Eddie Cagle

Rev. Eddie Cagle, 86, of Kennett, died Tuesday, April 30, 2002, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Thursday, May 2, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 3, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Collins officiating.

Burial will follow at the Memorial Gardens cemetery in Kennett.

Nina Harrellson

Nina Harrellson, 78, of Kennett, died Wednesday, May 1, 2002, at Methodist North Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete with the McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett.

Shelley Langley

Shelley Langley, 50, of Malden, Mo., died today, Thursday, May 2, 2002, at the Malden Nursing Center.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete with the Landess Funeral Home in Malden.

Jerrod Payne

Jerrod Heath Payne, 16, of Senath, Mo., died Sunday, April 28, 2002, at Senath.

Born Nov. 18, 1985, in Fort Campbell, Ky., son of Tim and Teresa Burton Payne, of Senath, he was a 10th grade student at Senath-Hornersville High School.

Survivors also include, two brothers, Josh and Jase Payne, of Senath; one sister, Jena Payne, of Senath; grandparents: Clara Burton, of Senath, Terry and Glenda Payne, of Gobler, Mo. and Judy and Mick Wilson, of Rochester, Ind. and great-grandmother, Fronia Pierce, of Rochester.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, at the Senath-Hornersville High School Gymnasium with the Revs. Doug Clinton and Derek Combs and Yancy Poorman officiating.

Burial was in the Memorial Gardens cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers were George Anderson, Kurt Whitlock, Anthony Busch, Daniel Henry, Blake Larsen, Jerad Callahan, Andy Braden, Matt Williams and Dustin Martin.

Honorary pallbearers were his sophomore classmates.

McDaniel Funeral Home of Senath was in charge of arrangements.

Terry Akridge

Trenton Terrell "Terry" Akridge, 36, of Campbell, Mo. died July 9, 1993, in Campbell.

Born June 7, 1957, in Campbell, son of the late Lonzo Howard Sr. and Dorothy Jean Prentice Akridge, he was a Baptist faith.

Survivors include five brothers, James Howard Akridge, of Dexter, Mo., Donald Gene, Lonzo Jr. and Robert Earl Akridge, all of Campbell and Jerry Akridge, of Gideon, Mo. and five sisters, Phyllis Sims, of Malden, Mo, Della Vannasdall, of Gideon, Joyce Ellsworth, of Malden, Judy Collins, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. and Anna Walbert, of Campbell.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Wilburn Ray Akridge and one nephew, Ryan Akridge.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.

Burial will follow in the Woodlawn cemetery-Landess Addition at Campbell.

Corinne Blankenship

Corinne Blankenship, 86, of Orlando, Fla., formerly of Kennett, died Thursday, May 2, 2002, at Grace Manor in Orlando.

Funeral services are incomplete with the McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett.

Darrell Briggs

Darrell Briggs, 84, of Senath, Mo., died Thursday, May 2, 2002, at National Health Care in Kennett.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Friday, May 3, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at the First Baptist Church in Senath.

Burial will follow in the Senath cemetery.

Eddie Cagle

Rev. Eddie Cagle, 86, of Kennett, died Tuesday, April 30, 2002 at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Born April 4, 1916, in Mississippi County, son of late Joseph Washington and Bessie May Vowell Cagle, he served as pastorates of the Pentecostal Holiness Churches of Arkansas, Missouri, Ohio, Tennessee and Kentucky, he was an active member in the Tri-State Conference of the Pentecostal Hliness Church and served as president of the Conference's Sunday School Association.

On Sept. 7, 1935, he married Julia Imogene Cumpton, who preceded him in death on May 5, 1996 and on Dec. 8, 1996, he later married Geneva Akers, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include two sons, Eddie C. Cagle, of Wardell, Mo. and Jimmie D. Cagle, of Mayfield, Ken.; two step-sons, Jackie Jackson, of Lafontaine, Ind. and Greg Akers, of Kennett; five step-daughters, Brenda Chaffin, of Floral City, Fla., Cathy Lunyon, of West Plains, Mo., Vicki McClain, of Kokomo, Ind., Beverly Henry, of Rockford, Ill. and Kimberly McGrew, of Malden, Mo.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Pauline Curtis, Louise Clay and Marjorie Cubbage.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Friday, May 3, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Dennis Collins officiating.

Pallbearers were Hubert and Eric Snipes, Bill Heinen, Henry Gee, Mark Skelton, and Greg Akers. Burial was in the Memorial Gardens cemetery at Kennett.

Wesley Gaines

Wesley Ommer Gaines, 73, of Wardell, Mo., died Monday, April 29, 2002, at Hayti, Mo.

Born April 18, 1929, in Blytheville, Ark., son of the late Clifford and Wesley and Virgie Queen Gaines, he was a member of the Hayti Church of Jesus Christ.

On July 7, 1979, in Hayti, he married Ester Joan Quinn Nobles, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include one son, Carl Dewayne Gaines, of Corning, Ark.; two daughters, Bonnie Lou Quick, of Deering, Mo. and Rebecca Ann Goldsmith, of Wardell; four step-children, Ricky and Mark Nobles, both of Caruthersville, Sandra Quick, of Steele, Mo. and Joel Nobles, of Portageville, Mo.; seven grandchildren; two great grandsons; seven step-grandchildren and two sisters, Mamie Amick, of Paragould, Ark. and Emma Whitfield, of Mountain View, Ark.

He was preceded in death by one son, James Gaines; one step-grandson and two brothers, Thomas Gaines and David Gaines.

Funeral services were held Thursday, May 2, at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel at Hayti with the Rev. Paul Quinn officiating.

Burial was in the Dry Bayou cemetery at Hayti. Pallbearers were Brandon Hanner, Tommy, Gary and Leslie Drumwright, Douglas Fowler and Bobby Quinn.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 5, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett.

Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens cemetery at Kennett.

Ruby E. Hawkins, 84, of Jonesboro, Ark., died Thursday, May 2, 2002, at her residence.

Shelley Langley

Shelley Darlene Langley, 50, of Malden, Mo., died Thursday, May 2, 2002, at Malden Nursing Care Center in Malden.

Born April 19, 1952, in Campbell, Mo., daughter of the late Lilbourn "J.C." and Melba Melinda (LaParr) Langley, she was a member of the Kimball Baptist Church in Malden and a seamstress for RBA Manufacturing Company in Malden.

Survivors include two brothers, David Langley and wife, Margie, of Malden and Bruce Langley and wife, Rhonda, of Kansas City, Mo.; two sisters, Vickie Lane, of Scott City, Mo. and Peggy Henson and husband, Jim, of Malden and 13 nieces and nephews, Nathan, Jason, Justin and Rachel Langley, Leah Nimo, Teresa Erickson, Travis Demerest, Dale J., Frankie, Annie and Darin Lane, Scarlett Jones and Stephanie Henson.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2002, at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 5, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. the Jim Cornman officiating.

Burial will follow in the Rosewood 1st Addition cemetery at Malden.

Robert Montgomery

Robert Montgomery, 38, of Gideon, Mo., died Thursday, May 2, 2002, at his residence.

Funeral services are incomplete with the Bradshaw Funeral Home of Gideon.

Burley Pollard

Burley Pollard, 62, of Senath, Mo., died Thursday, May 2, 2002, at the Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould, Ark.

Funeral services are incomplete with the McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett.

Donna Austill

Donna Lea Austill, 32, of Palm Bay, Fla., formerly of Malden, Mo., died Tuesday, April 30, 2002, at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Fla.

Born Feb. 18, 1970, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., she was the daughter of Norman Austill of Zephyrhills, Fla. and Sandra Bruning of Palm Bay, Fla.

Survivors include a brother, Gregory Austill of Lithia, Fla; a sister, Cheryl Dailey of Palm Bay, Fla., two nieces Tiffany and Kelsey Austill and a nephew, Joey Dailey.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. Monday, May 6, at Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden, followed by graveside services in Memorial Park cemetery at Malden with the Rev. James Black officiating.
