John Warren Erickson
April 1, 1911 -January 28, 2000
J.W. clung tenaciously to life until grace brought him peace on Friday, January 28, 2000. Simply, with pride and dignity intact, and family gathered at home, J.W. slipped peacefully through the misty vail and into our memories.
Some will remember Dad as a tiller of the soil, a dairy man, a loyal friend. Others will remember the musical spirit he nourished or his ever-present wry wit. I loved his no-nonsense wisdom, a particular one was “it’s not what you learn, it’s what you remember.” Always the dreamer, J.W. was driven by his dreams and was blessed with longevity because of them.
