Gilbert Lee Creason, Sr., age 62, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2004 at his residence in Marshall, Missouri.
He was born April 21, 1942 in Carrollton, Missouri, the son of Willard and Rebecca Adkins Creason. He had worked as a cemetery caretaker.
Gilbert leaves his wife, Margie Eldridge Creason, of the home; two sons, Nathan Creason and wife Cathy, Hale, Missouri, Kevin Creason, Marshall, Missouri; one daughter, Patsy Smith and husband Mark, Carrollton, Missouri; one step-daughter, Carol Washington, Marshall, Missouri; two sisters, Betty Sue Waters, Regal, Missouri, Delores Bailey, Waverly, Missouri; nine grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.
Gilbert was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Gilbert Lee, Jr. and two step-grandchildren.
Graveside services were at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, July 24, 2004 at Brotherton-Little Adkins Cemetery, Wakenda, Missouri with Reverend Bert Hughes officiating.

Margaret Elizabeth Dye, 92, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2004, at Carroll House in Carrollton, Missouri.
She was born October 9, 1911 in Wheeling, Missouri the daughter of Clifford Renick and Jennie Mae Clark Head. After graduating from Wheeling High School she attended Cosmetology School in Marshall, Missouri.
Margaret owned and operated the Glamourette Beauty Shop in Carrollton from 1943 until her retirement in 1979. She was a proud supporter of many of the activities and institutions to help promote Carrollton.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Carrollton, Missouri, the Business & Professional Women, Forum Club, and a member and Past President of the Carroll County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
Margaret is survived by two sons; Martin E. Dye, Roca, Nebraska and William G. Dye, Peachtree, Georgia; seven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Ralph; and five sisters Opal, Cora, Minnie, Ruth and Beula. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 19, 2004, at the Gibson Funeral Home in Carrollton, Missouri.
Burial was in the Carroll Memory Gardens, Carrollton, Missouri.

Mrs. Olivene Harper Newman, 82, of Carrollton, Missouri, formerly of Tina, Missouri, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2004, at the Liberty Hospital in Liberty, Missouri.
She was born September 1, 1921 in Trotter Township, Carroll County, Missouri; the daughter of Opal Marie (Smart) and Clarence Austin. She attended Austin Elementary School and graduated from Carrollton High School.
Olivene was united in marriage on July 22, 1939 to Edward Leo Harper at the McCroskie Creek Parsonage and they were married 55 years. He preceded her in death on November 17, 1995.
To this union five children were born Nancy, James, Linda, Dennis, and Mark.
She followed the career of a homemaker, housewife, and mother and was an excellent seamstress, cook, and gardner.
She took great pride in seeing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
While she lived in Tina, MO she was a member of the Star Merrymakers Club. She was baptized in her early years at the Rockhill Church of Christ and later moved her membership to the Carrollton congregation.
Olivene married Archie L. Newman on August 9, 1997 at the Carrollton Church of Christ and he survives at the home.
Survivors include five children: Nancy Lee Harper, New Orleans, Louisiana, James Rea Harper and his wife Jeanette, Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, Linda Kay Gilson and her husband, Larry, Hale, Missouri,
Dennis Lloyd Harper and his wife, Connie, North Platte, Nebraska, and Mark Edward Harper and his wife, Julie, Avalon, Missouri; seven grandchildren; eleven step-grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Lloyd Austin.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2004, at the Gibson Funeral Home in Carrollton, Missouri.
Visitation will be held from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. on Monday at the Gibson Funeral Home in Carrollton, MO.
Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Carrollton, Missouri.

Theresa Kathern McKenzie, age 55, of Brunswick, Missouri, passed away at her home in Keytesville, Missouri on Sunday, July 25, 2004. She was born on June 24, 1949 at Brookfield, Missouri, the daughter of Ferdinand and Marie C. Straub Westhoff. She graduated from Brunswick High School in 1968. theresa married raymond "Butch" McKenzie on January 24, 1970 at Brunswick, Missouri. She had been a secretary at the H & R Block in Brunswick, Missouri. She was a member of the St. Boniface Catholic Church at Brunswick, Missouri and a member of the St. Mary's Altar Society. She is survived by her husband Raymond "Butch" McKenzie of the home; her mother, Marie C. Westhoff of Brunswick, Missouri; two sisters, Julie McKenzie of Keytesville, Missouri and Marge Lewis of Brunswick, Missouri; five brothers, Fred, Ed and Mike Westhoff all of Brunswick, Missouri, Donnie Westhoff, Independence, Missouri and Tom Westhoff, Shelbina, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at 10:30 a.m., at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Brunswick, Missouri, with Reverend Leonard Misey officiating. Burial was in Bennett Cemetery, Keytesville, Missouri. The family suggests contributions be made to the Bennett Cemetery of the Missouri River Hospice. Burnetta Marian Murphy, 72, of Tina, Missouri, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2004, at her home.
She was born January 25, 1932 in Skidmore, Missouri, the daughter of Charley and Marian Thompson Ridlon. After graduating from Skidmore High School she married James Leroy Murphy on July 23, 1950 at the Christian Church in Skidmore.
Burnetta resided in Princeton, Missouri from 1968 until 1995 when she moved to Tina, MO.
She served as an election judge in Mercer County, was a member of the First Christian Church of Carrollton, MO where she served as an Elder, did volunteer work at the nursing home, and quilted with the Church Quilting Group.
Burnetta is survived by her husband, Jim, of the home; one son, C. Darwin Murphy and wife Peggy, Meadville, Missouri; two daughters, Glenda F. Currier, Dubuque, Iowa and Reverend Donna G. Murphy-Ceradsky and husband Garland, Lexington, MO; one sister, Colene Bohart, Maitland, MO; and six grandchildren, Amanda K. Murphy, Nathan S. Murphy, Jeffery L. Murphy, Daniel J. Murphy, Madison L. Ceradsky, and Jamison J. Ceradsky.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 28, 2004, at the First Christian Church, Carrollton, Missouri, with the Reverend Joe Barone officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri.
Burial will be in the Higginsville State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, Missouri.

Robert Wayne Hannan, age 30, of Columbia, Missouri, formerly of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Monday, July 26, 2004 at his home. Robert was born May 25, 1974 in Waverly, Missouri, the son of Dorothy Diana (Dee Dee) Winfrey Hannan and John F. Hannan. Robert grew up in Carrollton, attending Carrollton schools. He later moved to Columbia, Missouri. He was employed by Watlow in Columbia. He is survived by his mother, Dee Dee Fletcher, Carrollton and his father, John F. Hannan, Columbia, Missouri; one brother Patrick S. Hannan, and a sister, Crystal D. Hannan, both of Carrollton, Missouri; a step-sister, Melissa Widup and her husband Todd, of San Francisco, California; one daughter, Persephone Carridwen Hannan, of Columbia, Missouri; his maternal grandmother and step grandfather, Dorothy and Ray Stoneking, Carrollton, Missouri; his paternal grandmother, Lois Smith, Columbia, Missouri; his paternal grandfather, Frank Hannan, Cottage Grove, Minnesota; several aunts and uncles, a host of cousins, and one niece, Alexis Hannan. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Hunter Lynn Ames Hannan; his maternal grandfather, Stanley (Bud) Winfrey; an uncle, Harold A. Bowman; Aunt Brenda Bennett, Uncle Rodney W. Winfrey, Sr.; maternal great grandparents, Helen and Ralph Jones, Lottie and Reese Henderson, and Clarence Emmett Winfrey; his paternal great grandparents, Bessie and Oliver Simms, and Elsie Carter of St. Paul, Minnesota. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, July 31, 2004 at Evergreen Cemetery, DeWitt, Missouri with Reverend Lee Borders officiating. Linda Jean Fitzgerald, age 57, of Triplett, Missouri, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2004, at her home. She was born February 21, 1947 in Mendon, Missouri, the daughter of Lee and Nelda Stephenson Leon. She graduated from Northwestern High School. She married Garland R. Fitzgerald on May 16, 1964 at Mendon, Missouri. Garland preceded her in death on December 2, 1995. Linda had been a cook for the Northwestern School District. She was a member of the Triplett Christian Church Ladies Aid Society and had attended both the Triplett Christian Church and the Mendon United Methodist Church. She is survived by one son, Karl Ray Fitzgerald, Columbia, Missouri; one daughter, Lori Spencer, Mendon, Missouri; one sister, Fran Dooley, Carrollton, Missouri; and two grandchildren, Dallas and Deanna Spencer, Marshall, Missouri. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Joyce Henry. Graveside services were held on Monday, August 2, 2004 at 1:00 p.m., at the Newcomer Cemetery, Mendon, Missouri, with Gail Brown officiating. Funeral arrangements were by Gibson Funeral Homes, Inc., Brunswick, Missouri.

Maybelle Seraphinia Closterman, age 83, of Waverly, Missouri, passed away Friday, July 30, 2004 at Lafayette Regional Hospital, Lexington, Missouri.
She was born November 10, 1920 in Jetmore, Kansas, the daughter of Elijah Franklin and Inez Belle Dansel Grove. She graduated from Waverly High School and attended Chillicothe Business College.
On September 1, 1950 she married William Closterman in Waverly, Missouri. He survives at the home.
She was a telephone operator and had been a Postal Clerk at the Waverly Post Office. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Waverly, Missouri; Order of the Eastern Star, Lexington, Missouri and American Legion Post #580 Women's Auxiliary, Waverly, Missouri.
Seraphinia is also survived by three brothers, Cecil Grove, North Kansas City, Missouri, Ronald Grove, Centralia, Missouri, Kenton Grove, North Kansas City, Missouri; two sisters, Mary Grove Drunert, Waverly, Missouri and Shirley Grove Barr, North Little Rock, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Daniel, John and Jean Thomas Grove; and one sister, Marjorie, in infancy in 1923.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 2, 2004, at Waverly Cemetery, Waverly, Missouri, with Reverend Bob Payne officiating.
Visitation will be from 7-8:30 p.m., Sunday, August 1, 2004 at Gibson Funeral Home, Waverly, Missouri.

Carolyn Sue Grimes, age 60, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Friday, July 30, 2004 at the Life Care Center, Carrollton, Missouri.
She was born August 18, 1943 in Carrollton, Missouri, the daughter of Earl Henry and Maude Elizabeth Grandon Endicott. She attended Wakenda School, Carrollton High School and Park Hill High School in Kansas City, Missouri.
On June 10, 1961, Carolyn married Edward Sanford Grimes at the Wakenda Church of Christ. He preceded her in death on September 22, 2002.
Carolyn was a member of the First Christian Church, Carrollton, Missouri; a member of the Carroll County Historical Society and was a board member for the Carrollton Fire Department. She had worked as a nurse for Dr. Wetzel at Wetzel Hospital, Dr. Dickerson and Dr. Platz. She had been employed by Patterson's Clothing Store, Nancy's Fashions; and was Activity Director for the Carrollton Nursing Center. She had owned and operated Main Street Antiques in Carrollton and worked at Mary Ann Flower Shop in Carrollton.
Carolyn is survived by a companion, Gerald Mead, Columbia, Missouri; her Mother-In-Law, Freeda Smart, Carrollton, Missouri; five children, Gina Pointer and husband Mitch, Carrollton, Missouri, Pam Carney, Independence, Missouri, Melanie Gazaway and husband Dax, Bend, Oregon, Evan Grimes, St. Louis, Missouri, Cori Grimes, Columbia, Missouri; seven brothers and one sister, Vergil and Bonnie Endicott, Independence, Missouri, Mel and Nina Endicott, Kansas City, Missouri, Ed and Lou Endicott, Carrollton, Missouri, Terry and Janet Endicott, Carrollton, Missouri, Don and Gayle Endicott Hockridge, Carrollton, Texas, Lonnie and Mary Endicott, Carrollton, Missouri, Butch and Marcie Endicott, Pineville, Missouri, Tim and Becky Endicott, Carrollton, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Sharona Webb and husband Troy, Joelleen, Justin, and Tucker Pointer, Grandon and Bridget DiStefano, Shea Carney, Mazzy and Jack Burton Gazaway; three great grandchildren, Tommy Mitchell, Cecilie and Alexia Webb; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and great nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Wanella Endicott; and two sisters, Alyce Waters and Deloris Endicott.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, August 5, 2004, at the First Christian Church, Carrollton, Missouri, with Reverend Joe Barone officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Bosworth, Missouri.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m., until 1:15 p.m., before service time on Thursday, at the church.

Velma Beulah Irene Fox, age 80, of Bogard, Missouri, passed away Saturday, July 31, 2004 at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri.
She was born May 21, 1924, in Pollock, Missouri, the daughter of John and Josephine Polley Hines. She attended schools in Pollock, Missouri.
On May 16, 1967 she married Lonnie D. Fox in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death.
She had been employed with Banquet Foods in Carrollton, Missouri for twenty-one years and worked in the clean up crew.
Velma is survived by ten children, Doyle J. Hays, Chula, Missouri, Helen Whitmore, Bogard, Missouri, Karen Davis, Carrollton, Missouri, Dalton Hays, Bogard, Missouri, Donna Kimball, State of Idaho, Pam Wilhelm, St. Louis, Missouri, Theresa Whitmer, Chillicothe, Missouri, Dennis Hays, David Hays, Bogard, Missouri, Danny Hays, Bogard, Missouri; three brothers, Ervin Dale Hines, Seymour, Iowa, Glen Lewis Hines, State of Illinois, Charles Hines, State of Illinois; two sisters, Louise Vandemare, State of Illinois, Sharon K. Hines; thirty-six grandchildren, several great and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, John and Donald Ray Hines; and three sisters, Shirley, Iris and Geraldine.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 3, 2004 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri with Reverend Tim Buerky officiating. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, Bogard, Missouri.
