Harriett Louise Knickerbocker
Of Harrison, formerly of Mt. Morris age 81 died Thursday March 1, 2001 at her home. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday March 5, 2001 from Mt. Morris Community Church, Center Road South of Mt. Morris Rd. Pastor Anthony Alexander officiating Burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the Miles Martin Funeral Home 6-9pm Saturday and 12 -9pm Sunday. Memorials may be directed to the Mt. Morris Community Church in her memory. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Monday she will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00 am until time of services at 11:00 am. She was born October 2, 1919 in Mayville the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde and Julia (Walker) Harmon. She graduated from Beecher High School class of 1937. She and Bruce G. Knickerbocker of Mt. Morris were married April 1938. She and Bruce are charter members of Mt. Morris Community Church. She is survived by her husband of nearly 63 years, Bruce; 4 sons: Jerry and wife Arlene Knickerbocker of Davison; Dennis and wife Connie Knickerbocker of Haslett; Lynn and wife Barbara Knickerbocker of Flint; Steven and wife Debbie Knickerbocker of Millington; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her 4 sisters and 1 brother.
William Kentish
Formerly of Mt. Morris, Age 84 died in Zephyrhills, Fla. Saturday February 24, 2001. Funeral Service will take place 11:00 a.m. Thur. March 1, 2001 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home, Pastor RichardCook officiating with burial in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 4-9 p.m. Wednesday . Memorial Contributions may be directed to Hospice William was born May 10, 1916 in Port Edward, Ontario. the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas and Ruby Lillian (Sullivan) Kentish. He married Violet Azelton on August 1, 1936. She preceded him in death in 1990. Prior to his retirement he had been a machine operator with Buick Motor Co. for 36 years. He was a member of Mt. Morris Masonic Lodge #535 F & AM. He is survived by 1 daughter and 2 sons: Shirley and Del Berry of Mt. Morris; William and wife Lisa Kentish of Fenton; David Kentish of Mt. Morris; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; Sister: Laura Bigelow of Genesee, Mississippi the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Willie and Mattie (Henderson) Leatherwood. He and Mary Elizabeth Maxum were united in marrriage1951 in Weiner, Arkansas. He served in the Army of the US 1944-1946 in the United States, Korea, and Okinawa. He was a member of the Millington American Legion Post #0164 since 1985. Walter retired in 1991 as a pipefitter after 37 years at General Motors and AC. Surviving are: wife Mary Elizabeth Leatherwood; Daughter: Patricia Leatherwood; Son: W. Dennis Leatherwood; 3 grandchildren: Daniel Robert Popham Jr.; Timothy Edwin Popham; Rebeckah Maye Popham; 4 sisters: Lee Hamilton; Carrie & Buford Lancaster; Mary & Fletcher Cook; Ida & J.R. Lancaster; 3 brothers: James & Stacey Leatherwood; Marcus & Martha Leatherwood; Richard Leatherwood; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by daughter Brenda Kay December 31, 1980; and 2 brothers, Thomas in Normandy, France during WWII and Paul in 1996, Brother in law Woody Hamilton.

Age 75 of Genesee Twp. , died Wednesday February 21, 2001 at Genesys Hospice Center in Goodrich. Funeral Service will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris, Rev. Fr. Ray Urbanek will officiate with burial in Flint Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Miles Martin Funeral Home 6-9 Thur. 9-9 Friday. Parish and family will gather at the funeral home at 7:15 p.m. Friday to pray the Rosary. Saturday morning family and friends will gather at the funeral home for prayers at 10:30 a. m. and then proceed to church for Holy Mass at 11:00 a.m. Memorial Contributions may be directed to Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich. Luella was born May 11, 1925 in Hancock, Washington and Shirley California; brother-in-law, Andrew and wife Dorothy Holevar of Warren; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Zimmerman of East Pointe, Mich. Joanne and husband Charles Losey of Troy. Preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jack Rundle in WWII.
Pearl Elizabeth Hritz
Of Mt. Morris, age 84, died Thursday, February 22, 2001 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will take place 1:00 pm Saturday, February 24, 2001 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Mt. Morris with Rev. Fr. Raymond Urbanek officiating. Burial at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Family will be present to receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home 3-9pm Friday and 11 am - 12:30 on Saturday, at which time family and friends will gather for prayers and then proceed to church for Funeral Mass at 1:00 pm. There will be a Rosary at the funeral home 7:45pm Friday. Those desiring, may consider memorial contributions to the American Lung Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and at Church. Pearl was born September 26, 1916 in Clio, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred and Grace (Knowles) Neeley. She and Thomas Hritz were united in marriage June 18, 1946 in Flint. She was a member of Auto City Eagles REAC, American Legion Post # 64 Auxiliary, Pearl had been a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Mt. Morris since 1980 and a member of the St. Mary's Seniors. She retired in 1976 from the Service Center for Visually Impaired. Surviving are, husband, Thomas; son, Jeffrey and wife Patricia Hritz of Jackson; granddaughter, Amy Lynne and husband David Zyski of Woodville, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Patrick and Lucretia Retta (Murphy) Enos. He married Loretta Lucille Campbell on August 6, 1949 in Gilford. He was a farmer and worked for Eaton Foundry where he retired after 28 years. Keith worked for the Akron-Fairgrove Schools for the last 6 years, retiring in June 2000. He loved being up north at "the cabin." He loved sharing coffee with friends at the "Big O." Surviving are: daughter, Mary Enos; 3 sons and their wives, Patrick and Bev Enos, Michael and Cindy Enos, Allen and Patsy Enos; 6 granddaughters, Jodi and husband Greg Smale, Summer Enos, Tamra Sweatland, Kyra Enos, Kelly and Lacey Budry; 4 Grandsons, Tim and wife Dynielle Enos, Doug and wife Barb Enos, Christopher Sweatland, Kyle Enos; 2 great-grandchildren, Anthony Hellebuyck and Alyssa Smale(Great Grandpa, Little Bummer). Keith was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers. Memorial services will take place at 11:00am, Thursday, February 22, 2001 from the Martin Funeral Home-Clark Chapel-Fairgrove. Mr. Vernon Lawrence officiating. Family will be present at the funeral home on Thursday from 9am until the time of services at 11am. Cremation will have taken place.
