Velma Cooper Crabtree

Velma Cooper Crabtree, 90, of Anderson, Mo., passed away Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004, at Medicalodge in Neosho, Mo. Mrs. Crabtree was born May 20, 1914, in Hiwasse, Ark., the daughter of Christopher Columbus Cooper and Georgia Anis Pendergraft Cooper. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by two son Don and wife, Betty Crabtree, of Anderson, Mo., and Dennis and wife, Norma Jean Crabtree, of Joplin, Mo.; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004, at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with burial in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at Hiwasse, Ark.
Arrangements were by Benton County Funeral Home, Rogers, Ark.

GROVE, Okla. — Shyann Renee Browning died Friday, Nov. 19, 2004, at Integris Grove General Hospital.
Survivors include her parents, Cassie Fidler and Chester Earl Browning; her brother, Tyler McKinnley Browning; her grandparents, Drenda and Doug Cox, Marvin and Denice Fidler, Robert and Nona Browning.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, at Southwest City Cemetery, Southwest City, Mo. Visitation was 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004, at the funeral home.
Services are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Okla.
Franklin ‘Frank’ D. Severs

Mr. Franklin “Frank” D. Severs, 70, of Pineville, Mo., passed away at 1:29 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, at his residence.
He had lived in Pineville, Mo., since 1977 coming from Neosho, Mo. He was born Nov. 10, 1934, in Neosho, Mo., to the late Charles E. and Nina D. (Housden) Severs. He served in the United States Air Force. He was a welder/machinist for 30 years working for Teledyne in Neosho, Mo., and Pratt & Whitney in Springdale, Ark. He enjoyed hunting, golf, baseball and basketball. He was very proud to be the Torch Bearer for the 2004 McDonald County American Cancer Society Relay for Life Rally and was a member of the Purple Hearts Team.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and a sister in infancy.
Survivors include his partner and friend Martha “Janie” Williams of Pineville, Mo.; two sisters, Barbara and Leroy Spaulding of Muscatine, Iowa, and Carla and Virgil Sprenkle of Abilene, Kan.; his children, Jeff and Jan Overton, Jerry and Donna Overton, Julie and Rick Bussey all of Neosho, Mo., Tracey and Susan Williams of Bella Vista, Ark., Wendy and Michael Deaton of Noel, Mo.; several grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, at 3 p.m. at the Walker-Dowd Funeral Home in Anderson, Mo. The Rev. Jim Wallis officiated. Cremation followed the service.
Visitation was held Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, from noon until service time at the funeral home.
Arrangements were under the personal care of Walker-Dowd Funeral Home, of Anderson, MO.
Betty Mae Denny

Betty Mae Denny, 67, of Gravette, Ark., died Thursday Nov. 25, 2004, in Gravette, Ark. She was born Dec. 31, 1936, in Delaware County, Okla., to Elmer M. and Minnie B. (Allen) Frye.
Betty was a dedicated housewife who helped raise chickens, loved to sew, play the piano, sing, and she also collected cabbage patch dolls. Betty was also a member of the Cornerstone Church near Southwest City, Mo.
Betty is survived by her husband, Timothy Denny of the home; three sons, Donnie Lee Denny of Maysville, Ark., Gary Wayne Denny and wife Sherry of Goodman, Mo., Alan Ray Denny of Maysville, Ark.; two daughters, Donna Harrison of Gravette, Ark., Roseann Moss and husband Donnie of Sarcoxie, Mo.; her mother, Minnie Foster of Jay, Okla.; three brothers, Bill Frye of Jay, Okla., George Frye of Southwest City, Mo., and Jake Frye of Jay, Okla.; two sisters, Patsy Hill of Goodman, Mo., Phyliss Ball of Racine, Mo.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Betty was preceded in death by her father, one grandson, Brian Lee Denny, and her step father, Raymond Foster.
A visitation was held Monday night from 6 until 8 p.m. at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Gravette.
Funeral Services were 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004, at the Cornerstone Church near Southwest City with the Rev. Ralph Houk officiating and interment following at Maysville Cemetery.
Services were under the direction of Callison-Lough Funeral Service in Gravette.
Robertlee ‘Bob’ Dean Adams

Robertlee "Bob" Dean Adams, 69, a life-long Anderson, Mo., resident, departed this life Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004, in his home after a sudden illness.
Robertlee entered this life on Dec. 6, 1934, in Anderson, Mo., the only son of James Robert and Leota Ruth (Beshears) Adams. At the age of 18 he went to work for the Missouri Department of Transportation, retiring in June of 1992 after 40 years of faithful service. Robertlee loved Anderson and McDonald County, and was known for his daily drives around town. He also enjoyed attending auctions and lending a helpful hand to his neighbors.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Robert Adams.
Robertlee is survived by three daughters, Peggy Childress and husband, Terry, of Fayetteville, Tenn., Sally Fields and husband, Howard, of Seneca, Mo., and Susan Mullin of Fayetteville, Tenn.; two sons, Robert Adams and Belen of Norfolk, Va., and Lewis Adams and wife, Paula, of Anderson, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Joseph Adams, Courtney Adams, Laura Adams, Ashley Jones, Adam Jones, Tommy Mullin and Nicholas Brown; his mother, Leota Adams of Anderson, Mo.; four sisters, Frances Scearce, Shirley Haddock, and Mary Haddock, all of Anderson, Mo., and Judy Lybeck of Prairie Grove, Ark.; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Robertlee "Bob" Dean Adams were at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, in the Anderson Full Gospel Church in Anderson, Mo., with Pastor Cecil Hall officiating. Burial was in the Anderson Cemetery.
Ivan Drake, Jim Ellis, Mark Bunn, Ray Hill, Larry Jones, and Tim Bundgard were pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were, Robert Lee Schlessman, John E. Smith, Owen Gibson, and Willie Schlessman.
Memorials were given to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements were under the personal care and direction of the Ozark Funeral Home, of Anderson, Mo.

Glenn Edward Miller, Jr. 52, of Southwest City, Mo., died Nov. 25, 2004, at his home. Born Nov. 25, 1952, in Southwest City, Mo., he was the son of Glenn Miller, Sr., and Billie Gammon Wilbanks. He was a truck broker and moved to the Northwest Arkansas area from Tulsa, Okla., twelve years ago. He married Carol Philpott in 1975 and was a member of Falling Springs Community Church, Decatur, Ark. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Shannon Faye McLaughlin and Cassie Jean McLaughlin.
Survivors include his wife, Carol of the home; two sons, Tony Miller of Tulsa, Okla., and Rodney McLaughlin of Springdale, Ark.; three daughters, Lori Dobyns of Sand Springs, Okla., Shelly Miller of Southwest City, Mo., and Ronda Harwood of Mounds, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; his father, Glenn Miller, Sr., of Southwest City, Mo.; his mother, Billie Wilbanks of Gentry, Ark.; and one sister, Beverly Sharp of Gentry, Ark.
Funeral services were 2 p.m., Monday, Nov. 29, 2004, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Ark., with Mark Rotrammel officiating. Burial was at Falling Springs Cemetery, near Decatur, Arkansas. Betty G. Nielsen, 92, of Southwest City, Mo., departed this life Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, in the Northwest Medical Center, in Bentonville, Ark., after a long illness.
Betty was born May 26, 1912, in Pasco, Wash., the daughter of the late William I. and Edna (Bond) Graham. On Nov. 10, 1960, she was united in marriage to Jim S.E. Nielsen, and together spent 31 years before his passing on Aug. 10, 1992. For 43 years she was a secretary for the California Teachers Association, in Sacramento, Calif. She was a member of the Longview Free Methodist Church, in Longview, Wash. Betty was always joyful, and was never afraid to try new things. She enjoyed golfing, line dancing, and was a gifted concert pianist.
Betty is survived by a brother, Thomas H. Graham and his wife, Geneiva, of Longview, Wash.; a nephew, Richard T. Graham, and his wife, Margaret, of Kelso, Wash.; two great nieces, Lori L. Paul of Kelso, Wash., and Susan J. Fugelbeig of Longview, Wash.; three great-great-nephews, Clark G. Paul, David M. Paul, and Mathew T. Fugelbeig, all of the state of Washington; a son, Walter R. Nielsen and wife, Jo, of Southwest City, Mo.; a granddaughter, Lynn Barnes and husband, Lloyd, of Southwest City, Mo.; two great-grandchildren, Karla Crain and husband, John, of Columbus, Kan., and Wayne Barnes and wife, Regina, of Bentonville, Ark.; two great-great-grandchildren, Marilyn Jane Crain, and John Wiley Crain, Jr., both of Columbus, Kan.
Private family services will be held Friday, Dec. 3, 2004, with private interment on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004.
