Sandra Carol Humphrey, age 47, of Marshfield, Missouri and formerly of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2004 in Marshfield, Missouri.
She was born December 31, 1956 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, the daughter of James D. and Edna Faye Osborne Luke. She graduated from Bogard High School, Bogard, Missouri.
On April 27, 1984, she married Fredrick Humphrey in Carrollton, Missouri. He survives at the home. Carol was a certified nurses aid and worked at Carrollton Resthaven for fifteen years; was a waitress for ten years at Main Street Cafe' in Carrollton; and worked for Casey's in Waverly and Marshfield. She was a loving wife and mother and a Baptist by faith.
Carol is also survived by four children, Brian Douglas Luke and wife Peggy, Columbia, Missouri, Amanda Morgan and husband Landon, Columbia, Missouri, Ricky Lee Humphrey, Carrollton, Missouri and Keith Allen Humphrey, Carrollton, Missouri; five brothers and sisters, Judy E. Condray and husband Howard, Williamsville, Missouri, Linda Lee Flick and husband Dennis, Carrollton, Missouri, Jimmy Luke, Jr. and wife Annette, Bogard, Missouri, Mike Luke, Marshall, Missouri and Jackie Hardwick, Kansas City, Missouri; and three grandsons, Adrian, Kenny and Gabriel; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Twin sons and her grandparents, Henry and Bertha Luke and Osa and Maggie Osborne, preceded her in death.
Graveside services were at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 22, 2004 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Carrollton, Missouri with Reverend Bert Hughes officiating.
The family suggests contributions be made to the American Heart Association in memory of Carol. They may be mailed to or left at Gibson Funeral Home, 201 S. Main, Carrollton MO 64633.

Herman William Ostermann, age 77, of Brunswick, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2004 at Boone Hospital, Columbia, Missouri. He was born September 5, 1927 in Brunswick, Missouri, the son of William and Elizabeth Hotchkiss Ostermann. He had served his country as a member of the United States Army. He had been a lifelong farmer, an employee of the Missouri Conservation Department at the Swan Lake Refuge at Sumner, Missouri and had been active in Law Enforcement for several Chariton County Communities. He was a Catholic. He is survived by five sons, Joe and John Ostermann, Brookfield, Missouri, Jeff Ostermann, Brunswick, Missouri, Jerry Ostermann, Mendon, Missouri, and Alan Ostermann of the home; three daughters, Susie Shafer, Brunswick, Missouri, Martha Ostermann, Triplett, Missouri and Patty Gash, Columbia, Missouri; two sisters, Agnes Speichinger and Helen Fox, both of Brunswick, Missouri; nineteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one infant brother. Funeral services will be held at Gibson Funeral Home, Brunswick, Missouri with William Korte officiating. Service time is at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, September 24, 2004. Visitation will be from 7-8:30 p.m., with a Rosary at 8:30 p.m., on Thursday, September 23, 2004 at Gibson Funeral Home, Brunswick, Missouri. Burial will be in St. Raphael Cemetery, Indian Grove, Missouri. The family suggests contributions be given to the National Emphysema Foundation in memory of Mr. Ostermann. Samuel Joseph Dyer, age 87, of Norborne, Missouri, passed away Friday, September 24, 2004 at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital, Carrollton, Missouri.
He was born January 14, 1917 in rural Buchanan County, Missouri, the son of Tilford Dee and Stella Lawrence Dyer. He attended Rushville and DeKalb Schools, graduating from Rushville High School. He served in the United States Navy during World War II.
On May 22, 1943, Sam married Charlene Scheible in St. Joseph, Missouri. She survives at the home. Sam had been a farmer his entire life. He was a member of the Carrollton First Christian Church and had served as a Deacon. He was also a member of the Norborne Lions Club; had served on the Norborne School Board, Prairie Township Maintenance Board and the Norborne Retirement Center Board. Sam loved life, family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Charlene, Sam is survived by one son, Charles Curtis Dyer and wife Janet, Houston, Missouri; one daughter, Linnell Busby and husband Robert W., Lee's Summit, Missouri; one brother, Jay Dyer, Aurora, Colorado; one sister, Nell Winburn, La Mesa, California; and four grandchildren.
His parents and five brothers preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Monday, September 27, 2004 at Gibson Funeral Home, Norborne, Missouri with Reverend Joe Barone officiating. Burial will be in Fairhaven Cemetery, Norborne, Missouri.
Visitation will be from 9:30-10:45 A. M., Monday prior to the service.

Earl Lloyd French, III, age 66, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital, Monday, October 4, 2004.
Earl was born January 9, 1938 in Winchester, Kansas. He was the son of Earl Lloyd French, Jr. and Myrtle Hope Reynolds French. He graduated from Effingham High School in Kansas in 1956. From graduation to beginning of the time he joined the service, he lived with Otto and Granny Pohl. Earl served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged on December 31, 1966.
On June 23, 1962, he was married to Fredie Sue Loftin in El Paso, Texas. Fredie is a housewife of forty-two years. Together, they had nine children. Earl worked at Kruseville Farms as a farm hand from 1970 to 1986, followed by working for the Carrollton R-VII High School as a custodian. Earl was very dedicated to his job at the school. He worked at the school from 1986 to present.
Earl was preceded in death by his father, Earl Lloyd French, Jr.; his mother, Myrtle Hope (Reynolds) French; his younger brother, David Edward French and half brother, Dave Gilmore.
Earl is survived by his wife, Fredie Sue French; five sons and four daughters, Kimberly Kinder and husband Raymond, Cuba, Missouri, David French and wife Gennie, Carrollton, Missouri, Robert French, Carrollton, Missouri, Richard French, Carrollton, Missouri, Rebecca White, Cuba, Missouri, Frederick French and wife Nadene, Belton, Missouri, and Cheryl, Kerri and Brian French, all of Carrollton, Missouri; and seven grandchildren, Christopher McCollum, Cheyenne White, Sarah, Brittney and Rachael French, and Ryan and Aaron Kinder.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 7, 2004 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri, from 7-8:30 p.m.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m., Friday, October 8, 2004 at the Carrollton High School Gymnasium with Reverend Joe Barone officiating. Burial will be in Carroll Memory Gardens, Carrollton, Missouri.

Maurine Helen Heins Schmidt, 101, Carrollton, Missouri passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2004. Born October 16, 1902 in Carrollton, Missouri, she was the daughter of William F. Heins and Caroline (Stemple) Heins. She graduated from Carrollton High School in the class of 1921 and attended Christian College. She was employed by the Heins Motor Company. On March 15, 1932, Maurine married Rudolf E. Schmidt. To this union four children were born.
Maurine was an active member of the First Christian Church of Carrollton. She served in many capacities, including Sunday School and as a Deacon. One of her favorite activities was helping prepare the many meals, dinners and fellowship gatherings in the life of the church. Always involved in serving her church, she was a Primary Sunday School Teacher and a member of the Edith Parker Guild, Tuesday Sewing group and Christian Women's Fellowship. Her Christian beliefs, the First Christian Church and its many members over the years were a central part of Maurine's life for which she will always be remembered.
The community organizations that she was affiliated with were Forum Club, High School Future Homemakers of America chapter mother, 77 year member of Eastern Star and served as an election judge for many years. She lived on East Benton Street for 93 years in the home of her father built in 1905. For the past 5-1/2 years, she has resided in the Carrollton Memorial Hospital Care Center.
Surviving her are sons, Howard R., of Carrollton, Harold M., of Leawood, Kansas; daughters, Beverly Richesson, Huntington Beach, California, Gayle Huxtable of Lawrence, Kansas and daughters-in-law, Martha Lee Schmidt, Carrollton and Sandie Schmidt, Leawood, Kansas, and son-in-law, Roger Richesson of Huntington Beach, California; nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and four brothers, Lawrence G., Floyd M., William F., and Edward L. Heins and son-in-law, Melvin Huxtable.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m., Monday, October 11, 2004 at the First Christian Church, Carrollton, Missouri, with Reverend Joe Barone officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Carrollton, Missouri.
Visitation will be from 7-8:30 p.m., Sunday, October 10, 2004 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri.

James E. Geraughty, Jr., age 77, of Waverly, Missouri, passed away Friday, October 8, 2004 at his home. He was born February 14, 1927 in Centerview, Missouri, the son of James E. Geraughty, Sr. and Irene Isles Geraughty. Jim attended the Waverly public school system, graduating from Waverly High School in 1945. He later attended Central Missouri State University. He was a veteran of the United States Army, being honorably discharged September 27, 1952. On June 26, 1952, Jim married Joyce D. Moyer of Waverly, Missouri. She survives at the home. He was a member of the Waverly Baptist Church. As a devout member for his entire adult life, Jim served as a Deacon and many other positions supportive of the church's ministry. He was a member of the Waverly Masonic Lodge. Jim was employed at Bendix/Allied Signal-Kansas City for thirty-seven years, retiring in 1989 as Supervisor-Tool and Gauge department. Prior to his service he was employed at Sheffield Steel in Kansas City, Missouri. In addition to his wife Joyce, he is survived by one daughter, Sheryl D. Finkeldei and husband Robert of Blackburn, Missouri; one son, Dr. James K. Geraughty and wife Mary Charlotte of Franklin, Tennessee; five grandchildren; Jason L. Finkeldei and wife Amanda of Blackburn, Missouri; Corey L. Finkeldei and wife Erin of Warrensburg, Missouri; James K. Geraughty, Jr., Michael P. Geraughty, and Alexandra C. Geraughty of Franklin, Tennessee; two sisters, Elizabeth Finch, Independence, Missouri, Mary Jean Landrum, Independence, Missouri; one brother, John Geraughty, Clearwater, Kansas; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Waverly Baptist Church on Monday, October 11, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. Visitation with the family will be at Gibson Funeral Home, Waverly, Missouri on Sunday, October 10, 2004 from 7-8:30 p.m. Masonic services will be at 8:30 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home after the visitation.

Faye Marie Kinker, 93, Carrollton, Missouri, died Saturday, October 9, 2004, at Carroll County Memorial Hospital, Carrollton, Missouri. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 12, 2004, at First Christian Church, Carrollton, with Reverend Joe Barone officiating. Burial will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery, Carrollton.
Faye Marie was born July 23, 1911 in Fort Worth, Texas, the daughter of Harry D. Miller and Myrtle Curtis, and lived in the Carrollton area all of her life, having graduated from Carrollton High School in 1929.
Prior to her marriage to John Marvin Kinker in 1937, Faye Marie was employed at Wilcoxsin Bank and Carroll County Trust Company in Carrollton. For many years she was manager of Lee's Motel in Carrollton.
Throughout her life Faye Marie was a member of the First Christian Church, Edith Parker Guild, served on various committees, as well as an Elder for many years.
She was also active in the Extension Club, PTA, Carroll County Historical Society, Forum Club, and enjoyed playing bridge.
Faye Marie always had her bags packed and was ready to go whenever invited to travel with family or friends.
As her health permitted, she remained interested in the activities of her family, displaying her love to them, and kept up with all of the actions of the younger members. To those who loved her, she was comforting and nurturing and will forever be remembered for the love with which she filled her home. Her spirit and tenderness will be with us forever, and her memory will never fade.
Faye Marie was preceded in death by her husband, John Marvin Kinker, in 1978. She leaves to love and cherish her memory three sons, John Miller, Raymore, Mo., Harry Lee and his wife, Nancy Benningfield, Adrian, Mo., Curtis Milton and his wife, Beverly Langhammer, Lenox, Iowa, and two daughters, Mary Jane and her husband Richard Kuhlman, Kansas City, MO/Bella Vista, Arkansas, and Martha Elizabeth and her husband Bill Hutson, Franklin Tennessee, four grandsons, Brian Eugene Hutson, Kyle David Hutson, John Matthew Kinker and Todd Curtis Kinker; two granddaughters, Andrea Marie Kinker and Bethany Jane Kinker; two great-grandsons, Tyler Joseph Hutson and Austin Brian Hutson. She is also survived by two sisters, Mary Catherine Harper, Cypress, California, and Elizabeth Renzelman, Liberty, Missouri, as well as one niece, Shirley Harper Bloom, Cypress, California. She was preceded in death by a niece, Judith Renzelman Endres.
The children express their gratitude for the attention and services provided their Mother by her caregivers in her final years.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the First Christian Church, Carrollton.
The family will receive friends at the First Christian Church beginning at 12:30 p.m.

Bolivor Warren, age 60, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2004 at his home.
He was born April 27, 1944 at Bosworth, Missouri. He was the son of Edward J. Warren and Ruby G. Wheeler Warren.
On June 14, 1974, he married Roberta K. Bredemeier Warren of Norborne, Missouri.
At the age of 25, he joined the United States Army where he served in Vietnam in Cambodia for eighteen months. He was a member of the Carrollton Veterans of Foreign Wars Pence-Lovell-England Post #1773. He was employed by W. M. Brode, he also enjoyed farming, fishing, and being with family and friends.
He attended Wakenda grade school to the eighth grade.
He is survived at home by his wife, Roberta K. Warren of Carrollton, Missouri; one son, Edward Warren of Carrollton, Missouri; one daughter, Francis J. England and her husband Mark England, of Carrollton, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, William Edward Warren, his parents Edward J. Warren and Ruby G. Wheeler Warren.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 14, 2004 from 7-8:30 p.m., at the Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri.
The funeral service will be October 15, 2004 at 10:30 a.m., at the Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri, with Hank Nash officiating. Burial will be in Big Adkins Cemetery, Wakenda, Missouri.

Mary Virginia Wilhelm, age 80, of Bosworth, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2004 at the Carrollton Nursing Center, Carrollton, Missouri.
She was born March 17, 1924 in Wakenda, Missouri, the daughter of Charles Wesley and Ella Mayme Haney Albert. She graduated from Wakenda High School.
On December 24, 1943, Mary married Gordon Gorman in South Carolina. Two daughters, Jacqueline Gorman McAfee and Deena Gorman Wolf, were born to this union.
Mary married Ercel Wilhelm on January 23, 1971 in Carrollton, Missouri. Ercel survives at the home.
Mary had retired as a secretary for the Bosworth High School in 1999 after twenty years. She had also worked at the Bosworth Post Office, ASCS office in Carrollton, and the E & W Farm Service in Bosworth. She was a member of the Bosworth Christian Church, a member of OES for over fifty years, and the Carroll County Retired School Personnel.
Mary is survived by her husband, Ercel, Bosworth, Missouri; one daughter, Deena Wolf and her husband George, Kansas City, Missouri; two step-sons, Roger Wilhelm and his wife Mary Ellen, Columbia, Missouri, John Wilhelm, Bosworth, Missouri; eleven grandchildren, Jacob and Hannah Wolf, David McAfee, Steven Wilhelm, Sonja Wright, Eric Wilhelm, Cara Wilhelm, Candace Wilhelm, Jim Wilhelm, Ann Wilhelm and Janet Wilhelm; five great grandchildren, Amy McAfee, Cameron and Amanda Wilhelm and Mekenzie and Nicholas Wright.
Her parents; one daughter, Jacqueline McAfee; seven brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 16, 2004, at the First Baptist Church, Carrollton, Missouri, with Reverend Jeff Maxwell officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Carrollton, Missouri.
Visitation will be from 7-8:30 p.m., Friday, October 15, 2004 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri.

Wilma Lois Smith, age 76, of Holts Summit, Missouri, formerly of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2004 at the Westphalia Retirement Center, Westphalia, Missouri.
She was born February 1, 1928 in Independence, Missouri, the daughter of Louis and Bessie England Peach. She attended schools near Waverly, Missouri. She attended Baptist churches and was a caregiver in private homes. She was first married to Frank Hannan and later married Emmett K. Smith on August 23, 1974. He preceded her in death.
Lois is survived by three children, John F. Hannan and Kathy Bell Pruitt, both of Holts Summit, Missouri, Christine Smith Warden, Columbia, Missouri, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Emmett, she was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Mike, and one grandson, Robert.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, October 16, 2004 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Carrollton, Missouri with Pastor Jeff Maxwell officiating.
Visitation will be from 12-1:15 p.m. before the service on Saturday at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri.
