He later married Betty L. Roberts on February 12, 1960 in Flint. Roy served his country honorably in the US Army during the Korean War. He retired from GM in 1979, and was a member of UAW 559. He was also a member of the Columbiaville United Methodist Church , Columbiaville Sportsman’s Club, Flint Finman Skin Diving Club, and CMU Boat Racing Organization. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. ( Munson ) Goldorf. He was a carpenter working in Salt Lake City area for the past 10 years. Martindale, Gerald E., Age 56 of Fostoria died May 19, 2003 in Cadillac. Mr. Martindale was born May 22, 1946 in Petoskey, MI. The son of the late Fred and Ella Martindale ( Echo ). He later married Betty L. Leach on April 15, 1972 in North Branch. Mr. Martindale served his country honorably in US Army during Vietnam. He was avid outdoorsman that enjoyed fishing and boating. He also worked on cars and watched NASCAR races on Sundays. Most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Gerald retired from Buick in 2000 after 34 years, and was a member of UAW Local # 599. Lawter, Samuel Dewey, age 98 of Columbiaville died May 15, 2003 at his son’s residence. Mr. Lawter was born March 10, 1905 in Cooley Springs, SC. The son of the late Samuel S. and Minnie Lawter ( Hogan ). He graduated from Fruitland Institute in NC., where he met his future wife Lucille Stewart. They married on April 24, 1927 in New Prospect, SC., and enjoyed 71 years together before she preceded him in death in 1998. He moved to Columbiaville in 1981 from Inman, SC where he and Lucille made there home for 54 years. He was employed at Inman Mills as the Master Mechanic, retiring in 1977,and was active in the Inman Mills Baptist Church. He served as Worshipful Master of Masonic Lodge # 201 and Worthy Patron for Eastern Star. He latter married Margaret Kennedy in North Branch, MI in 1947. Donald retired from Fischer Body 1982 and enjoyed gardening and working on lawn mowers. He also enjoyed attending the Elba Jamboree and spending time with his family up north at the cabin. He was a member of UAW Local # 1292. Donald was honorably discharged after serving in the US Navy on the USS Nashville during WWII. He later married Theresa Bauer in New Haven, MI on September 2, 1953. Orson was truck driver for over 25 years and served his country honorably in the US Air Corps. He was also an avid fisherman and relished the chance to work around his yard, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He survived by his loving wife: Theresa Bauer-Hart, Son: William ( Mari ) Hart of South Carolina, Daughters: Alice ( Brock ) Graves of Colorado, Ruth Ann Zelenko of Davison, Nancy ( Rick ) Rhan of Virginia, Sandy ( Ed ) McDonald of Lansing, Marilyn ( Marve ) Laveer of Avoca, and Kay ( Rich ) Kendall of Port Huron. He is also survived by his dear sister Ethel Rich of Port Huron and 7 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. Funeral service Monday at 2:00 PM from Jansen Family Funeral Home - Columbiaville. Delores M. Hunt, Age 70, of Columbiaville died November 27, 2002 in Ruskin, FL. She was born January 21, 1932 in Columbiaville. The daughter of the late Clarence and Adelia ( Morrison ) Baker. She later married Charles M. Hunt in Lapeer on December 4, 1948. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards with her Euchre group for over 40 years. Delores also loved hummingbirds, flowers, and spending time with family, friends, and most of all her grandchildren. She was a member of the Lapeer FOE 2477 and Ruskin Moose Lodge 1718. Delores is survived by her loving husband Charles, sons: Bryan ( Susan ) Hunt of IN, Rick ( Rhonda ) Hunt of PA., daughter: Vicky Poe of Columbiaville, brothers: Ronald ( Patricia ) Baker of Columbiaville, Elwyn ( Elizabeth ) Baker of Lapeer, Dave Baker of GA, sisters: Marcia Tobias of Davison, and Linda Reynolds of Lapeer. Dearest grandmother of Alexis, Zachary, Eric, Lori, Samantha, Veronica, and Stephanie. She was preceded in death by her brother Gerald.
