CLARA F. CUMMINGS
ENFIELD - Clara F. Cummings, 85, wife of the late Paul Cummings, passed away Dec. 25, 2007, at a Lincoln hospital. She was born Jan. 11, 1922, in Howland, the daughter of Maurice and Glenys Fern (Myrick) Thompson. Clara was a long time member of the West Enfield Baptist Church. She and her late husband worked for many years at Baxter State Park. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and baking and loved children. She practically raised many of the children of her family members.
She is survived by four grandchildren, Beth Archer and Waldo of Enfield, Brian Porter and Brooke of Corinth; Shannon Marriner and Darrin of Belfast, and Joseph Porter of Seattle, Thompson of Alaska and Donald Texas; siblings, Sharon Albert, Mary Jean Twist, Francine McQuinn, Carroll-Ann Armstrong and Danny Barker;special nephew, Jeff Albert and his family; several nieces and nephews and many special, close friends. The family would like to thank Millinocket Regional Hospital and Katahdin Area Support Group for the care and support they provided for Ellen.

A celebration of her life will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church. Graveside service will be after at Millinocket Cemetery, and a luncheon will be held at the church after the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Katahdin Area Support Group, 10 Field Street, Millinocket, ME 04462. Arrangements with Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd., Lincoln.

BRUCE W. DARLING
PASSADUMKEAG - Bruce W. Darling, 59, husband of Barbara (Springer) Darling, went home to be with the Lord, March 24, 2008 at a Bangor healthcare facility. He was born Oct 31, 1948, in Old Town, the son of Quinton W. And Phyllis (Stormann) Darling. Bruce worked for his special friend, Fremont Madden and more recently for Madden’s Timberlands of Passadumkeag.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Wesley and Bobby Darling. In addition to his wife, Barbara, he is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Tammy Ouellet and Dan of Pittsfield, and Rhonda Smart and Craig of Green bush; two sisters, Stella Emery of Old Town and Mary Ann Doiron of Old Town; Wesley’s wife, Anna-Marie Darling of Old Town; five grandchildren, Adam, Cody, Dillon, Christopher and Courtney; many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Gould’s Ridge Cemetery, Passadumkeag. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate to the American Cancer Society, One Bowdoin Mill Island, Suite 300; Topsham, ME 04086; or to one’s favorite animal shelter.

RAMONA MAY JAMIESON DAUTRICH
LINCOLN - Ramona May Jamieson Dautrich, 77, passed away March 8, 2008, at a Lincoln hospital. Mona was born Jan 30, 1931 in Millinocket, the daughter of Fred and Leona (Bouchard) Montgomery. She worked as an inspector at Burndy Corp in Milford, Conn., for many years, as well as doing waitress work. She loved to play Bingo, doing crafts and enjoyed family get-togethers. She also liked to eat out and loved to tell jokes.
She is survived by a son, Gerard Jamieson and Debbie of Milford Conn., five brothers, Robert Montgomery and Rita of Lincoln, Fred Montgomery and Lucy of Jakin, Florida, William Montgomery of Medway, and Richard Montgomery and Esther of Millinocket; five sisters, Helen Blanchette and Paul of Millinocket, Virginia Thibodeau and Dick of Milford, Conn., Carol Robinson and Roger of Andover, New Brunswick, Beverly Pelkey and Nelson of Lincoln, and Rose Lankhorst of Bangor; seven grandchildren, William Gerard, Jr. Robert, Jody, Vanessa, Alex, Kaylee and Kelsey Jamieson; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She also leaves special and faithful friends, Tillie Bard and Maureen Wotton. She dearly loved her cat, Minou.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, William Jamieson, her second husband, Robert Dautrich, an infant daughter, Deborah, two brothers, and a sister, Gene, Ronald and Marlene.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon, Saturday, March 15, at St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church, with the Rev. Myles Cyr presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until time for departure to the church on Saturday at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Spring intermenty will be in Lincoln Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to the family may be left at the funeral home.

CHARLES "PHIL" DAY
WEST ENFIELD - Charles "Phil" Day, 77, husband of Claudette (Page) Day, passed away Oct. 8, 2007, at a Lincoln hospital. He ws born Nov 27, 1929, in Bangor, the son of Charles and Ordette (Starbird) Day. Phil was a U S Army Veteran of the Korean War, serving from 1948 to 1954. He was a member of the American Legion and the D.A.V. He loved the Red Sox.
In addition to his wife, Claudette, he is survived by five children, Cheryl, Jeffrey, Kathy, Cindy, and Michelle and John; two foster children, Mary and Anthony; two grandchildren, Crystal and Anthony; two other grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. He loved his dogs, "Sweetie" amd "Sassy." He was predeceased a son, Andrew, a brother, Cecil and a sister, Martha.

A graveside service, with full military honors, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the South Lincoln Cemetery, with the Rev. Keith Shorey officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Penobscot Valley Humane Society, P O Box 73, Lincoln, ME 04457. Arrangements with Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln.

PATRICIA I. DAY
DANFORTH - Patricia I. Day, 64, wife of Lester Day, died January 4, 2008 at a Houlton hospital. She was born July 24, 1943, in Danforth, the daughter of Burton and Gilberta (Irish) Spinney. Patricia was a graduate of Danforth High School and Husson College. She proudly served as a Navy wife for 15 years. She was a Girl Scout leader and had served on the Planning Board, Water Board ,School Board and as a Ballot Clerk in Danforth. She was a bus driver and substitute teacher for SAD 14 for 19 years and loved the school children. She loved to hunt and fish for perch, NASCAR, camping, knitting and crafts. She was loved by all that knew her.
In addition to her mother, Gilberta Spinney and her husband, Lester Day, she is survived by two children, Tracy Day-Kemper and her husband Robert and Larry Day and his wife Kim; two grandchildren, Devin Kemper and Alyssa Day; two step grandchildren, Amanda Wallace and Jennifer Ramsey; a sister, Peggy Spinney Sisson and her husband Charles; niece and nephews, Kim Crawford Weigand, Scott Crawford and Chuck Sisson; her mother-in-law, Nadine White Day; sister-in-law, Gail Day Crawford; 10 great nieces and nephews; several aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to her father Burton Spinney she was predeceased by a sister, Sheila Spinney.

Visiting hours for the school children will be from 2-4, Sunday at the Clay Funeral Home- Bartlett Chapel, 24 Houlton Road, Danforth. Friends may call from 6-8, Sunday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m, Monday, at the United Methodist Church in Danforth with Pastor Jim Boughman officiating.

MARY ISABELLE DeBECK
LINCOLN - Mary Isabelle DeBeck, 65, wife of the late Kenneth DeBeck, Sr, passed away April 30, 2008, at a Togus hospital. She was born Jan. 13, 1943, in Castine, the daughter of Donald and Natalie (Crocker) Hutchins. Mary was U S Navy Veteran, a member of the American Legion, and the Lincoln Veterans Honor Guard.. At one time, she was active in the Grange. She enjoyed spending her winters in Calif., and Jessica Forrest of San Diego; nieces and nephew, Jan MvEvilly, Joy Baez, and Don Becker, all of Oregon; and grandchildren; and a special nephew, Bill Zimmerman and counsins and friends. She was predeceased by two brothers, Carl S.E. Erickson and Oscar Harold Erickson. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Deitmer, who died in 1992.

She was born in Worcester, Maine, attended the local public schools, and graduated from Stearns High School in 1946.
She married Howard A. "Pee-Wee" Dentremont on February 28, 1948, who was employed by Great Northern Paper Company in E. Millinocket, after he served with the US Navy in World War II. Frances and Howard bought a house in E. Millinocket, had three children, and lived there together until his untimely passing in 1968. Frances was later marrried to Robert "Bob" McLean of Millinocket in 1971, until their divorce in 1992. Early in her career, Frances worked in the offices of the Great Northern Paper Company in Millinocket and later worked as a secretary for the Principal of Schenck High School in E. Millinocket. Her longest term of employment was with Katahdin Friends. Inc., where she worked for a number of years until her retirement. During retirement, Frances volunteered at the Opal Myrick Elementary School. She enjoyed activities such as arts and crafts projects, walking, aerobics, and she was a down hill skier until she converted to cross-country skiing in her later years. She was a voracious reader and always had a book by her side. She was also quite fond of sitting on her front porch and could be found relaxing there at times "watching the world go by." She found great strength in her devotion to Christ and was an active member of the First Baptist Church of East Millinocket. Through the years she served as a pianist, Sunday school teacher, bible school helper, and most recently as a member of the King's Daughters Mission Circle.

Frances is survived by her children; daughter, Susan Blood, and her husband Leon Blood of East Lebanon, ME, daughter Julie Adams, and her husband Joseph Adams of New Smyrna, FL, and son, Howard Dentremont, and his wife Christine Dentremont of Swans Island, ME; her grandchildren, Erika Blood of Falls Church, VA, Alec Blood of Baltimore, MD, and Sage Dentremont of Swans Island, ME; and her sister, Mary Boynton, of Raymond, ME; and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 21 at the First Baptist Church of East Millinocket located on 2 Oak Street. Memorial services will be led by Rev. Harold Lovestrand and held at 11:00 AM, a light luncheon will follow. Interment will be in East Millinocket Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the East Millinocket Public Library or the First Baptist Church of East Millinocket. Arrangements with Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln.

LUELLA C. DICKER
LINCOLN– Luella C. Dicker, 86, died October 26, 2007 at a Lincoln hospital. She was born in Chester, October 13, 1921, the daughter of Milledge and Etta (Budge) Boyce. Luella was a graduate of Mattanawcook Academy. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lincoln Center, serving in many capacities, including Sunday School Superintendent, Secretary, Treasurer, as well as Sunday School and Bible School teacher. She was also an advisor, sang in the choir, and belonged to Women’s Missionary Group. Luella was a willing worker, cleaning and painting the church.
Luella is survived by a daughter, Donna Rowley and Lee of Alton; a brother, Harmon Boyce and Dorothy of Lynn, MA; four sisters, Irene Nelson of Green sboro, Arizona in the winter and camp at Ambajejus Lake near Millinocket in the summer.

Bud is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Elaine (Brown) Dionne and four children, Cathy Mingo and her husband James of Holden, New York; Thomas and his wife Carol of Millinocket; and Carol Morrison and her husband Michael of Millinocket; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Donald and Robert.

At Bud’s request there will be no visitation or funeral. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Millinocket Cemetery . Those who wish may donate in his memory to either the Heart Center of Eastern Thompson Trucking, Thornton Forest Prod., Hanington Lumber, T.E. Linscott and Robin Crawford & Son. Andy was a great husband, father, brother, son, uncle and friend to all who knew him. He loved hunting, fishing, sledding up north with his buddies, shooting pool and hanging out at his garage, riding his motorcycle cross country with his brother, boating, spending time with his family and staying at his cabin on Deering Lake.
He is survived by his loving wife, Renita; three daughters, Kristy Worster and Chris Turner, of Lincoln, Natasha Brown and Michael Bartlett, of Weston and Tara Brown and Dustin Carter, of Etna; one grandson, Darian Andrew Worster, of Lincoln and a granddaughter, "Little Miss Carter" to be born in July; one brother and best friend, Benjamin and Jera Dill, of Prentiss; seven sisters, Elizabeth Baker and Rebecca and Mike Wood, all of Bangor, Bonnie and Lawrence Bedford, of San Antonio, Texas, Barbara and Mike Ward, of Prentiss, Nancy Dill and Steve Harrington, of Green ville, Thelma and Jim Daly, of Lakewood, Colorado and Annabelle and Jeff Kelman, of Glenburn; mother and father-in-law, Hubert and Beatrice Brown, of Wytopitlock; brothers and sisters-in-law, Cary and Ardis Brown, Tonya Brown and Mark Kneeland, Carmela Brown and Roger Parker, Garrett Brown and Chandra and Danny Campbell; Foreign exchange daughters, Nicola Thommes, of Germany and Cristina Rodriguez, of Spain; Devin King and Justin Tozier, who were like his sons; great friends, Peter Clark and John White; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his mother in 2000 and his father in 2001.

A celebration of Andy’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 13, at Andy and Renita’s home on Tar Ridge Road, Prentiss. In lieu of flowers, please donate to CHCS Hospice P.O.
