Clinton White, 16, of Gladwin, died Friday, Oct. 1, 1999 at home. Born Feb. 13, 1983 in Midland, he was the son of Donald and Pamela (Staley) White. He attended Gladwin High School alternative ed, Cornerstone Baptist Church, Awana, and Sunday School. He loved to ride jet skis, motorcycles, and playing his guitar. Surviving are his parents, Donald and Pamela of Gladwin; two brothers, Chad and wife Nicole of Midland, and Brad and fiancee, Jessica Miller of Gladwin; his grandparents, Irvine White of Gladwin, and Marita Staley of Coleman; and several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bernard Staley, July 1994 and Lorraine White, September 1999. Services were held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Gladwin Cornerstone Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Alexander officiating. Burial was in Ridge Cemetery. Sisson Funeral Home, Gladwin, was in charge of the arrangements.

Ernest R. Gamache, 71, of Gladwin, died Friday, Oct. 1, 1999 at MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland, after a long illness. Born April 2, 1928 in Highland Park, Ill., he lived in Gladwin County since 1997 and previously lived in Commerce Township. Ernest married Catherine (Reaber), May 7, 1968 in Union Lake. He worked as an iron worker for Iron Worker local 25 in Novi, retiring in 1973. He was a merchant marine in World War II. Besides his wife he is survived by three sons, Richard of Wixom, Steve and wife Elaine of Clarkston, and Roy and wife Tamarra of Harrison; two daughters, Donna and husband Greg Wigner of Dundee, and Michelle and husband Brian Micknass of Gladwin; 17 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin and Beaverton, was in charge of the arrangements.

Frances Lorraine White, 84, of Gladwin, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 1999 at Health Source, Saginaw. She had been ill due to a stroke which occurred the previous March. Born March 26, 1915 in Ann Arbor, she was the daughter of Daniel and Mary (Vannest) Sackett. Frances married Irvine G. White, June 21, 1936 in Gladwin, after moving to her grandparents, Turner and Emma Vannest's home in Gladwin in 1933. For many years she wrote a column 'Along M-18' for The Gladwin County Record and Beaverton Clarion. She also taught sewing for the local 4-H chapter. Frances enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, and swimming at Sugar Springs. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Ken and wife Mona of Freeland, and Don and wife Pam of Gladwin; five sisters, Bernice Reznick, Virginia Brandt, Irene Jones, and Alva Ball, all of the Detroit area, and Carol Robinson of Temple, Ga; two sisters-in-law, Delores Sackett of Warren and Gail Sackett of Flint; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Eleanor Ludwig; and three brothers, Lewis, James, and Robert Sackett. A memorial service will be held today (Wednesday) at 1 p.m. at the Gladwin First United Methodist Church. Glen Warner, 83, of Coleman, died Sunday, Oct. 3, 1999 at home. He was born June 6, 1916 in Howard Co., Ind. He married Elizabeth A. Boruff, Oct. 7, 1935 in Kokomo, Ind. She preceded him in death April 21, 1984. He then married Evelyn A. Brown, Aug. 23, 1986, in Beaverton. He worked for The Dow Chemical Company, retiring in 1978 after 25 years of service. He was a member of the Warren Masonic Lodge 427 of Coleman. Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Glen Milton and wife Betty of Arizona, and Roger and wife Debbie of Beaverton; two daughters, Diana and husband Ron Evans of Beaverton, and Patsy and husband Tom Munger of Pennsylvania; one stepson, Charles and wife Gerry Brown of Coleman; one stepdaughter, Barbara and husband George Williams of St. Helen; one sister, Lillian Dearinger of Kokomo, Ind.; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Bee Bee. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at O'Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc. in Coleman with Rev. Duane Koontz officiating. Burial will be in Warren Township Cemetery in Coleman. Friends may call at the funeral home today (Wednesday) from 7 to 9 p.m.; tomorrow (Thursday) noon to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m.; and Friday at 10 a.m. There will be a Masonic service at 7 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday).

Hazel McIntosh, 91, of Beaverton, died Monday, Sept. 25, 1999 at the Gladwin Pines Nursing Home after a short illness. Born Nov. 16, 1907 in Cleveland, Ohio, she lived in Gladwin County five years and previously lived in Essexville. Hazel married Alexander McIntosh, Dec. 29, 1929 in Cleveland, Ohio. He preceded her in death in 1998. She was a homemaker. Surviving are one daughter, Carol and husband Charles Baxter of Beaverton; one sister, Virginia Baird of Elburn, Ill.; two granddaughters, Tracy Baxter of Chicago, Ill., and Tammy Baxter of Warren; one nephew, Tom Baird of Elburn, Ill.; and one niece, Kim Scalf of Parma, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Fairmount Memorial Park in Alliance, Ohio with Rev. Edward Harnish officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Memorial Park in Alliance, Ohio. Hall Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Lorna F. Tattersall, 82, of Rhinelander, Wis., and formerly of Gladwin, died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 1999 at St. Mary's Hospital. Born Nov. 2, 1916 in Ft. William, Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of James and Edith (Downs) Bayliff. She had been a resident of Gladwin for the past 20 years. Loran was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Surviving are one son, David and wife Margaret of Rhinelander, Wis.; one sister, Audrey Fry of Toronto, Canada; two grandchildren, Jason and Rebecca Tattersall; and one great-grandchild, Matthew. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Bertram in 1992. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 24 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Cedar Ave., Gladwin. Rebecca Jo Powell, 25, of Clare, died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 1999 at her home. Born July 2, 1974 in Alma, she was the daughter of Larry and Rose (Erskine) Wood. She was a life long resident of the Clare area and belonged to the Arthur Center Church of God. Surviving are her parents, Larry and Rose; two daughters, Garnett Skye and Alexia Cheyenne Rose; one sister, Diana K. and husband Alan Miller of Coleman; and a stepbrother, Jody and wife Lesilie Wood of Coleman. Services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Arthur Center Church of God with Rev. Henry List officiating. Burial was in the Arthur Township cemetery. Violet R. Adams, 87, of Gladwin, passed away Oct. 5 at the Lapeer Regional Hospital. She was born Oct. 12, 1911 in Sherman township to Norman and Ida Mae VanHorn Near. Violet married Mike Adams April 18, 1933 in Oberlin. Mike passed away Jan. 28, 1987. She has lived in Sherman Township all of her life. Surviving are three daughters, Joyce and husband Eldon Benmark of Clio, Alice Potter of Corunna, Marion and husband Jerry LaMotte of Grayling; one son, Richard Adams of Grayling; thirteen grandchildren; and twenty great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Charlie Near, one sister, Kurn Yeager and one grandson Rodney Benmark in 1991. Services were held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Sisson Funeral Home in Gladwin. Rev. Bryan Johnson officiated and burial was in the Skeels Cemetery.

Josephine Behnke, 96, of Essexville and formerly of Gladwin, passed away Sunday, Oct. 10, 1999 at the Bay Medical Care Facility. She was born Nov. 4, 1902 in Stuben, Austria to Carl and Elizabeth Schranz. Josephine married Jack Woltman in December of 1924 in Gladwin. He passed away in July of 1941. She then married Henry Behnke May 30, 1952 in Angola, Ind. They came to Gladwin in 1970 from Durand. He passed away in August of 1983. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Gladwin. Surviving are two sons, Jack and Richard Woltman both of Jackson; one daughter, Elizabeth Jones of Essexville; one stepson, James Behnke of Renton, Wash.; 17 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren and one sister, Bertha Lennon of Gladwin. Services were held Tuesday at Our Savior Lutheran Church with the Rev. Timothy Verity officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Sisson Funeral Home.

Timothy D. Clagg, 49, of Beaverton, died Oct. 7, 1999 at his home after a long illness. He was born Sept. 27, 1950 in Modesto, California. He married Sandra Sobb in Sacramento, California June 19, 1976. He was a veteran of the United States Army and the Vietnam War. He was a concrete finisher and retired in 1997 from Alta Construction in Mt. Pleasant. He is survived by his wife Sandra of Beaverton; two daughters, Christina and April both of Beaverton; a son Timothy Clagg Jr.; a grandson, Kaleb Clagg of Beaverton; two brothers, Rick Clagg of Las Vegas, NV and Bud and wife Joanne Clagg of Beaverton; two sisters, Linda and husband Randi Mittelbach of Beaverton and Judy Pelfrey of Gladwin; his mother, Cleta Clagg of Gladwin; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father James D. Clagg. Funeral Services were held Monday, Oct. 11 at the Hall Funeral Home in Beaverton with the Rev. Mark H. Moore officiating. Military Honors were performed at the grave side by VFW Post 7303. Memorial contributions will be used according to the family.

Robert C. Farrow, 55, of Gladwin, died Oct. 11, 1999 at home after a long illness. He was born March 12, 1944 in Gladwin. He married Audrey (Moriss) February 27, 1965 in Troy and was a life resident of the county. He was a carpenter and worked for R & R Construction in Gladwin. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Robert of Mt. Pleasant; a daughter, Cynthya M. and Curtis Walker of Gladwin; grandsons Justin and Nicklaus Walker of Gladwin; two sisters Donna and husband Ernest Kent of Standish and Lavel and husband William Smith of Gladwin; one niece and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 15 at 11 a.m. at the Hall Funeral Home in Gladwin with Pastor Tony Alexander officiating. Visitation is scheduled Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 12 to 9 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Highland Cemetery. Thomas M. Fullford, 63, of Gladwin, passed away Oct. 7 at Johns Hospital in Warren. He was born June 14, 1936 in Detroit to Edward and Theresa Kohn Fullford. He married Joyce Kraner April 6, 1963 in Mt. Clemens. Tom has lived in Gladwin most of his life. He was a member of F. O. E. 3292, American Legion Post 171 and the AmVets. Surviving are his wife Joyce; his children, James and wife, Heather Grant of Lapeer, Michael and wife Dawn Grant of Gladwin, Melody and husband James Derbin of Sterling Heights, Shannon Fullford of Grand Rapids and Thomas Fullford of Gladwin; four grandchildren; his mother in law Luella Kraner of Gladwin; a brother, Alan Fullford of Gladwin and his sister Suzanne Grawey of Lapeer. He was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Fullford. Services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Sisson Funeral Home. Rev. Deane Wyllys officiated and burial was in Highland Cemetery.

Myrtle "Ruth" Hundley, 78, of Gladwin, died Oct. 10, 1999 at the Gladwin Living Centre in Gladwin following a short illness. She was born July 22, 1921 in Gladwin and was a lifetime resident of the county. She married William Pyke January 14, 1940 in Gladwin. He preceded her in death in 1978. She later married Kenneth Hundley June 30, 1979 and he preceded her in death in 1995. She spent her life as a homemaker. She is survived by three daughters, Alice Grant of Gladwin, Laura and husband James Blades of Flint, and Virginia and husband Peter Bergeron of Midland; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Patty Powers of Gladwin, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 13, 1999 at 2 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home in Gladwin with Rev. Donald Potter officiating. Burial will take place in Highland Cemetery in Gladwin. Memorial contributions will be used according to the family.

Beatrice Lodema Krompetz, 91, of Gladwin, passed away Friday, Oct. 8 at the Gladwin Pines Nursing Home after a long illness. She was born April 8, 1908 in Hardin County, Ohio and she lived in Gladwin County since 1915. Lodema married Walter E. Krompetz in March 1949 in Clare. He died in February 1976. Surviving are one son Walter and wife Shirley Conner; two daughters, Ione and husband Verne Garver and Joan and husband Glenn Berry all of Gladwin; ten grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brother Holcombe Stevenson and grandson Eric Garver. Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday. Mark Sherfield and Jim Powell officiated and burial was in Midland Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Rochester College. Arrangements were handled by Sisson Funeral Home.

Virginia Middleton, 80, of Gladwin, died Oct. 9, 1999 at West Branch Regional Medical Center in West Branch. She was born in Gladwin June 16, 1919 to Frank Winter and Katrina Chatlin and she lived in Davison. She returned to the Gladwin area in 1954. She was married to Merle Middleton. She spent her life as a homemaker. She is survived by five sons, Kenneth of Mt. Morris, Kim of Reading, Mass., Kraig of Byron, Kevin and wife Chris of Alger, and Keith and wife Sandy of West Branch; three daughters, Katherine and husband Michael Raymond of West Branch, Kristie and husband Lynn Lechner of Gladwin, and Karen and husband Paul Hollenbeck of Lennon; and two sisters, Wilma Brasier of Flushing, and Bernadine Molaski of Gladwin. She was preceded in death by her husband Merle in 1989, two sisters, Irma Miller and Geraldine Winter and a brother, Robert Winter. The funeral is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, 1999 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch with Father Robert Bissot officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in West Branch. Arrangements were handled by Stuernol and McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch.

Timothy McNeil Mowat, 22, of Midland, died Monday, Oct. 4, 1999 at his home. Born May 28, 1977 in Midland, son of Timothy L. Mowat and Sandra L. (Cline) Maxwell. He was an honor student and graduated from Beaverton High School in 1995. He participated in the Summer Scholar Program for outstanding students. Tim was a member of Wesley Chapel where he sang in the choir and also helped to manage its softball team. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his brothers Benjamin Mowat, at home, and Allen Maxwell of Beaverton; sister Tina Keillor of Oxford; grandparents, Isabella Mowat of Evart, Leona Cline of Midland and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his grandfather Fredrick Mowat. He will be dearly missed by his brother Benjamin with whom he shared a special bond. Funeral service took place Thursday, Oct. 7, 1999 at the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Chapel, 1200 W. Robin J. (Anderson) Noel, 41, of Midland, passed away Oct. 7, 1999 at her residence following a brief illness. The daughter of Thomas and Lucille Stack of Beaverton and Donald Anderson of Gladwin was born April 8, 1958 in Clare. Robin was employed with the King's Daughters Home. Surviving are her husband Michael Noel; daughter April Hahn of Midland; sister Darlene Anderson of Midland; half sister Honey Anderson of Tawas City; and stepbrother Jeff Stack of Lakeview. She was preceded in death by her son Deni Hahn. Funeral Services took place Monday, Oct. 11 from the Wilson Miller Funeral Home. The Rev. David Stoot officiated. Interment was in the Midland City Cemetery.

Zanner L. Oakes, 80, of Gladwin, died Oct. 8, 1999 at the Gratiot Community Hospital in Alma following a long illness. Born August 20, 1919 in St. Paul, Virginia, she married Charles Oakes Aug. 13, 1998 in Gladwin. She was a homemaker. She had lived in Gladwin County since 1990 and previously lived in Detroit. She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Glenna Hess of Tucson, Ariz., Lois Mcdonald of Detroit; and Norma and husband Gary Stern of Rochester Hills; two sons, Anthony and wife Doreen Smith of Caseville and Douglas Smith of Mt. Pleasant; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; three sisters, Billie Card of North Carolina, Helen Watson of Cayce, South Carolina and Muriel Gilbert of Detroit; one brother, Gary Fraley of St. Paul, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Smith. Funeral services were held Tuesday Oct. 12 at 11 a.m. at the Hall Funeral Home in Gladwin with the Rev. Donald Potter officiating. She was buried in Highland Cemetery.

DR. G. WAYNE OGLESTONE DDS MS, 85, of Venice, Florida died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 1999 in the Bon Secours Venice Hospital. He was born Dec. 16, 1913 in Gladwin and moved to Venice in 1975 from Saginaw, Michigan. He was a graduate of Bay City Jr. College and the University of Michigan Dental School where he received his D.D.S. and M.S. of Orthodontics. Dr. Oglestone was an orthodontist in private practice for thirty-eight years in Saginaw, Michigan. He was founder of the Cleft Palate Clinic in Saginaw and lifetime member of the Saginaw Country Club. He served as a U. S. Naval Officer during WWII. He was past president of Saginaw County Dental Society, lifetime member of Saginaw Valley Dental Society, the Michigan Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists. He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Wilhelmina K. 'Billie' Oglestone of Venice; two daughters, Judie Anne Leddy of Venice and Bonnie K. Markle of Sanford; one granddaughter, Kelly Turgeon and three great grandchildren Michael, Mitchell and Haley of Ontario, Canada. Memorial services were held Oct. 9, 1999 in Venice. Farley Funeral Home - Venice Chapel in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice.

Luther D. Moomaw Sr., 99, of Gladwin, died Sunday, Oct. 24, at Hillside Acres Nursing Home in WIllard, Ohio after a long illness. Born Sept. 28, 1900 in Orkney Springs, Va., he lived in Gladwin County since 1965 and previously lived in Attica, Ohio. Luther married Clara (Zimmer) Oct. 1, 1955 in Gladwin. She preceded him in death in 1998. He was previously married to Pearl M. (Bogart), who preceded him in death in 1980. He was a track man for the B.O. Railroad in Willard, Ohio, retiring in 1965 after 47 years. Surviving are one daughter, Eunice and husband Donald Heisler of Brooksville, Fla.; one son, Luther Jr. and wife Darlene of Willard, Ohio; three stepdaughters, Armeda Cameron of Gladwin, Susan and husband William Kroll of Beaverton, and Lucille and husband Woodward Windover of Midland; one stepdaughter-in-law, Rose Steele of Beaverton; one stepson, Floyd and wife Doris Steele of Midland; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Margaret Moomaw of Attica, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Dolores Ayres in 1980; a granddaughter, Clara Lynn Heisler; a son-in-law, Weldon Ayres in 1980; three brothers; and two sisters. Services will be held today (Wednesday) at 1 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home in Gladwin. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Gladwin.

Julia A. Poltorak, 91, died in quiet peace, Friday, Oct. 22, 1999 at Gladwin Living Centre in Gladwin. Born Jan. 21, 1908 in Iswich, Mass., she was the daughter of Frank and Sophia Gontarz. She married Joseph A. Poltorak, March 18, 1928 in Detroit. On her first birthday, Julia moved to Poland and later, during World War I she was caught in the middle of heavy fighting and artillery barrages. Due to the wars destruction of schools, she did not have any formal education, but taught herself to read and write in Polish. She returned to the United States when she was 16 years old, to teach herself to speak and read English. During her first three years in the states, she worked in cigar factories in Detroit. Then in the middle of the depression, she began her family. When they lost their house, the Poltorak family moved to Gladwin County to start a small farm. In 1950, she moved to Auburn to start and share in building a successful business with her husband. After the destruction of Poland in World War II, Julia, over a period of years, helped her relatives in Poland to survive by sending approximately 250 packages of needed medicines and clothing. Mother spoke often with much fondness of her childhood in Poland. She and her husband made many trips to Poland to visit relatives and friends. On one trip, she took grandchildren with her to Poland, and pointed out still visible remnants of artillery explosions from World War I, that surrounded a fruit cellar where she and grandmother huddled in fear, with fighting all around. Mother, grandmother and wife are very much missed, but will never be forgotten. Besides her husband she is survived by two sons, Gerald and Sylvester Poltorak; nine grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sisters. Services were held Tuesday at Sisson Funeral Home, Gladwin. Burial took place at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Gladwin.

James F. Nemeth, 80, of Gladwin, died Sunday, Oct. 17, 1999 at Angela Hospice in Livonia of pancreatic cancer. Born Sept. 3, 1919 in Detroit, he was the son of Frank and Eva Molnar Nemeth. He lived in Gladwin County 33 years and previously lived in Dearborn. He was a mason contractor in Gladwin County. He was also a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army. Surviving are one brother, Al Nemeth; and numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and the scattering of his ashes will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at his home at Blue Lake Dr., Gladwin. Joseph South West, 93, of Beaverton, died Sunday, Oct. 17, 1999 at Gladwin Living Centre in Gladwin after a short illness. Born June 9, 1906 in Mannington, W. V., he lived in Gladwin County since 9137 and previously lived in West Virginia. Joseph married Agnes (Hansen) April 28, 1928 in Kermit, Texas. She preceded him in death March 6, 1992. He worked in the oil fields for 13 years. Then he worked for The Dow Chemical Company in Midland, retiring in 1965 after 15 years. After retirement, Joe enjoyed working on his farm. Surviving are one sister, Virginia Easter Lambiotte of Fairmont, W. V.; one nephew, Gene 'Bud' and wife Wanda West of Beaverton; one daughter-in-law, Barbara West of Midland; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a very good friend, Mildred Stringfield of Beaverton. He was preceded in death by one son, Jack in 1995; three brothers, James North, John A., and Anglum P.; three sisters, Mazella Jean West, Sarah Elizebeth Morgan, and Mary Lenore Summers. Serviced will be held today (Wednesday) at 11 a.m. at the Hall Funeral Home in Beaverton with Rev. Paul Murphrey officiating. Burial will be in Tobacco Township (Dale) Cemetery in Beaverton.

Bobbi (Anne Maarie Langford) Klein, of Beaverton, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 1999 at home after a long illness. She was born May 5, 1951 in Saginaw to Henry and Marion Ann Langford. She came to live in Gladwin County with her mother in November 1990 due to illness. She is survived by her parents Marion Ann and James Lattimore of Southfield; her sister Mr. and Mrs. Larry (Jill) Henderson of Medical Lake, Wash.; her bestfriend Deanna Foy of Beaverton; Mr. and Mrs. Craig (Vivian) Dassay; the joys of her heart, Loren Michael, Marena Rose and Sara Jane Jane Dassay of Wagarville. She was preceded in death by her biological father Henry Langford in 1975 and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry (Altha Cronk) Klein of Gladwin. Arrangements were in the charge of Hall Funeral Home of Gladwin. Memorial donations can be made to the American Heart Association or the Muscular Dystrophy Association. There was a private internment.

Luther D. Moomaw Sr., 99, of Gladwin, died Sunday, Oct. 24, at Hillside Acres Nursing Home in WIllard, Ohio after a long illness. Born Sept. 28, 1900 in Orkney Springs, Va., he lived in Gladwin County since 1965 and previously lived in Attica, Ohio. Luther married Clara (Zimmer) Oct. 1, 1955 in Gladwin. She preceded him in death in 1998. He was previously married to Pearl M. (Bogart), who preceded him in death in 1980. He was a track man for the B.O. Railroad in Willard, Ohio, retiring in 1965 after 47 years. Surviving are one daughter, Eunice and husband Donald Heisler of Brooksville, Fla.; one son, Luther Jr. and wife Darlene of Willard, Ohio; three stepdaughters, Armeda Cameron of Gladwin, Susan and husband William Kroll of Beaverton, and Lucille and husband Woodward Windover of Midland; one stepdaughter-in-law, Rose Steele of Beaverton; one stepson, Floyd and wife Doris Steele of Midland; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Margaret Moomaw of Attica, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Dolores Ayres in 1980; a granddaughter, Clara Lynn Heisler; a son-in-law, Weldon Ayres in 1980; three brothers; and two sisters. Services will be held today (Wednesday) at 1 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home in Gladwin. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Gladwin.

Eva J. Hager, 63, of Beaverton, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 1999 at MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland after a short illness. Born Oct. 15, 1936 in Gladwin, she was a lifetime resident of Gladwin County. She was a homemaker. Surviving are her mother, Anna Appelget of Black Diamond, Wash., and one brother, Larry L. Hager of Black Diamond, Wash. She was preceded in death by her father, Russell G. Hager, Sept. 2, 1982. Services will be held at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Ridge Cemetery, Gladwin, with Rev. Paul Klassen officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery in Gladwin. Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
