James Rueben White, 90, of Bernie, Mo., formerly of Campbell, Mo., died Thursday, June 27, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete with the Landess Funeral Home of Campell.

Bassell Borcherts

Bassell "Dutch" Borcherts, 80, of Arbyrd, Mo., died Friday, June 28, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Sunday, June 30, at McDaniel Funeral Service Chapel in Kennett.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Monday, July 1, at First Baptist Church in Arbyrd with the Rev. Alan Cureton officiating.

Burial will be in the McGrew cemetery.

Nebraska Denson

Nebraska Denson, 106, of Kennett, died Saturday, June 29, 2002, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Arrangements incomplete with McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett.

Anna Moore

Anna Mae Moore, 68, of Malden, Mo., died Thursday, June 27, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Born Nov. 28, 1933, in Lepanto, Ark., daughter of Cleo Lorene Branch Johnson of Malden and the late James Clifton Johnson, she was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Malden.

Other survivors include one son, David L. Jones of Washington, Ill.; a brother, Rev. Monroe Johnson of Tarpon Springs, Fla. and five grandchildren: Joey Denson, Stephanie and Kenny Cain all of Peoria, Ill. and Diana Denson and David Lee Jones, II, both of Washington.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Ann Mann and a son, Larry Joe Jones.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. today, Sunday, June 30, in the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Malden.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. Monday, July 1, at First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Dale Shoup officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery in Malden.

Jerry Redwine

Jerry Redwine, 63, of Kennett, died Saturday, June 29, 2002, at his residence in Kennett.

Arrangements incomplete with McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett.

James White

James Ruben White, 90, of Bernie, Mo., died Thursday, June 27, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Born April 10, 1912 in Bernie, son of the late James Ruben and Cynthia Ann Morris White, he was a farmer and member of the Bethany General Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons: Ruben A. White and his wife, Margaret, of Campbell, Mo. and Bill L. White and his wife, Margaret Ann, of Hot Springs Village, Ark. five grandchildren: Johnny White of Bernie, Michael White of North Dakota, Bonita Faulkner of Campbell, Tate White of Garland, Texas and Troy White of Ft. Smith, Ark. and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. today, Sunday, June 30, at Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Campbell with Rev. Bryan Johnson and Mabrey Loafman officiating.

Burial will be in Bethany cemetery at Campbell.

Ben Bailey

Ben Harold Bailey, 83, of Steele, Mo., died Friday, June 28, 2002, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center.

Born Jan. 23, 1919, in Booth Point, Tenn., son of the late Harry M. and Lilly Bell Cooper Bailey, he was U.S. Navy veteran, serving in WWI where he received the Victory Medal, an aviation storekeeper, a member of the American Legion and the Church of Christ in Steele.

On July 24, 1991, in Blytheville, Ark., he married Opal McDonald Waller, who survives of Steele.

Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 1, at the Mt. Zion cemetery in Steele.

Bradshaw-Powell Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of arrangements.

Lora Bishop

Lora Bishop, 87, of Kennett, formerly of Cardwell, Mo., died Sunday, June 30, 2002, at the Heritage Nursing Center in Kennett.

Born April 10, 1914, in Shields Community, Mo., daughter of the late Clarence and Eunice Marshall Brown, she was a switch board operator at the hospital.

On Feb. 16, 1938, she married Byron 'Bud' Bishop, who preceded her in death on Aug. 1, 1997. She was also preceded in death by six sisters, Ola Kimbrough, Ova Bolin, Edra Tomlinson, Bonnie Goodwin, Evelyn Brant and Lois Ridings and two brothers, C.W. Bishop, Jr. and Robert Bishop.

Survivors include one son, Jack N. Bishop, of Paragould, Ark.; two daughters, Betty L. Maxwell and Judith L. Crews, both of Kennett; two sisters, Gladys Carter Green, of Paragould and Nova Medows, of St. James, Mo.; four grandchildren, Kerry Parker, of Kennett, John Maxwell and Jennifer Bishop, both of Paragould and Gregory Crews, of Trumann, Ark. and seven great-grandchildren, Matthew and Adam Parker, Eddie and Blake Crews and Ryan, Whitney and Landon Maxwell.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Tuesday, July 2, at the First Baptist Church in Cardwell with the the Revs. Clyde Cook and Ed Jansson officiating.

Burial was in the Cardwell cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ron and Matt Parker, David Joe Hicklin, Joe Dan Loftin, Ken Carter and Brandon Wells.

Honorary pallbearers were Lee Newman, Estes Craig, Clyde Cobb, Eddie Harold Risinger and Jerald Parker.

McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett was in charge of arrangements.

Bassell Borcherts

Bassell 'Dutch' Borcherts, 80, of Arbyrd, Mo., died Saturday, June 29, 2002, at the St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Born Nov. 18, 1921, in Tuscola, Ill., he was the son of the late Henry Borcherts and Rachel Bruner.

On Jan. 4, 1958, he married Goldie Higgins, who preceded him in death on Feb. 24, 2002. He was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Survivors include one daughter, Peggy Taylor Carnes and husband, Charles, of St. Louis, Mo. and two grandchildren, Katrina Marie Carnes and Karen Diane Wagner.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 1, at the First Baptist Church in Arbyrd with the Rev. Alan Cureton officiating.

Burial was in the McGrew cemetery.

Pallbearers were Weldon and Mike Huggins, Neal Smith, Dwayne Petty, Rufus Brown and Matthew Cureton.

McDaniel Funeral Home of Arbyrd was in charge of arrangements.

Nora Cannon

Nora Cannon, 82, of Kennett, died Monday, July 1, 2002, at National Health Care in Kennett.

McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett is in charge of arrangements.

Anna Fuller

Anna Joyce Fuller, 68, of Kennett, died Sunday, June 30, 2002, at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Tuesday, July 2, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Lonnie Mittag and Dale Rickman officiating.

Burial will follow at the Memorial Gardens cemetery in Kennett.

Kenneth Jones

Kenneth D. Jones, 62, of St. Peters, Mo., formerly of Senath, Mo., died Saturday, June 29, 2002.

He married Brenda Palmer, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include one son, Jonathan Jones; two sisters, Jewel Parkenson and husband, Floyd and Mag Overman and husband, Robert; and two brothers, Paul Jones and wife, Joann and Gary Jones and wife, Betty.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Bill Jones.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, at the New Buchholz Mid-Rivers Mortuary in St. Peters.

Paul Lance

Paul L. Lance, 67, of Jonesboro, Ark., died Saturday, June 29, 2002, at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Tuesday, July 2, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with Michael Johnson officiating.

Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge cemetery in Kennett.

Pauline Osborn

Pauline R. Osborn, 85, of Corning, Ark., formerly of Qulin, Mo., died Sunday, June 30, 2002, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, Ark.

Born Jan. 25, 1917, in Risco, Mo., daughter of the late Frank and Florena Skidmore Huffman, she was a housewife, and a charter member of the Osborn General Baptist Church in Oglesville.

On Oct. 8, 1932, in Piggott, Ark., she married Alfred James Jude Osborn, who preceded her in death on Nov. 15, 1987. She was also preceded in death by one son, Dairus Osborn and a son-in-law, Gerald Brockman.

Survivors include three daughters, Betty Brockman, of Grand Lake, Mich., Fern Tompkins and husband, Ray, of Pollard, Ark. and Judy Hicks and husband, G.W., of Corning; two sons, Gail Osborn and wife, Collenn, of Corning and Garry Osborn and wife, Linda, of Moscow Mills, Mo.; three brothers, Harlan Elroyce Huffman, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Donald Huffman, of Meridian, Miss. and Jerry Huffman, of Memphis, Tenn.; two sisters, Geneice Hefner, of Qulin and Mary Helen Byrum, of Montgomery, Ala.; 13 grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Tuesday, July 2, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell, Mo.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Hancock officiating.

Burial will follow at the Qulin cemetery in Qulin.
