The navy department announces that Pharmacist's Mate Raymond 
Henry of Philadelphia attached to the marine corps in France, 
is missing in action and Pharmacist's Mate Claude Mattingly 
of Lagrange, Tex., also assigned with the marines, has been 
severely wounded in action.

The department also announced that Seaman Charles Augustus 
Portner fell overboard from the U. S. S. Benham July 22 and 
still is missing.
