WILLIAM CAMBRIDGE "CAM" EDDY
"THE LAST NEWFOUNDLANDER"

LINCOLN - William Cambridge "Cam" Eddy, "The Last Newfoundlander," died Oct 25, 2007, in Lincoln at Penobscot Valley Hospital. He was born June 18, 1922 in North Harbour Newfoundland. William, known as Cam, Bill, Poppy, Skipper and Herring Choker, began working at an early age on his family fishing and trading schooners and lumbering operation. He moved to the US working on farms in Prentiss and Corinna. While visiting Newfoundland the late 40's, he was caught by and married the late Ruby Winifred Taylor. They returned to the Lincoln area and resided on the Enfield Road in Lincoln for more than 50 years. He worked "in the woods" for many years. In the 60's he partnered with Ruby and family and friends running "Eddy's Beanhole Beans." He retired from Forster Manufacturing where he was a scaler in 1999 at the age of 71. He was quick to point out that the abbreviation for Newfoundland....NFLD... meant "never found lying down"
He is predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Ruby, granddaughter Laura May of Lincoln. He is survived by sister Nita of Swift Current, Placentia Bay, Newfoundland, brother Stan of North Harbour, Placentia Bay, Newfoundland; his sons, William George and wife Sanyo Eddy of Lincoln, Cyril and Susan Eddy of Barrington, NH Ronald Eddy of Burlington; his granddaughters, Melinda Eddy, Lincoln, Kim and husband Dwayne Doucette of Mooresville, Kasey and husband Allen Davis of Maiden, New York; great grandchildren Kylee and Brady Doucette of Mooresville, N.Y., the daughter of Alfred Holden Southworth and Florence (Hubbard) Southworth. In 1925 Marion went to live with her beloved grandparents, John and Catherine (Neville) Southworth; and three aunts, Sarah H., Isabel F. and Marion A. Southworth of Methuen, Mass. She graduated from Edward F. Searles High School in 1939 and attended Mary North Carolina; two sisters, Phoebe Wade of Maine champions. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. He served with the 571st Military Police Company, 97th Military Police Battalion, 18th Military Police Brigade of Fort Lewis, Thompson of Alaska; paternal grandmother, Joan Emery, of Danforth; one niece, Quie Siegfried; one nephew, Howard Francis; aunts and uncles, Alton Thompson and Lisa, Chris Thompson, and Paul Texas while he was deployed to Iraq. Chuhyon will be accompanied to the funeral with her mother, Si Kyoung Jones, her father, William Jones, her brother, Chol Woo Pak, and his wife Un Chong Pak, her grandmother, Kay Jones and aunt Susan Jones. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Cpl. Earl W. Emery.

Funeral services will be held at noon Friday at the Lee Academy Gymnasium. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a scholarship in his memory at Lee Academy. Arrangements with Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln.

JASPER WALTON FAULKNER
Winn - Jasper Walton Faulkner, 80, husband of Karen (Lane) Faulkner, passed away June 18, 2008, at a Lincoln hospital. He was born December 19, 1927, in Orient, the son of Leon and Bertha (Austin) Faulkner. Jasper grew up on "Skin Corner" in Haynesville and loved to talk about his childhood. He went into the Army, where he became a medic. Jasper was a Free Mason and a member of the Eastern Star. He had many occupations, including working as a mechanic in Old Town, master mechanic at Forster Mfg. in Mattawamkeag, and a brief time at Great Northern Paper Co. He finished his working career as a millwright supervisor, building paper machines. Jasper got to realize his dream of having a horse ranch after his marriage to Karen. They rode with the Pine Tree Equestrian Search and Rescue out of Bangor. Jasper loved to hunt, fish and always planted a big garden.
He was predeceased by his parents and first wife, Jacqueline Leola Morse; a son, Gerald Faulkner; sisters, Lala, Marjorie, Maybelle, Esther Arlene and Ada; brothers, Leon, Ralph and Carroll; a grandson, Stephen Paul Chase. He is survived by his wife, Karen Faulkner, who "borrowed" him for 18 years; his children, Sumner Leon Faulkner and his wife Sherry, of Bangor, Elaine Faulkner Thurlow and husband, Mike, of Lee, Regina Faulkner Smith and husband Ernie, of Howland, Dwayne Jasper Faulkner, of Medway; step-children, Raelene Morrison and husband Bill, of Ocala, Maine Veterans Home in Bangor and the Colonial Healthcare in Lincolnfor the care that was given while he was a resident there. They also would like to thank Joan Stinson for the special relationship that she shared with him. Also, they would like to thank Penobscot Valley Hospital for their Comfort Care in Jasper’s final days.

Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Friday, June 20, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd., Lincoln. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, at Highland Cemetery, Carmel with Mike Thurlow officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory, may be made to Colonial Healthcare Assisted Living. Donations may be left at the funeral home.

EVERARD "BUD" FISH
HOLDEN- Everard "Bud" Fish, 79, died Oct. 3, 2007 at his home in Holden. He was born July 28, 1928 in Jonesport, the son of Everard and Hortensia (Gowey) Fish. Bud attended elementary schools in Jonesport. He graduated from Higgins Classical Institute, where he met his future wife, Winifred Keith. He earned his B.S. from Florida during retirement. He also enjoyed R Ving across the US and Canada, camping and playing golf. He was a member of the Holden Congregational Church.
He is survived by a son, Jeffrey Fish and wife Lynn of Edinburg; two grandchildren, Matthew Fish and Jodi Bartlett and her husband Brian and their two children Mackenzie and Tanner; and his very special cat, Jasmine.

At Bud's request there will be no services. Interment was at the Edinburgh Cemetery. Donations may be made to the John Norman Keith Memorial Scholarship Fund at Penobscot Valley High School in Howland in his memory. Donations may be left at the funeral home or sent to the High School. Arrangements are with Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln.

JOHN K. FLEMING
EAST MILLINOCKET- John K. Fleming, 45, died September 5, 2008 at a Millinocket hospital. He was born in Lincoln, December 31, 1962 the son of Kilby and Barbara (Smith) Fleming. John loved to hunt, fish, the outdoors, and spending quality time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Lori (Sheehan) Fleming of East Millinocket; his mother Barbara Fleming and her friend, Linwood Noyes; two sons, John Wesley Fleming of Veazie and Matthew Ryan Fleming of East Millinocket; a brother, Carroll Fleming; two sisters, Julie Cote and her significant other Jim Lyons of Bangor and Kim Stoddard and her husband Jim of Virginia Beach, VA; his mother and father in law, Dianne and Flicka Sheehan; sister in law, Wanda Aldrich; a brother in law, John Sheehan; and a very special uncle, Dusty Cramp.

Donations may be made to Community Health and Counseling Hospice or to the Katahdin Area Support Group. Services at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept 9, 2008, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln.

MARGUERITE LILA FLEMING
LINCOLN - Marguerite Lila Fleming, 78, passed away peacefully Sept. 12, 2007, at Colonial Health Care, Lincoln. She was born June 9, 1929, in Milo, the daughter of Harry and Hildred Buck. Marguerite was the first in her family of seven brothers and sisters to graduate from college with a degree in education from the University of Maine Retired Teachers Association and SAD 67 Teachers Association. She and her late husband, Paul, also served meals to seniors at Silver Spoons.
She is survived by her daughter, Cara Stillman and her fiance, Charles Matteliano; and grandsons, Max Rosenthal and Peter Stillman, all of Buffalo; her stepdaughter, Gloria Edwards and her husband, Alan, of Lincoln; grandson, Andrew Edwards and his wife, Abby, of Chester; grandson, William Edwards of Nahant, Mass.; great-granddaughter, Lillian Edwards of Chester; her stepson, David Steeves of Barefoot Bay, Fla.; siblings, James Buck of Gorham, Jarvis Buck of Clearwater, Fla., Thelma Robinson of Orem, Utah, Joyce Luciani of Bonita Springs, Fla., Marilyn Miller of Locust Grove, Va., and Elaine Lewis of Hampden.

Visitation for family and friends will be held noon-1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where a 1 p.m. funeral service will be held with the Rev. Darrell Joiner officiating. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a donation in Marguerite's memory to First Congregational Church, Lincoln.

PAUL LELAND FLEMING
LINCOLN– Paul Leland Fleming, 85, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully August 3, 2007 at a Lincoln Healthcare Facility. He was born in Chester, Georgia (Leland) Fleming. Paul was educated in the Chester school by his mother and graduated from Winn High School. He entered the Army in 1943 and served in Europe as a Technician Fourth Grade, Battery C 512th Antiaircraft Artillery Gun Battalion. He married Ruth Flanders on June 8, 1947. He was employed by W.H. Hinman Co., and also Bangor and Aroostook Railroad. On July 7, 1974, he married Marguerite Steeves. Paul served as a a school crossing guard and as janitor for the First Congregational Church in Lincoln. He also worked on Meals for ME. Paul was a lifelong member of Horeb Lodge # 93, AF & AM, a 60+ year member of American Legion Post #77, Avon D. Flanders Post #1438 VFW, Eastern Star Chapter #112, and a Deacon of the First Congregational Church of Lincoln.
Mr. Fleming is survived by his wife of 33 years, Marguerite Fleming; daughter, Gloria Edwards and husband Alan Edwards of Lincoln; grandsons, Andrew Edwards and wife Abby of Chester, William Edwards of Nahant, MA; great-granddaughter Lillian Elizabeth Edwards of Chester; stepdaughter, Cara Stillman and fiancé Charles Matelliano; and stepgrandsons, Max Rosenthal and Peter Stillman, all of Buffalo, NY. He was predeceased by his first wife of 25 years, Ruth Fleming, and his parents.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd., Lincoln, with a Masonic Service to be held at 7:30 Sunday evening. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, August 6, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Darrell Joiner officiating. A full military honors burial will be held in Lincoln Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish can donate in Paul’s memory to the First Congregational Church of Lincoln. Donations may be left at the funeral home.

WARREN E. FULLERTON, III
HOWLAND - Warren E. Fullerton, III, son of the late Warren E. Fullerton Jr. and the late Mabel (Milan) Fullerton passed away at his home after a courageous batttle with lung cancer on Thursday, November 6, 2007, at the age of 56. Warren is the beloved husband of Cori (Marshall) Fullerton and is also survived by four children: Joshua, Victoria. Danielle aod Warren E. Fullerton IV. He is the grandfather of little Owen Fullerton.
Warren was brother to Jo-Ann Maine, but worked in Thompson and her husband, Matthew, of Portland, Linda Green law and her husband, Brian, of Skowhegan and Ernest Coolong of Golden, Preston Michael and Gavin William.
Mike is also survived by his brothers and sister, Paul and Barbara Gerry, Linda Jordan, and Bill Gerry and Betty Jordan; Linda's siblings, Pauline Bowers, Barb and John Tremblay, Beverly and Darrell Spencer, Mary and Dick Pelkey, Joan and Bud Smith, Ralph and Gichie Bowers, Bonnie and Lee Reardon, his special "Maw", Marilyn Bowers, many cousins, nieces and nephews and good friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Bill and Edie, an infant sister, Constance Ann, his father-in-law, Linwood Bowers, Sr.,and brother-in-law, Linwood, Jr. - "Towser".

Visiting hours will be held 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, August 3 at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road in Lincoln. Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m. Monday, August 4 at the First Congregational Church, 19 School Street in Lincoln, with the Rev. Darrell Joiner officiating. Interment will be in Mt Repose Cemetery, Burlington. Mike wanted to be dressed in comfortable clothes for the funeral and we ask family and friends to feel free to do the same. Because of Mike's love of children, donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Jimmy Fund, c/o Dana Farber Cancer Institute; 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor; Brookline, MA 02445-7226; ATTN Contribution services.

FRANK GILLIS
When Frank Gillis went home to be with the Lord, he was surrounded by his family and friends at home, where he wanted to be. Frank was a WWII Army Veteran, and joined the Company C 55th Armored Infantry Battalion. In 1942 Frank served as a Radar Technician. In 1943 Frank was a member of the Battery "C" 247th Anti Aircraft Search and Light Battalion. Frank was also in the Battle of the Bulge. Frank received the European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon, the Victory Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the Purple Heart Medal, and the Expert Rifle Combat Infantryman Badge. Frank spent the last days of service in Rhineland and Ardennes Germany.
Frank was born in Howland, Florida and Georgia. They spent their summers at their beloved camp at East Grand Lake. Frank was also a member of the American Legion Association Post 45, and attended the Danforth Baptist Church faithfully for many years.

We want to extend a special thanks to Dr. Sussman of Houlton for all his service to Frank. Muriel would like to thank the girls who have made it possible for Frank and Muriel to stay in their home during his illness. We sincerely appreciate you.

Relatives and friends may call from 6-8 pm Tues, March 25, at the Clay Funeral Home- Bartlett Chapel, Houlton Road, Danforth. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 2 pm at the Danforth Baptist Church.
