Philip A. Christenson
Philip A. Christenson, a resident of Eagan, MN, died May 7, 1999, at the age of 91 years.
Funeral services were held May 12 at the Eagan Evangelical Covenant Church with burial at the Hillside Cemetery.
Philip was born April 7, 1908, in St. Francis, MN. At five years of age he moved with his parents to Randall, MN, where he resided until 1941. He moved to Minneapolis where he spent the remainder of his life.
Survivors include his wife, Kay; son, Paul and granddaughter Britni; brothers Leslie and Richard of Little Falls, MN.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Linnea.

Richard Weidenbach
Richard Weidenbach, age 73, a resident of Sun City, AZ, died May 14, 1999, in Sun City.
Funeral services were held in Seattle, WA, on May 21. Burial was in the National Veterans Cemetery in Seattle.
Richard was born on January 25, 1926, to John and Antonia (Gross) Weidenbach in Little Falls, MN. He attended school in Freedhem and Little Falls. Richard entered the United States Navy during World War II and was honorably discharged in 1946. Richard was united in marriage to Betty Oberton on October 19, 1949, in St. Paul, MN. They moved to Seattle and Richard worked for Boeing Aircraft until his retirement in 1989. They moved to Sun City,two years ago.
Survivors include his wife Betty; sons, Rick and wife Susan, Wayne and wife Nancy, Steve and wife Cheryl; grandchildren, Melonie, Steven, Leslie, Brent, Kris and Jamie, all of Seattle; brothers, Leo Weidenbach of Inver Grove Heights, MN, Clarence of Little Falls, Bill of Seattle; sisters, Irene Knight of Minneapolis,and Jean Miller of Nampa, ID; and many nieces and nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, John and Antonia Weidenbach; brother Alfred Weidenbach and sisters Elvera Bahns of Pierz, MN and MarieMcGouirk of East Point, GA.

Cresence Yatckoske
Cresence Yatckoske, age 94, of the Foley Nursing Center, Foley, MN, died May 16, 1999, at the Center.
Funeral services were held May 19 at Ronneby Road Christian Church, Ronneby, MN, with the Rev. Carl Reed officiating. Burial was in the Lone Pine Cemetery in Morrill, MN.
Cresence was born August 17, 1904, in Pierz, MN, to Joseph and Frances (Meyer) Dahmen. She married Orvin Yatckoske April 22, 1924, in Little Falls, MN. The couple had lived and farmed in Morrill Township since 1932. She had lived at the Foley Nursing Center since 1996. She was a member of the Ronneby Road Christian Church in Ronneby. She was loved by many and was a devoted Christian.
Survivors include her sons and daughters, Irene Ogg Wiens of Anoka, MN, Melvin and Marie of St. Paul, MN, Erland of Pierz, MN, Dolores and Chuck Chakmakian of Allentown, PA, Roland and Barbara of St. Louis Park, MN, and Orvin, Jr., and Mary Lou of Blaine, MN; sister and brother, Agnes Malloy of Dearborn, MI,
and Michael Dahmen of Pierz; 22 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orvin on January 30, 1978 and nine brothers and sisters.

Angeline Dembouski
Angeline M. Dembouski, age 93, a resident of St. Paul, MN, died May 15, 1999, at St. John’s Hospital in Maplewood, MN.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held May 18 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Harding, MN, with Father Roger Thoennes officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
Angeline was born in Morrison County on May 30, 1905, to Frank and Antonia (Halicki) Froncak. In 1918 the family moved to Waite Park, MN, where her father worked at the railroad car shops. In 1924 she moved to St. Paul, and worked for a clothing manufacturer until her family moved back to the Harding area. After her father was injured, she helped on the farm. She married William J. Dembouski November 28, 1929, and they both worked the farm. William took up the carpenter trade, and in 1945 they bought a farm near Backus, MN. After the barn they built burned down, Bill went back to construction work in 1955, and they relocated to St. Paul. Angeline began working for Cohn-Feldman clothing manufacturing as a power machine operator. While she was employed, she was ashop steward for the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America, andretired from there in 1977. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Altar & Rosary Society, and belonged to St. Pascal’s Parish from 1974 to the present.
Survivors include five sons, Andrew J. of Hackensack, MN, Eugene P. and wife Joan of Woodbury, MN, Richard D. of St. Paul, Raymond M. and wife Dawn of Mankato, MN, and Stanley T. and wife Sarah of LaGrange, IL; four daughters, Stella L. Czeczok and husband Joseph of Brainerd, MN.,Virginia R. Tostenson-Davis and husband Roy, and Constance A. VanBlaricom and husband Charles, all of Backus and Carol T. Drury and husband Gerald of South St. Paul; one brother, Frank Froncak of Harding; four sisters, Sr. M. DePaul with the Order of St. Benedict of St. Cloud, MN, Julia Nalipinski of St. Paul, Leone Christ of Oconomowoc, WI, and Magdalen Mlot of Milwaukee, WI; 30 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; her daughter, Mary M. Ziolkowski; three grandchildren; two sisters, Stella Needham and Sr. M. Francene of the Order of St. Benedict and two infant brothers.

Dennis A. Reese
Dennis A. Reese, age 47, a resident of Rice, MN, died May 19, 1999, at Country Manor in Sartell, MN. There was no funeral service.
Dennis A. Reese was born on January 19, 1952, in Morris, MN, to the late Warren and Mary Lou (Haley) Reese. He lived in Morris, MN, Freedhem, MN and Rice. He graduated from Little Falls High School in 1970. He was employed at the creameries in Freedhem and Rice and at Tri-City Paving in Little Falls. Due to his failing health, he became a resident of the Country Manor in Sartell on May 14, 1999, where he resided at the time of his death.
Survivors include his sisters, Judy Reeseof Rice, Joan Williams and husband Ray of Randall, MN, Barbara Seelen of Little Falls, MN, and Nancy Jerde and husband Ron of Rice; and eight nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Mary Lou (Haley) Reese; and brothers, David Reese and Richard Reese.

Constance Beack
Constance “Connie” Beack, age 69, a resident of Hillman, MN, died May 20, 1999, at her home after a long battle with cancer.
Funeral services were May 24 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Ramey, MN, with the Rev. John Ramsbacher officiating. Burial was in the Lone Pine Cemetery in Morrill, MN.
Connie Beack was born September 30, 1929, in Rice, MN, to Henry and Florence (Dalton) Rickhoff. She married Art Beack, October 11, 1952, at Bethany Lutheran Church, Ramey. The couple had lived and farmed all of their lives in Morrill Township, rural Morrison County. She had cooked for weddings and anniversaries for over 30 years. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Ramey.
Survivors include her husband Art; son and daughter, Ron and Donette of Hillman, Linda and Rich of Buckman, MN, brothers and sisters, Don of Lindstrom, MN, Cliff of Aitkin, MN, Henry Jr., of Anoka, MN, Betty Ponder of Blaine, MN, Lavonne Bishop, Fairmont, MN; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Pallbearers were Jeremy Beack, Gary Beack, Chad Pohlkamp, Todd Pohlkamp, Troy Popp, and Jim Brown.

Waldo Frisk
Waldo Frisk, age 71, a resident of Motley, MN, died May 21, 1999, at the Greater Staples Care Center.
Funeral services were held May 25, in the Staples Assembly of God Church, with Reverend Roy Miles officiating. Burial followed in the Motley Public Cemetery.
Waldo Clarence Frisk was born on September 26, 1927, in Swanville, MN, to Clarence and Helen (Johnson) Frisk. He grew up and attended school in Motley. On May 18, 1951, he married Carol Thomson. Later that month he entered the military where he served in the Korean War. Upon his return to central Minnesota, he went to work for the Burlington Northern Railroad, where he worked for 30 years as a switchman. Throughout his working years he maintained an interest in farming, still raising some cattle until the time of his death. Following his retirement in 1987, he worked for the local Sales Barn. He was a member of the Staples Assembly of God Church and the Tri-County American Legion. He served on the Motley Fire Department from 1954 to 1984, and he volunteered as a Firearms Safety Instructor from 1956 until his death.
Survivors include his wife Carol; a son Brad Frisk of Pillager, MN; a daughter Brenda Collins of Brainerd, MN; a sister, Doris Cole of Motley; his brother, Don Frisk of Motley; and three grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Doug.

Jeffrey Keehr
Jeffrey Keehr, age 43, a resident of Sauk Rapids, MN, died May 21, 1999,at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, MN.
Funeral services were May 25 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sauk Rapids, MN, with Rev. Paul Cloeter officiating at the service and entombment will be in the Hilltop Mausoleum, Sauk Rapids.
Jeffery J. Keehr was born September 5, 1955, in St. Cloud to Lee A. and Dorothy (Boser) Keehr. He married Nancy Golembeski on April 19, 1975, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sauk Rapids. Jeff worked as a maintenance manager at X-Cel Optical Company in Sauk Rapids for 25 years. He hadbeen an active member of the Sauk Rapids Volunteer Fire Department since October of 1982. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sauk Rapids.
Survivors include his wife Nancy of Sauk Rapids; children and son-in-law Karen and Gary Ludwig, Katie and Tom all of Sauk Rapids; father Lee of Pierz, MN; mother Dorothy of Sauk Rapids; sisters, brother and their spouses, Shirley and David Roberts of Waconia, MN, Suzanne Keehr of Sauk Rapids, Allen and Jean Keehr of St. Cloud; and one granddaughter, Lexis Ludwig.

John Popp, Sr.
John Popp, Sr., age 87, a resident of Rice, MN, passed away at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, MN.
Funeral services were held May 24 at Annunciation Catholic Church in Mayhew Lake with Rev. Francis Britz officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
John was born January 28, 1912, in Graham Township to Frank and Elizabeth (Keller) Popp. He married Luella Kubat on October 3, 1939, in Brennyville, MN. They lived and farmed in Little Rock until 1946, then moved to Rice where they farmed until 1970. He worked construction for 12 years at Lyle Huston Construction and Repair Company. He also worked at Green Thum for several years. He was a member of Annuncia-tion Catholic Church, St. Joseph’s Mission Group, Rice Senior Citizens, and was a former member of the Rice Sportsman’s Club.
He is father and father-in-law to Kenneth Popp of Royalton, MN,Ronald and Debbie Popp of Pierz, MN, Gary and Audrey Popp of Sauk Rapids, MN, Jonie Klitzke and her companion Dave Jutz of St. Cloud, Karen and Roger Wolbeck of Rice, Terry Popp of Rice, Mary Jo and Gary Hagerman of Dewitt, MI, and John Jr. and Patty Popp of Rice; sisters, Helen Kubic of Minneapolis, Bernice Voller of Phoenix, AZ; 20 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Luella on February 22, 1969; brothers, Anthony, Julius, Claudie, Peter, Clarence, Louis, and Leo; sisters, Irene Pekarek and Teck McGraw; an infant granddaughter, Brenda Lee Popp; and daughter-in-law, Marge Popp.
