Alice C. Feerer
1908-1998
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- Alice C. "Bitsy" (Enright) Feerer, 90, Overland Park, formerly of St. Joseph, died Thursday, Dec. 3, 1998, at a health-care center in Overland Park.
Born in St. Joseph on Nov. 2, 1908, Mrs. Feerer resided in Mission Hills for 30 years before moving to Overland Park five years ago.
She was a graduate of the former Convent of the Sacred Heart in St. Joseph. Mrs. Feerer was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Prairie Village, Kan.; Crittenton and auxiliary to the Kansas City Rotary Club No. 13.
On May 13, 1937, she married Donald F. Feerer in St. Joseph. He survives in Overland Park.
Mrs. Feerer was preceded in death by her parents, Edward A. and Celia J. Enright.
Additional survivors: three sons, Michael, Elmhurst, Ill., Donald, Winnetka, Calif., and Timothy, Houston, Texas; a daughter, Jane Deyoe, Trumbull, Conn.; and six grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. Monday, St. Ann's Catholic Church, Prairie Village. Burial: Round Mound Cemetery, Cummings, Kan. Family visitation: 9:30 a.m. Monday at the church. Arrangements: O'Trimble Funeral Home, Nortonville, Kan. Memorials may be made to Crittenton.

Ina R. Gervais
1900-1998
CAMERON, Mo. -- Ina Ruth (Kleinprintz) Gervais, 98, Cameron, died Thursday, Dec. 3, 1998, at the Liberty, Mo., hospital.
Mrs. Gervais was a teacher, and also worked in the cafeteria of William Jewell College at Liberty and at National Bellas Hess in Kansas City.
Born in Sandwich, Ill., on Aug. 2, 1900, she lived in Liberty before moving to Cameron 12 years ago. She was a member of St. Munchin's Catholic Church in Cameron.
On June 5, 1923, she married Harold Gervais in Marinette, Wis. He died in 1987.
Mrs. Gervais also was preceded in death by her parents, Val and Edith Kleinprintz; a brother, Ernest Kleinprintz; and a sister, Caroline Chevalier.
Surviving: a son, Bud, Cameron; a sister, Mabel Kamin, Marinette; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Service: Tuesday with time and location pending. Burial: Forrest Home Cemetery, Marinette. Family visitation: 7 to 8 tonight at the Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron. Also arrangements: Thielen Funeral Home, Marinette.

Roy O. Guy Jr.
1916-1998
Roy O. Guy Jr., 82, St. Joseph, died Friday, Dec. 4, 1998, at a St. Joseph health-care center.
For 54 years, Mr. Guy was a master plumber with Gorden Plumbing. He also was a music teacher instructing string instruments, and at one time, had three shows a day on the radio where he sang and played various instruments.
Born in St. Joseph on Oct. 2, 1916, he was a lifelong resident of St. Joseph. He served in the Army during World War II.
Mr. Guy attended the Copeland Baptist Church; and was a member of Charity Lodge No. 331, A.F.&A.M.; 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason; Moila Shrine Temple; Eagles Lodge No. 49 and Moose Lodge No. 315. He also was active in Boy Scouts of America.
On Feb. 8, 1941, he married Mary V. Gorden. She died in 1978.
Mr. Guy also was preceded in death by a son, John L.; his parents, Roy O. Sr. and Anna R.; three sisters, Margaret Groenke, Ruth Smith and Anna Morris; and two brothers, Frank and William.
Surviving: a daughter, Joyce Cook, St. Joseph; two sisters, Emma Smith, Hemet, Calif., and Betty Kuehner, St. Joseph; a brother, Glenn, St. Joseph; a grandchild; and four great-grandchildren.
Service: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Meierhoffer-Fleeman Funeral Home, St. Joseph, with rites by members of Charity Lodge No. 331, A.F.&A.M.; Burial: Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Joseph. Family visitation: 1:30 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Ruby M. Harding
1899-1998
GRANT CITY, Mo. -- Ruby May (Zimmerman) Harding, 99, Grant City, died Friday, Dec. 4, 1998, at a health-care center in Grant City.
Born in Worth County, Mo., on May 5, 1899, Mrs. Harding was a lifelong resident of Grant City.
A homemaker, she was a member of the Isabelle Baptist Church in Allendale, Mo.
Mrs. Harding was preceded in death by her husband, James M., in 1978; her parents, William T. and Madama Zimmerman; five brothers, Francis, Charles W., Benjamin F, Carl and Ray Zimmerman; and two sisters, Dollie Brawner and Ethel Lasher.
Surviving: two sons, Harold L., Grant City, and J.W., Allendale; four daughters, Winona Cooper, Fairfax, Mo., Ruth Boedeker, Lee's Summit, Mo., Karol A. Chicken, Grant City, and Opal Fuller, Okmulgee, Okla.; 19 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Service: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Prugh-Dunfee Funeral Home, Grant City. Burial: Isabelle Cemetery, Allendale. Visitation: after 8 a.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Jean F. Hunt
1920-1998
Jean F. (Fowler) Hunt, 78, St. Joseph, died Thursday, Dec. 3, 1998, at a St. Joseph hospital.
Born in Owensboro, Ky., on Oct. 13, 1920, Mrs. Hunt was a teacher in Indiana for two years before moving to St. Joseph in 1946.
She was a graduate of Indiana State University in Terre Haute. Mrs. Hunt was a member of the First Presbyterian Church; Chapter JF of P.E.O. Sisterhood, of which she was a past president; Presbyterian Women, of which she was a past president; Home Econ Club; Runcie Club and Atheneum Club.
On Aug. 11, 1946, she married Fred C. Hunt. He survives of the home.
Mrs. Hunt was preceded in death by her parents, Orie L. and May Fowler; and two sisters, Louise Foley, and an infant, Frances Fowler.
Additional survivors: three daughters, Nancy Mulvaney, St. Joseph, Christine Murphy, Waterloo, Iowa, and Elizabeth Saxby, Post Falls, Idaho; a son, Jim, Tucson, Ariz.; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Service: 9 a.m. Monday, Meierhoffer-Fleeman Funeral Home, St. Joseph. Burial: Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Joseph. Family visitation: 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or a charity of the donor's choice.

Eldon McClarnon
1908-1998
EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, Mo. -- Eldon McClarnon, 90, Excelsior Springs, died Thursday, Dec. 3, 1998, at a health-care center in Excelsior Springs.
Mr. McClarnon was employed by the Brown & Strauss Steel Co., and then worked in land surveying and development.
Born in Braddyville, Iowa, on July 31, 1908, he was a resident of Excelsior Springs for 20 years and at a health-care center for five years. He graduated from the Braddyville high school and University of Iowa School of Engineering.
Mr. McClarnon was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Excelsior Springs; and Missouri Association of Professional Engineers.
On May 29, 1933, he married Roberta M. Hutson in Plattsmouth, Neb. She survives of the home.
Mr. McClarnon was preceded in death by his parents, L.R. and Mary; three brothers, Bruce, Howard and Ralph; and two sisters, Gayle Wall and Charleen Shepard.
Additional survivors: a son, Rex, Nixa, Mo.; a daughter, Joanne Bonuchi, Excelsior Springs; four grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.
Service: 3 p.m. Sunday, Price Funeral Home, Maryville, Mo. Burial: Lamar Cemetery, Elmo, Mo. Family visitation: 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Alzheimers Disease research.

L. Ruth Allen
1923-1999
L. Ruth (Yarger) Allen, 75, St. Joseph, died Friday, Jan. 1, 1999, at a St. Joseph hospital.
Mrs. Allen was employed as a waitress at Herman's Drug Store and Cottage Grill, both of St. Joseph.
Born April 10, 1923, in St. Joseph, she was a lifelong resident there. She attended Lafayette High School, St. Joseph.
Mrs. Allen was a member of the Savannah Avenue Baptist Church, St. Joseph, where she attended Sunday school and the Golden Age Club.
On Sept. 5, 1939, she married Donald L. Allen Sr., in Oregon, Mo. He died in 1990.
Mrs. Allen also was preceded in death by her parents, John and Sarah Yarger; and numerous brothers and sisters.
Surviving: five sons, Mike, Easton, Mo., Brian, Savannah, Mo., and Roger, Donald and Larry, all of St. Joseph; three daughters, Judy Miller and Barbara Bartram, both of St. Joseph, and Susan, of the home; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Service: 1 p.m. Monday, Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, St. Joseph. Burial: Ashland Cemetery, St. Joseph. Visitation: after 9 a.m. today, at the chapel, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. today. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Savannah Avenue Baptist Church, St. Joseph.

Beatrice F. Bailey
1943-1998
JAMESON, Mo. -- Beatrice Fern (Ruark) Bailey, 55, Jameson, died Thursday, Dec. 31, 1998, at a St. Joseph hospital from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident at U.S. Highway 36 and Stewartsville Road in DeKalb County, Mo.
Mrs. Bailey, a homemaker, also was office manager at the Ferrill Gas Co., Gallatin, Mo., for most of her working life.
Born Oct. 13, 1943, in St. Joseph, she lived in Springhill, Kan., and Savannah, Mo., until moving to Jameson eight years ago. She was a member of the Jameson First Baptist Church.
On Nov. 9, 1967, she married Howard L. Bailey in Amazonia, Mo. He survives of the home.
Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by her father, Ollie Ruark; and a brother, Larry Ruark.
Additional survivors: a son, Howard L. II, Jameson; a daughter, Dovie L. Lofton, Round Rock, Texas; two stepsons, Tommie Graves, Pryor, Okla., and Glenn Bailey, state of Texas; a stepdaughter, Christine Hurley, Clifton Forge, Va.; her mother, Clara L. Ruark, Savannah; a brother, Alva Ruark, Savannah; three sisters, Della K. Osborn, Amazonia, Twyla Smith, St. Joseph, and Mary McCrary, Jamesport, Mo.; and seven grandchildren.
Service: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Hope-Eldringhoff Funeral Home, Gallatin. Burial: Grand River Cemetery, Jameson. Visitation: after 8 a.m. today, at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday.

Maye L. Bristow
1903-1999
RAYTOWN, Mo. -- Maye L. (Breeze) Hendricks Bristow, 95, Raytown, formerly of Chillicothe, Mo., died Friday, Jan. 1, 1999, at a Raytown health-care center.
Mrs. Bristow was a baby sitter for many families in Chillicothe, and also had worked at the day-care center in the Chillicothe United Methodist Church.
Born March 31, 1903, in Walla Walla, Wash., she moved to Missouri in 1908, and to Raytown in 1987.
In 1923, she married Frank Hendricks in St. Louis. He died in 1968. In 1976, she married Oscar Bristow. He died in 1983.
Mrs. Bristow also was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas S. and Lydia L. Breeze; three brothers; six sisters and a grandchild.
Surviving: a daughter, Frieda M. Munden; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside service and burial: 11 a.m. Monday, Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe. Visitation: 5 to 9 tonight, and 8 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe. Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Heart Association, in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, MO 64601.

Marlene E. Haeberle
1935-1999
TARKIO, Mo. -- Marlene E. (Whiteman) Haeberle, 63, Tarkio, formerly of St. Joseph, died Saturday, Jan. 2, 1999, at a hospital in Fairfax, Mo.
After graduating from the former Methodist Hospital School of Nursing, St. Joseph, Mrs. Haeberle worked as a registered nurse at the former Methodist Medical Center, St. Joseph, until her retirement in 1982.
Born March 26, 1935, in Tacoma, Wash., she lived in St. Joseph before moving to Tarkio in 1996. She was a member of the Methodist faith.
On Dec. 2, 1956, she married John A. Haeberle. He survives of the home.
Mrs. Haeberle was preceded in death by her parents, Norman E. and Evelyn A. Whiteman.
Additional survivors: a son, John A. Jr., St. Joseph; two daughters, Candy A. Franke, Tarkio, and Dawn F. Thornton, Fairfax; four sisters, Darlene Lambert, Zanefield, Ohio, Patricia Huey, Gower, Mo., and Norma Weese and Beverly Wood, both of El Dorado, Kan.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
There will be no services or visitation for Mrs. Haeberle. The body has been cremated. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Fairfax Community Hospital. Arrangements: Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, St. Joseph.

Robert L. Holloway
1923-1998
HEMET, Calif. -- Robert L. Holloway, 75, Hemet, formerly of St. Joseph, died of pneumonia on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 1998, at a hospital in Riverside, Calif.
Mr. Holloway worked in air conditioning and refrigeration for four years at Douglas Aircraft, El Segundo, Calif., and for 22 years at the Los Angeles City School District, retiring in 1979.
Born July 19, 1923, in St. Joseph, he lived in Hawthorne, Calif., for 26 years before moving to Hemet 19 years ago. He served as an electrician's mate in the Navy from 1943 to 1945.
Surviving: his wife, Norma E. Holloway, of the home; two daughters, Lynn George, Huntington Beach, Calif., and Karen Thompson, Hayward, Calif.; a son, Mark, Huntington Beach; a sister, Rose, Porter, Texas; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside service and burial: 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, Riverside National Cemetery, Stage No 4. Arrangements: Harford Funeral Home, Hemet.

Eloys G. Klaiber
1908-1999
Eloys G. (Graham) Klaiber, 90, St. Joseph, died Friday, Jan. 1, 1999, at a St. Joseph hospice.
Mrs. Klaiber was employed with the former Kennedy Grocery Co., then was employed in the office of the former Townsend & Wall Department Store, both of St. Joseph. She retired from the former Rainbo Bread Co., St. Joseph, as an assistant office manager, and after her retirement, she continued work as office manager of Electronic Alarm Devices, St. Joseph, until July 1998.
Born Aug. 8, 1908, in St. Joseph, she was a lifelong resident there and a member of the Christian faith. She also was a member of the Pony Express Chapter of the American Business Women's Association.
She was married to John Duccio. They later divorced.
Mrs. Klaiber was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert M. Klaiber, in 1941; her parents, Howard and Myra Graham; and a sister, Thera Graham.
Surviving: a son, Marlowe M., St. Joseph; a sister, Elane Venable, Springfield, Mo.; and two grandchildren.
Service: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Meierhoffer Family Funeral Care, St. Joseph. Burial: Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Joseph. Visitation: after 1 p.m. today, at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight.

Angela M. Koetting
1906-1999
KANSAS CITY -- Angela M. Koetting, 92, Kansas City, formerly of Sabetha, Kan., died Friday, Jan. 1, 1999, at a Kansas City hospital.
Born Aug. 15, 1906, near Sabetha, she moved with her family to Halstead, Kan., in 1913, where she attended Halstead High School. She also attended Mount St. Scholastica College, Atchison, Kan., and was a volunteer for the Little Sisters of the Poor.
Mrs. Koetting was a member of the St. Therese Parish, where she was active in the Altar Society and Legion of Mary. She also was a member of the Ladies of Charity and the Eucharist Guild, and was past president of the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women.
On Nov. 29, 1928, she married Cletus M. Koetting. They moved to Kansas City after their marriage. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Koetting also was preceded in death by an infant son, Joseph; a brother, C.D. Buser; and a sister, Helen Rumpf.
Surviving: a daughter, Rosemary Bestgen, St. Louis; three sons, Jerome D., Albuquerque, N.M., and Bernard E. and James A., both of Kansas City; five sisters, Cecilia Buser, Liberty, Mo., Veronica Buser, Horton, Kan., Sister Margaret A. Buser, C.S.J., Grand Island, Neb., Sister Danetta Buser, B.V.M., Kansas City, and Sister Mary A. Buser, B.V.M., Chicago; 18 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10 a.m. Monday, St. Therese Little Flower Church, Kansas City. Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Kansas City. Family visitation: 3 to 6 p.m. today, at the church, where a rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. and a prayer service will be held at 5 p.m. Memorial contributions may be sent to the church. Arrangements: Muehlebach Funeral Home, Kansas City.
