Camilla M. Pinkett

CAMBRIDGE - Camilla Mae Pinkett passed away Sunday, Aug. 10, 2003 at Harbor Hospital in Baltimore after a brief illness.

She was a 1969 graduate of Mace's Lane High School.

Ms. Pinkett is survived by her mother, Hattie Pinkett; three sisters, Virginia Dockins, Gladys Nixon and Rosemary King and three brothers, Wayman Manokey, Theodore Manokey and Leon Pinkett.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Bethel AME Church in Cambridge with Elder Samuel Brisco officiating. Burial will follow in Old Field Cemetery.

There will be a viewing a half hour prior to the services.

The Henry Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge is handling the arrangements.

Belle S. Eberspacher

CAMBRIDGE - Belle S. Eberspacher, 92, formerly of Griffith's Neck, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2001 at the T.L. Care Home, after a lengthy illness. She had been in failing health for several years and had been a resident at T.L.C. for the past three years.

She was born Nov. 24, 1908 in Vienna, the daughter of the late Ollie H. and Susie Ann Sellers Brinsfield.

Mrs. Eberspacher had attended schools at Steele's Neck. On Oct. 14, 1941 she was married to Carol Henry Eberspacher. He passed away on March 16, 1979.

She had attended the Vienna United Methodist Church. Mrs. Eberspacher had been a homemaker for most of her life. She had also been a member of the Dorchester County Farm Bureau.

Mrs. Eberspacher is survived by one sister, Virginia R. Hurley of Vienna; one brother, Melvin Brinsfield of Vienna; one sister-in-law, Louise Wallace of Salisbury and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard Brinsfield and Randall Brinsfield.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. today at St. Paul's P.E. Cemetery in Vienna with the Rev. Mary Ann Farnell officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Vienna United Methodist Church, c/o Carol Johnson, 3960 Elliott Island Road, Vienna, MD 21869 or to the Vienna Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 5, Vienna, MD 21869.

Arrangements are being handled by the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.

John E. Farrare

BALTIMORE - John E. Farrare, passed away Saturday, Sept. 14, 2002.

He was the son of Bertie Jones of Vienna and the late John Farrare. He is survived by a sister, Eunice Jones of Vienna and a brother, Oliver Farrare of Salisbury.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday in Baltimore. Burial will be held at Reid's Grove.

Terry A. DeWald

ARNOLD - Terry A. DeWald, 61, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2002 at his home.

He was born Nov. 2, 1940 in Reading, Pa., the son of Austin R. DeWald of Arnold and the late Delma M. Reber.

Mr. DeWald was raised in Schuylkill Haven, Pa., where he attended public schools and graduated in 1958. He then attended Lebanon Valley College in Annville, Pa. and graduated with a B.S. degree in music in 1962. After college he moved to Denton, where he taught instrumental band classes in Caroline County public schools. He was a percussionist with various musical groups, including the Lou Startt band.

In 1970 Mr. DeWald began his career with the Department of Juvenile Justice. In 1979 he married Leah M. Parker of Cambridge and they relocated to Annapolis, where he continued to work for the state of Maryland. In Annapolis, he was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, where he used his musical talent as choir director for many years. In 1986 he and his family moved to Arnold and later transferred membership to the Marley Park Church of the Nazarene.

Mr. DeWald enjoyed his teaching and counseling careers working with children for 40 years. He had many interests including music, history, reading, traveling and photography.

Besides his father and wife of Arnold, he is survived by a daughter, Shannon DeWald Jester and her husband, Jason Jester of Federalsburg; three granddaughters, Amber, Twyla and Kaylee Jester; his mother-in-law, Helen W. Parker and brother-in-law, Jeffrey L. Parker.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at the Marley Park Church of the Nazarene, 7741 Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd., Glen Burnie with Dr. Phillip Bolerjack officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 3120 Timanus, LA., Suite 106, Baltimore, MD 21244 or the American Cancer Society, 1041 Rt. 3, North Gambrills, MD 21054.

Arrangements are by being handled by the Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home.

Estella B. S. Williams

ORLANDO, Fla. - Estella B. Seymour Williams, 47, formerly of Cambridge, passed away Friday, Aug. 8, 2003.

Her survivors include her husband, Robert Williams of Florida; daughters, Nikki A. Sadler of New Jersey, Kiara Williams of Florida; son, Wesley Williams of Florida; stepson, Antwine Williams of Hurlock; sister, Geraldine Teagle of New Jersey; brother, Lannie J. Seymour of Frederick and granddaughter, Simone Sadler of New Jersey.

A viewing will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Refuge Temple Church of God in Cambridge. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the church.

John E. Hall

ST. MICHAELS - J. Edward Hall (Ed), 91, known as "Gang-Gang" by his family died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003 at the William Hill Healthcare Center in Easton.

He was born Jan. 24, 1912 in Newcomb, the son of the late Ernest Earl and Margaret Gilman Hall.

Mr. Hall had worked as a carpenter for most of his life, and was also a member of the Easton Moose Lodge 1520.

He is survived by a daughter, Edwina "Winnie" A. Schultz and her companion, David C. "Poojoe" Jones Sr. of Wittman and a close friend, Anna Mae Walbert of Easton. Mr. Hall is also survived by five grandchildren, Kathy Barrack and husband, William of Hurlock, Grace Ann Ball and husband, Eddie of Cordova, John B. Schultz and companion, Edie of Denton, Charles P. Schultz and wife, Penney of Cordova and Brandon K. Schultz of Harrisonburg, Va.; five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Vernon Hall of Harmony and two sisters, Hilda Jaywork of Milford, Del and Margaret Hall of Baltimore.

Mr. Hall was preceded in death by a great-great-grandchild, Kelsea Lynn Hendricks.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. today at Spring Hill Cemetery in Easton with the Rev. Fred Bahr officiating. A viewing was held Monday evening at the R. Carroll Hurley Funeral Home in St. Michaels.

Memorial donations may be made to Tilghman United Methodist Church, 5731 Tilghman Island Road, Tilghman, MD 21671.

Alpha O. Cornish

CAMBRIDGE - Alpha Omega Cornish passed away Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003 at Dorchester General Hospital.

She was born Aug. 11, 1916 in Dorchester County, the daughter of the late Thomas and Beulah Woolford.

The Henry Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge is handling the arrangements.

Douglas A. Camper

CAMBRIDGE - Douglas Andre Camper, 49, better known as "Scrapple" died Friday, Aug. 3, 2001 at his home.

He was born June 12, 1952, son of Elizabeth Ennels Camper and the late Earl Lee.

Mr. Camper received his education in the public schools of Dorchester County. At the time of his death, he was an employee of Moxey's Taxi Service.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two children - Jasmine and Jermaine Adams, both of Baltimore; four sisters - Elois Camper Cooper, Gwendolyn Camper and Sandra Lee Ennels, all of Cambridge and Virginia Camper King of Easton; two brothers - James Camper and Earl Lee Jr., both of Cambridge and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mr. Camper was preceded in death by two sisters, Gloria and Mary Camper; four brothers, Louis and Charles Camper and Larry and William Lee.

A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Bethel AME Church with the Rev. Clarence Rochester officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery.

There will be a viewing from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Henry Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 8 to 9 p.m.

Friends may also call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Bethel Church.

The Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Belle B. Eberspacher

CAMBRIDGE - Belle B. Eberspacher, 92, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2001. She was the wife of the late Carl H. Eberspacher.

A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul's P.E. Cemetery in Vienna by the Rev. Mary Ann Farnell.

Memorials may be made to either the Vienna United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 278, Vienna, MD 21869 or the Vienna Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 5, Vienna, MD 21869.

Edith N. Reihms

PRESTON - Edith Naomi Reihms, 91, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2001 at Shore Health and Rehabilitation Center in Denton.

She was born Aug. 24, 1909 in Staton, Del., the daughter of the late William Henry Rash and Evelyn Streets Rash. Her husband, Earl Franklin Reihms, preceded her in death on Aug. 22, 1981.

She was a homemaker. She purchased and ran the Independent Country Church in Templeville for 16 years. She attended Friendship Community Church near Federalsburg.

Mrs. Reihms is survived by a half-brother, Samuel Lawrence Rash of Christiana, Del., and nieces and nephews and a friend and caretaker, Mable E. Friend of Preston.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two infants, Bonnie Evelyn Reihms and Iris Thelma Reihms and six brothers and sisters.

Graveside services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday at Sharon Hills Memorial Park in Dover, Del. Friends may call at the Framptom-Hawkins-Eskow Funeral Home, P.A. in Federalsburg from 6-7 p.m. Thursday.

Hayward H. Murray

CAMBRIDGE - Hayward Hopkins Murray, 71, passed away Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 5, 2003 at Dorchester General Hospital.

He was born Aug. 18, 1931 in Salem the 12th child in a family of 14 to the late George and Vera Hopkins Murray.

Mr. Murray was a retired truck driver, having been employed by Wheatley Trucking, Koski Trucking, Robinson Chemical Co. and Fooks Concrete Co. He traveled many places and met many friends.

He received his early education at Salem Elementary Schol in Dorchester County and graduated from Frederick Douglas St. Clair High School in 1948.

Mr. Murray served several years in the United States Navy. He was a long time member of the American Legion Post 87.

He received his early religious background at Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church in Salem. In later years he became a member of Bethel AME Church in Cambridge. He loved to sing and loved good singing.

He was joined in Holy Matrimony to Betty Palmer. From this union three sons were born, Hayward Lamont, Frederick James and Andre Eugene.

Mr. Murray is survived by his former wife, Betty; four sons, Hayward, Frederick, Andre and Rhett; two daughters, Vanessa and Treka; 16 grandchildren; nine great-grandchilden; two sisters, Lula Washington and Vera (Gregory) Brockman; two brothers, Floyd (Mildred) Murray and George (Annie) Murray; a niece/sister, Lauretta Freeman; a niece-in-law, Agnes Murray; a brother-in-law, Granville Tilghman and a number of other nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves a special friend, Elsie Churchwell.

He was preceded in death by six sisters, Villa Jackson, Ethel Buroughs, Mary Louise Murray, Lena Larkin, Esther Tilghman and Thelma Cornish; one brother, Harvey Murray and three brothers-in-law.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Bennie Smith Funeral Home in Cambridge.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Virginia R. Hurley

VIENNA - Virginia R. Hurley, 85, of Steele's Neck, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2003 at her home. She had been in failing health for several months prior to her passing.

Born on Sep. 18, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Ollie H. and Susie Ann Sellers Brinsfield.

She attended schools in and around Vienna, and was a lifelong resident in the Steele's Neck area. On June 1, 1935, she married Earl Edwin Hurley.

Survivors include one daughter, Jean Hughes of Vienna; three sons, Charles E. Hurley, of Little Rock, Arkansas, Earl E. Hurley, Jr. of Rhodesdale and Russell W. Hurley of Salem; 19 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, one brother, Melvin Brinsfield of Vienna, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, who passed away on Oct. 7, 1990, she was preceded in death by a son, Lester F. Hurley, two grandsons, Brian E. Hurley and Ronnie Hurley, one sister, Belle Eberspacher and two brothers, John Brinsfield and Randall Brinsfield.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m. at the East New Market Cemetery, with the Rev. Helen B. Lockwood officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salem United Methodist Church Faith Circle, c/o Mrs. Robert Phillips, 4910 Ravenwood Rd., Vienna, MD 21869, or to the Vienna Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 5, Vienna.

Bernice V. Molock

CAMBRIDGE - Bernice Virginia Molock, 68, died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2003 at the University Hospital in Baltimore.

She was born July 31, 1935 in Dorchester County, daughter of Mary Henry-Woolford of Cambridge and the late Rev. Wilbert Woolford Sr.

Mrs. Molock was educated in the public schools of Dorchester County and was a 1954 graduate of Mace's Lane High School.

After graduation, she was employed as a seamstress at the Rob Roy Co. and retired from the Yale Sewing Co. in Easton. During her retirement she served as a senior-aide receptionist for various community agencies.

Being born in a Christian family, at an early age she served as a member of Christ UM Church in Aireys, participating in the youth programs and other services of the church. In the early 1970s she became a member of the United Missionary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Molock held membership in the Progressive of Dorchester Temple 224 IBPOEW and held various positions from within the organization. She also was a member of the Household of Ruth, District 27 and had held several offices.

Besides her mother, her survivors include four daughters, Cynthia Meekins of Cambridge, Patricia and husband, Eric Jackson of Baltimore, Pandoria and husband, James Taylor of Cambridge, Veronica and husband, Terry George of Cambridge; one son, George Godfrey and wife, Deidra of Georgia; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Bertha Pinder of Salisbury, Gloria Woolford of Cambridge, Rosetta Montgomery of Cleveland, Ohio; three brothers, Frederick Woolford of Cambridge, Louis Woolford of Dover and Wilbert Woolford of Philadelphia. Mrs. Molock is also survived by a brother-in-law, Leroy Montgomery; a sister-in-law, Clara Woolford; numerous nieces, nephews and a special niece and nephew raised as her own, Bonnie Young and James Monroe Pinder III; and numerous cousins and other relatives.

Besides her father, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Althea Molock and Roslyn Aldridge; two sisters, Clara Flowers and Alice Cornish and one brother, Thomas Woolford.

A funeral service will be held noon Monday at Bethel AME Church in Cambridge. Burial will follow at the Old Field Cemetery.

A wake service will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Sunday at Bethel Church.

Agnes M. Murray

EASTON - Agnes Milbourne Murray, 87, died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2003 at the House in the Pines in Easton.

She as born Feb. 23, 1916 in Accomac County, Virginia, daughter of the late Elizah Seb Milbourne and Lily Lewis Milbourne.

Mrs. Murray received her early education in the public schools of Accomac County. Her usual occupation was as an employee of the seafood industry.

She was often considered the matriach of her family and education was very important to her. As a parent with a sixth grade education she was delighted to see her son receive a doctorate degree.

Her leisure hours were spent reading and doing crossword puzzles.

Mrs. Murray's survivors include two sons and a daughter, William Edward Milbourne of Easton, Dr. Richard McKinley Milbourne and wife, Doris of Baltimore and Eunice Lorraine Murray of Bellevue; one grandchild, Richard Dorcette Milbourne; two sisters, Grace Collins of Bridgeton, N.J. and Flora Goldsboro of St. Michaels and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Preceding her in death, other than her parents were five brothers, Neal, Mathew, Ned, Russell and Clyde Milbourne; three sisters, Eunice Johnson, Lillie Ann Fields and Marie Green and an infant daughter, Doreen (baby sister).

A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Luke UM Church in Bellevue with the Rev. Jerome Tilghman officiating. Burial will follow at the Richard's Memorial Park in Easton.
