Sigma Chi fraternity. He then earned a master's degree in physical education from the University of West Virginia. In 1993, he was inducted into the Shepherd College Athletic Hall of Fame.
Before moving to Damascus in 1941, he spent two years as a principal in Virginia. He moved to Damascus to take a teaching job at Damascus High School, where he spent 33 years as teacher, coach and principal before retiring in 1974. As basketball coach, he led the high school team to its only state championship win in 1949. The Harry V. Stipe Scholar Athlete Award at Damascus High School is named in his honor. He was one of the first certified driver's education teachers in the state.
He was involved in numerous civic activities. During World War II, he served as a Minuteman in the Damascus Civil Air Defense Patrol. He was a founding member of the Damascus volunteer fire department and charter member and former secretary of the Damascus Lions Club. He was a member of Damascus United Methodist Church.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are daughter Harriet Stipe Bush of Scottsdale, Ariz.; son George O. Stipe of Woodsboro; sister Elizabeth Neel of Martinsburg; numerous nieces and nephews; and three grandchildren.
He was predeceased by son Harry V. Stipe Jr.; and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Damascus United Methodist Church, 9700 New Church St., Damascus, with his pastors, the Revs. Walter Edmonds and Harry Cole, officiating. Interment will be in Damascus Methodist Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Olin L. Molesworth Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus.

Linwood C. Warrington
80, of Shenandoah Junction, W.Va.
Linwood Calvin Warrington, 80, of Shenandoah Junction, W. Va., formerly of Winfield, died Monday, Nov. 1, 1999, at the Veterans Administration, Martinsburg, W. Va.
Born March 22, 1919, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Walter Edward and Amelia Maier Warrington. He was the husband of Jessie Mabe Warrington.
He had served in the Army during World War II. He was the owner and operator of the former Winfield Market. Prior to his operating the market, he had worked for the Cities Service Oil Corp., Westminster. He was a member of the Moreville Farm VFW Post 467, Westminster.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons Linwood C. Warrington Jr. of Frederick, William E. Warrington of Salt Lake City, and William T. Giles III of York, Pa.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
He was predeceased by daughter Martha E. Ault; and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, with the Rev. John Morrill officiating. Interment will be in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens, Marriottsville.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mary S. Zeltman
81, of Westminster
Mary Sophia Zeltman, 81, of Westminster, formerly of Sykesville, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 1999, at Carroll Lutheran Village, Westminster.
Born July 3, 1918, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Teresa Weintrett Kennedy. She was the wife of the late Irvin Zeltman.
She had been a homemaker for most of her life.
Surviving are son and daughter-in-law Robert and Joyce Zeltman of Hanover, Md.; and four grandchildren.
She was predeceased by daughter Joan Zeltman Wagner.
A funeral liturgy will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Liberty Road, Eldersburg, with the Rev. Paul Reich as celebrant. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville.

Charles A. Della Jr.
59, of Westminster
Charles A. Della Jr., 59, of Westminster, died Monday, Oct. 6, 1997, at his home.
Born Oct. 21, 1937, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Charles A. Sr. and Anna Bormurth Della. He was the husband of Alice L. Burns Della.
He worked as a machinist foreman for ASC Corp. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of Greenmount United Methodist Church, Carroll Promenaders, Keystone Free Staters and Larlin Round Dance Club.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are son Mark A. Della of Westminster; daughter Kimberly L. Mackie of Spring Grove, Pa.; sister Nancy Elkins of Pasadena, Calif.; brother James E. Della of Modesto, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main St., Hampstead, with the Rev. Philip Tocknell officiating. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Richard W. Duble
77, of Thurmont
Richard William Duble, 77, of Thurmont, died Monday, Oct. 6, 1997, at Frederick Memorial Hospital, Frederick.
Born Oct. 7, 1919, in Graceham, he was the son of the late John Wesley and Anna Grace Stambaugh Duble. He was the husband of Pauline Guyton Rice Duble, whom he married March 30, 1941.
He was a lifelong member of Mt. Tabor United Church of Christ, Rocky Ridge and served on the Rocky Ridge Park Board. He farmed in Graceham until 1966 and then was employed at Southern States in Woodsboro until retiring in 1978.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are son and daughter-in-law Gerald Richard and Lois Duble of New Windsor; two grandsons, four great-grandsons, a niece and a nephew.
He was predeceased by brother John Duble, who died Dec. 31, 1986.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mt. Tabor United Church of Christ, Longs Mill Road, Rocky Ridge, with his pastor, the Rev. Rosemary McCombs-Maxey, and the Rev. Donald Stine officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Thurmont Funeral Home of Robert E. Dailey & Sons, 615 E. Main St.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and one hour prior to service at the church Thursday.

Sterling L. Flickinger
68, of Westminster
Sterling L. Flickinger, 68, of Westminster, died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 1997, at Carroll County General Hospital.
Born July 31, 1929, in Carroll County, he was the son of the late Burnette and Mary Grace Leister Flickinger. He was the husband of Nancy Markle Flickinger, his wife of 48 years.
He was a 1946 graduate of Westminster High School. He was retired from 3M of Westminster.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are daughter Ronni Flickinger of Taneytown; brother John C. Flickinger of Westminster; sister Helen Cassell of Westminster; and a grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Little's Funeral Home, Littlestown, Pa., with the Rev. H. Lee Brumback II officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Silver Run.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Catherine G. Goodman
93, of Sykesville
Catherine G. Goodman, 93, of Sykesville, died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 1997, at Westminster Nursing and Convalescent Center.
Born Nov. 17, 1903, in Virginia, she was the daughter of the late James and Hattie Tomlin Childs. She was the wife of the late Chauncey P. Goodman.
She had been a machinist with Mt. Vernon Cotton Mills and a supply clerk at Greater Baltimore Medical Center.
She is survived by sons James Perry Goodman of Baltimore and Kenneth Chauncey Goodman of Finksburg; daughters Beverly Jean Harris of Towson, Catherine Maybelle Baxter of Massachusetts and Louise Aversa of Rosedale; sisters Mary Schildt and Virginia Heathcoat, both of Baltimore; 19 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, Md. 32, near Sykesville, with the Rev. Jeff Odom officiating. Interment will be in Meadowridge Memorial Park, Elkridge.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
