Georgia Maxine Wilson, age 80, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2002 at Lafayette Regional Hospital, Lexington, Missouri.
She was born February 25, 1922 in Grand Pass, Missouri, the daughter of John C. and Emma Lee Brashear Wilson. She graduated from Waverly High School. She was a home maker. Mac was a member of the United Methodist Church of Waverly, Missouri and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include one brother, Samuel R. Wilson, St Charles, Missouri; one sister, Florence Fenner, Waverly, Missouri; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 30, 2002 at the United Methodist Church, Waverly, Missouri with Reverend Bob Payne officiating. Burial will be in Waverly Cemetery, Waverly, Missouri.
Ms. Wilson will lie in state at the Gibson Funeral Home, Waverly, Missouri from 2-6:00 p.m., Saturday, June 29, 2002.

Virgil Fredde, age 66, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2002 at Moberly Regional Medical Center, Moberly, Missouri. Virgil was born June 7, 1936 in Carrollton, Missouri; the son of Arthur Walter and Dora Meta Bunge Fredde.
He attended Fletcher Grade School and graduated from Carrollton High School in 1954.
He was a member of the First Christian Church of Carrollton.
Survivors include one son, Virgil L. Fredde, Jr., Anchorage, Alaska; one daughter, Patricia, of Kansas City, Missouri; four sisters, Mildred Brockmeyer, Lincoln, Nebraska,
Gladys Alburtis, Decatur, Illinois, Doris Shirley, Kansas City, Missouri, and Martha Still, Rogers, Arkansas; one granddaughter, Christine Rose Fredde; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 8, 2002, at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Carrollton, Missouri, with the Reverend Joe Barone officiating.
The family suggests contributions to the First Christian Church or the Oak Hill Cemetery in memory of Mr. Fredde and they may be left at or mailed to Gibson Funeral Home, 201 South Main, Carrollton, Missouri 64633 .

Vincent J. Sullivan, age 86, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Friday, July 5, 2002 at Carroll County Memorial Hospital, Carrollton, Missouri. He was born May 3, 1916 in Carroll County, Missouri the son of Ambrose and Anna Wheaton Sullivan. He attended St. Mary's Catholic School, Carrollton, Missouri; and Ward High School, Kansas City, Kansas. He graduated from Rockhurst College, Kansas City, Missouri; completed two years post-graduate work at St. Louis, Missouri; and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Carrollton, Missouri, where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Vincent was a retired Carroll County farmer.
On February 14, 1946 he married Mary Lou Wille at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Norborne, Missouri. She survives at the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Vincent E. Sullivan and wife, Sheila, Des Moines, Iowa, Timothy Sullivan and wife, Patrice, Fresno, California; three daughters, Mary Sullivan-Glorioso and husband, David, Fayetteville, North Carolina, Cathy Sullivan, Leavenworth, Kansas, Peggy Denker, Independence, Missouri; two brothers, Francis Sullivan, Kansas City, Missouri, Paul Sullivan, Carrollton, Missouri; five grandchildren, Patrick Nooning, Nicole and Amanda Denker, Samantha and Shannon Sullivan; and one great-grandson, Noah Denker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Virgil, Bernard, and Clement; two sisters, Viola and Sister Mary Grace; and one infant daughter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 8, 2002 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Reverend Ken Criqui officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Carrollton, Missouri.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 7, 2002 from 7-8:00 p.m., at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri, with Rosary at 8:00 p.m.

Clastine Givens Adrian Cassa, 86, formerly of Bogard, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2002, in Ellensburg, Washington.
She was born September 16, 1915 in Bogard, Missouri, the daughter of Norvill and Mardy Wagaman Givens. Clastine received her education in Bogard and graduated from Bogard High School in 1933. While in high school she was baptized and became a member of the Bogard Church of Christ.
She was married to Keith J. Adrian in June of 1934 and they resided on the family farm southwest of Bogard, Missouri until relocating to Denver, Colorado in 1952. She was married to Joe S. Cassa in 1976. Mrs. Cassa enjoyed many years of employment with the Neusteter's Stores and the Air Force Finance Center. Her main interests in life were her home, family and friends.
Mrs. Cassa was privileged to love two daughters, Donna J. Cook and her husband, Ron, and Wanda L. Hajet and her special friend, Michael Hawkins. She is also survived by three grandsons, Mark, Kevin and Robert Cook; two granddaughters, Terri Jan Parsons and Diana Maioriello; eight great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Adalene Frankum, Carrollton, Missouri; one brother, Marvill Givens; and three nieces.
Mrs. Cassa was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Edward, in infancy, and Edgar Givens.
Funeral services were held at Steward-Williams Funeral Home in Ellensburg, Washington at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, July 9, 2002. Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 11, 2002 at Ebenezer Cemetery, Bogard, Missouri, with Reverend Bruce Trussell officiating.

Irene G. Schifferdecker Pugh, age 96, of Norborne, Missouri, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2002 at Shirkey Leisure Acres, Richmond, Missouri.
She was born December 24, 1905 on the family farm near Norborne, Missouri, the daughter of Leonard and Helena Wolf Schifferdecker. She attended Lutheran Parochial School and Norborne High School. Mr. and Mrs. Pugh owned and operated the R. L. Pugh Produce in Norborne for twenty-five years. Later, Mrs. Pugh worked as a bookkeeper for Cunningham-Beckemeier Lumber Company for several years. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Norborne, Missouri.
On May 4, 1930 she was married to Raymond Lewis Pugh at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Norborne, Missouri by Reverend Ehlers. Mr. Pugh preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Charles Schifferdecker and Rudolph Schifferdecker; two sisters, Amelia Wegeng and Alma Russell.
Survivors include one son, Donald Pugh, Springfield, Missouri; two grandchildren, Aaron Pugh, Lisa Pogue; two great-grandchildren, Hayley Pogue, Merrit Pogue; and three step-grandchildren, Fred Ensminger, Amanda Ensminger and Andrew Ensminger.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 10, 2002 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Norborne, Missouri with Reverend Eric Swyres officiating. Burial will be in Fairhaven Cemetery, Norborne, Missouri.
Visitation will be from 7-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 9, 2002 at Gibson Funeral Home, Norborne, Missouri.

Dorothy May Day, age 79, of Waverly, Missouri, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2002 at Carrollton Nursing Center, Carrollton, Missouri.
She was born December 7, 1922 in Bosworth, Missouri, the daughter of James Walter and Edna Ethel Young Troutman. She attended schools in Bosworth and Kansas City, Missouri. She was a housewife.
On August 9, 1970 she married Herman Day in Kansas City, Missouri. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by a special friend, Jewell McCoy, of the home.
She was also preceded in death by one child in infancy.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 10, 2002 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri with Reverend Jeff Maxwell officiating. Burial will be in Wharton Cemetery, Bosworth, Missouri.
Visitation will be from 7-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 9, 2002 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri.

Lynda Catherin Rouse Whitcomb, age 56, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2002 at her home.
She was born April 21, 1946 in Boonville, Missouri, the daughter of Alva Anderson and Louise Mayme Hill Rouse. She attended Carrollton Grade Schools and graduated from Carrollton High School. She was a Lab Tech at Kelling Hospital in Waverly, Missouri for several years.
On November 27, 1967 she married Clay E. Whitcomb in Carrollton, Missouri. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by an aunt, uncle and several cousins.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial services will be conducted at 10:00 A. M., Tuesday, July 16, 2002 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri with Reverend Bert Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Carrollton, Missouri.

Donna Ruth Gardner Herriman, age 79, of Norborne, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2002 at the Carrollton Nursing Center, Carrollton, Missouri.
She was born January 20, 1923 in Ray County the daughter of P. L. (Bud) and Emma Alice Coleman Gardner.
On October 7, 1938 she married Orville Layman, who passed away December 18, 1948. Their children are Donald Layman of Carrollton, Missouri; and Dorothy Strathman, Norborne, Missouri.
On February 8, 1952, Ruth was married to Gid Pierce. He preceded her in death December 21, 1977. Their son is Buford Pierce, Carrollton, Missouri.
Ruth married Earl Herriman on December 15, 1962. He preceded her in death on July 23, 1985.
Ruth attended Central School in Ray County, Missouri. She worked at F. M. Stamper's, Stanford Laundry, Everett's Restaurant, Bryant's; and later Banquet Foods, all in Carrollton. She owned and operated Green Gables in Norborne, Missouri.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Norborne, Missouri; VFW Women's Auxillary #1773, where she served as a past president; and also ran the snack kitchen during Bingo for many years. She was also a member of the Road's Homemaker Club.
She is survived by one sister, Sara Francis Uthe, Kansas City, Kansas; three children, eight grandchildren; Donna Stafford, Versailles, Missouri, Tom Layman, Nebraska City, Nebraska, Tammy Smith, Sedalia, Missouri, Ann Proctor, Marshall, Missouri, Duane Higgenbotham and Debbie Elliott, both of Norborne, Missouri, Tracy Morrison, Trenton, Missouri, Terry Morrison, Douglas, Georgia; two sisters-in-law, Hazel Gardner and Louise Gardner, both of Carrollton, Missouri; and twenty-four great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Vern Gardner, Buford Gardner and Leroy Gardner; one sister, Mary Catherine Gentry; two grandsons and one granddaughter.
Funeral services were Friday, July 12, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri with Reverend Joe Barone officiating. Burial was in Antioch Cemetery, Norborne, Missouri.
Visitation was 7-8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 11, 2002 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri.

George Jackson Hensley, 78, of Bosworth, Missouri, passed away Friday, July 5, 2002, at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital, Carrollton, MO .
George was born September 9, 1923 in Carroll County, Missouri; the son of Louis P. and Vena M. Miles Hensley.He attended Fairview Grade School and graduated from Bosworth High School.
George was married to Mary Ellen Finley on October 21, 1944 in Carrollton, Missouri by the Reverend G. L. Bush.
He spent his entire life 4 and � miles southeast of Bosworth on the farm where he was born and raised and followed the occupation of farmer and livestock and grain producer.
He was a member of the Bosworth Christian Church, the Carroll County Historical Society, the Missouri Farmer's Association, and the Ambassador Club of Brunswick, MO .
George is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen, of the home; three daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Jack Fast, Osceola, Missouri, Darlene and Richard Miller,
Carrollton, Missouri, Marlene and Mitch White, Liberty, Missouri; four grandchildren, Tammy Jennings and husband Jeff, Michael Hyer and wife Nikki, Melissa Duff and husband Keith, and John Herrero; five great- grandchildren, Kaleb Duff, MacKenzie Duff, Kelsey Jennings, Jessecah Jennings, Kayla Hyer; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Leon Cauble, Hubert Hensley, and Francis Hensley and three sisters, Lourean Lightfoot, Lillian Crose, and Bertha May Parker.

Roy E. Looney, age 60, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Monday, July 15, 2002 at Harry S. Truman Veterans Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri.
He was born January 2, 1942 in Camden County, Missouri, the son of William Henry and Sophia Lee Moore Looney. He attended grade schools in Carrollton and graduated from Carrollton High School in May of 1960. Roy joined the United States Marine Corp on May 17, 1960.
On June 15, 1962 he married Sandra Lee Peek at the El Torro MCAS Base Chapel in California.
He retired as a Master Sergeant after thirty years of service on April 1, 1990. He served twenty- two years of active duty and eight years of inactive duty. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Presidents Unit Citation, Vietnamese Service Medal with two bronze stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with device (-60), Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with palm and frame, Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation and Meritorious Mast. After retiring, he returned to Carrollton where he was a security guard for Fuller Marketing, Inc.
He is survived by his wife, of the home, two daughters, Patty Stice and Peggy Lampman, both of Carrollton, Missouri; five granddaughters, Whitney Ramsey, Tana Ramsey, Emily Stice, Sarah French and Alexis Lampman, all of Carrollton, Missouri; one brother, Troy Looney and his wife, Margie, Carrollton, Missouri; three sisters, Connie Hasty and her husband, Riley, Carrollton, Missouri, Violet McGuire and her husband, Tucker, Camdenton, Missouri, Texas Tresler and her husband, Jarvis, Waverly, Missouri; one brother-in-law, John Glenn, Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces, nephews and special friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Bessie Glenn.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 19, 2002 at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, Missouri with the Reverend Bert Hughes officiating.
