Charles Duffel, Sr.

Charles William Duffel, Sr., 58, of Doniphan, Mo., formerly of Rector, Ark., died Monday, Jan. 27, 2003, at Three Rivers Healthcare in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Born June 15, 1944, in Rector, he was a brakeman for Union Pacific Railroad and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita Duffel, of St. Elizabeth, Mo.; his mother, Freda Tyler Landrum, of Rector; one son, Charles William Duffel, Jr., of Dupo, Ill.; two daughters, Tonia LeSieur, of Fulton, Mo. and Shelly Marie Peskar, of Imperial, Mo.; two brothers, Gary Duffel, of Paragould, Ark. and John Duffel, of Jonesboro, Ark.; one sister, Jayne Calvin, of Rector and eight grandchildren, Sarah and Bobby Peskar, Hope, Joshua, Cody and Ashley Duffel and Kody and Tyler LeSieur.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, Jan. 29, at the Mitchell Funeral Home in Rector.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Kenny Burns officiating. Burial will follow at the Woodland Heights cemetery in Rector.

Orval Heathcock

Orval Heathcock, 80, of Campbell, Mo., died Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2003, at the Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Ark.

Funeral arrrangements are incomplete with the Landess Funeral Home of Campbell.

Eva Jones

Eva Jones, 98, of Gideon, Mo., died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003, at Gideon Care Center.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete with the Bradshaw Fuenral Home of Gideon.

Nathaniel Jones, Sr.

Nathaniel Jones, Sr., 73, of Hayti, Mo., died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003, at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti.

Born Nov. 24, 1929, in Crawfordsville, Ark., son of the late David and Rosa Lee Puchie Jones, he founded, pastored and was a member of the Eastside Spiritual Church of God in Christ in Hayti. He was a security guard at Mid-Continent Aircraft.

On Oct. 14, 1950, in Crawfordsville, he married Sallie M. Johnson, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include 10 sons, Nathaniel Jones, Jr., David, Willie Joe, Carl, Donny, Leval, Calvin, Carnell, Darion and Johnny Jones; three daughters, Rosie Mae Larry, Earlean Davis and Verlene Presberry; one sister; 43 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Catherine Jeter, one brother, Robert Earl Jones and two sons, Lavon and Norzell Jones.

Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Wednesday, Jan. 29, at the Bradshaw-Powell Funeral Home in Steele, Mo.

Funeral services will be held at noon, Thursday, Jan. 30, at the Eastside Spiritual Church of God in Christ in Hayti with Elder Willie Jones officiating.

Burial will follow at the Evergreen cemetery in Hayti.

Gracie Lindsey

Garcie Lorene Lindsey, 84, of Bernie, Mo., died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003, at the Malden Nursing Center in Malden, Mo.

Born Feb. 18, 1918, in Moark, Ark., daughter of the late Jacob A. and Cora Ethylene Herning Teeters, she was a seamtress at Gossard Hosiery in Malden.

On June 21, 1937, in Piggott, Ark., she married Robert Thomas Lindsey, who preceded her in death on Nov. 25, 1980. She was also preceded in death by one son, Donald Gene Lindsey; one daughter, JoAnne Zimmerman; two grandsons, Kenneth Robert and Mark Christian Lindsey; four brothers, John, Neopolitan, Lee and Jessie Teeters and six sisters, stillborn infant, Maggie Williams, Opal Armstrong, Maudie Tate, Lena Livingston and Violet Teeters.

Survivors include one brother, Vernon Teeters, of Bernie; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, Jan. 29, at the Rainey-Mathis Fuenral Home in Bernie.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow at the Bernie cemetery.

Leon Lovelady

Leon Lovelady, of Senath, Mo., died Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2003, at his residence. Funeral arrrangements are incomplete with the McDaniel Funeral Home of Senath.

R.D. Walker

R.D. Walker, 76, of Hayti, Mo., died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2003, in New Madrid County.

Born Aug. 21, 1926, in Webb, Miss., son of the late Leslie Cleveland Walker and Mae Jones Easter, he was U.S. Navy veteran and a welder.

On Feb. 23, 1948, he married Marietta Ruffin, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include four sons, R.D. Walker, of Hayti, A.D. Douglas, Jessie Lee Walker and Joe Ruffin, all of Chicago, Ill.; three daughters, Loretta Covington and Stephanie Lloyd, both of Hayti and Felicia Hudson, of Springfield, Ill.; two brothers, Leslie Walker, of Kennett and Martin Thomas, of Chicago; one sister, Lena Walker; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, at the Bradshaw-Osburn Funeral Home in Hayti.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, at the Faith Temple Church of God In Christ in Hayti with the Rev. J.H. Newmy officiating.

Burial will follow at the Evergreen cemetery in Hayti.

Delorese Williams

Delorese "Delo" Williams, 89, of Campbell, Mo., died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2003, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete with the Landess Funeral Home of Campbell.

Orval Heathcock

Orval Ray Heathcock, 80, of Campbell, Mo., died Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2003, at the Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Ark.

Born Sept. 9, 1922, in Booneville, Miss., son of the late George W. and Minnie M. McCoy Heathcock, he was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in WWII and was a member of the American Legion Post 109 in Campbell. He was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Campbell.

On Dec. 31, 1945, in Piggott, Ark., he married Mayoma Maxine Mackey, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include two daughters, Ginger Evans, of Campbell and Faye Buie and husband, Scotty, of Malden, Mo.; three grandsons, Scott Miles and Shannon Buie, both of Campbell and Heath Buie, of Salem, Mo.; one granddaughter, Sarah Powers, of Campbell; three great-grandsons, Clint and Kyler Miles and Jake Buie; five great-granddaughters, Makinley, Daley and Blaney Powers, Madelyn Miles and Cheyenne Buie and one sister, Virginia Mackey, of Lions, Ill.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Thursday, Jan. 30, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Gatewood officiating.

Burial will follow at the Stanfield cemetery in Clarkton, Mo.

Eva Jones

Eva Cole Jones, 98, of Gideon, Mo., died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003. at Gideon Care Center.

Born July 8, 1904, in Kosciusko, Miss., daughter of the late Van E. and Sara Etta Woods Brown, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Gideon.

On Nov. 21, 1920, in Ethel, Miss., she married Earl David Jones, who preceded her in death on Oct. 20, 1982. She was also preceded in death by three daughters, Mildred Lance, Marie Townsend and Oneda VanDine; one son, Bryan Earl Jones; three sisters, Thelma Austin, Laura Presson and Edna Maddox and one brother, Elmo Brown.

Survivors include three daughters, Almeda Schmiedell and husband, Budd, of Moody, Maine, Cleta Nell Cook and husband, Paul, of House Springs, Mo. and Joyce Kerr, of Wentzville, Mo.; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Gideon.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Morgan officiating.

Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge cemetery in Kennett.

Marie Karnes

Marie Karnes, 88, of Senath, Mo., died Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2003, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Senath.

Burial will follow at the Lulu cemetery in Senath.

Leon Lovelady

Leon Lovelady, 59, of Senath, Mo., died Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2003, at his residence.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today, Thursday, Jan. 30, 2003, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, at the McDaniel Fuenral Home Chapel in Senath with the Rev. Greg Pollock officiating.

Burial will follow at the Lulu cemetery in Senath.

Delo Williams

Delo Williams, 89, of Campbell, Mo., died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell.

Born Nov. 26, 1913, in Piggott, Ark., daughter of the late James Ernest and Mattie Wyatt Thompson, she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 92, the Campbell Woman's Club, the Federated Garden Club in Campbell and also a member of the United Methodist Church in Campbell.

On March 1, 1942, in Caruthersville, Mo., she married William Dale Williams, who preceded her in death on April 3, 1995. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Wyatt B. Thompson and one sister, Frances Clardy.

Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Williams Bopp and husband, Paul, of Chesterfield, Mo. and two grandchildren, Jonathan and Katie Bopp, both of Chesterfield.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, Jan. 30, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Campbell with the Rev. Karen Blank-Ewell officiating.

Burial will follow at the Woodlawn cemetery in Campbell.

Lonnie Brown

Lonnie Brown, 51, of Piggott, Ark., died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2003, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge cemetery in Kennett.
