Andrew Wayne Johnson
April 13, 1959-March 11, 2006
Mr. Andrew “Andy” Wayne Johnson, 46, of Springfield, Mo., formerly of Noel, Mo., was called home to heaven at 3:15 a.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2006, at the home of his parents in Noel, Mo., after a short courageous battle with cancer.
Andy began his journey on April 13, 1959, in Gravette, Ark., one of three children born to Wayne and Becky (Brown) Johnson. He was raised in Noel, Mo., and was a member of the 1977 graduating class of the McDonald County High School where he was very involved in the McDonald County High School band and choir. He attended Drury College in Springfield, Mo. Music was Andy’s passion, he began playing and singing in church, however his love of music and talent led him to play at many different places. His first job was playing in a band at Dog Patch USA then to Lee Mace Ozark Opry in Lake of the Ozarks. Later he moved close to Branson where he played for John Paul’s Ozark Superpickers, the Anita Bryant Show and finally the Shoji Tabuchi Show. Andy has been a member of several bands throughout his career. Andy was not only a musician, he also worked as a parts manager for KCR International Trucks in Springfield, Mo., for the past three years. Humor, music and trivia are a few things that he enjoyed most. Andy was a member of the Mill Creek Baptist Church in Noel, Mo., for 37 years.
Andy was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Claude and Mae Brown, and paternal grandparents, Frank and Blanche Johnson.
He is survived by his parents, Wayne and Becky Johnson of Noel, Mo.; two sisters, Karen Gardner of Jane, Mo., and Jake Johnson of Westville, Okla.; four nieces, Jami Iowa, one of two children adopted by the late George and Lela May (Taylor) Gilliam. He spent his younger days in the wonderful state of Iowa, and to this union four children were born. He faithfully worked for the United States Postal Service for 25 years as a maintenance electrician, 17 years in the bulk mail center in Des Moines, Iowa.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Barbara Ann Gilliam; one son, Jesse Gilliam of Jane, Mo.; three daughters, Tracy Harwell and husband, Billy, Terri Gilliam and fiancé, Rex Canfield, and Brandi Gilliam, all of Jane, Mo.; one sister, Alice Jean Keller and husband, Robert, of Dexter, Texas, one of seven children born to the late Marion Thomas and Emma Alberta (Bolton) Brown. She married Claude Elmer Houck on Aug. 8, 1942. He preceded her in death in September of 1965. Jessie later married Ralph D. Moore and they have been together for 37 years. Jessie and Ralph moved from Southwest City, Mo., to Joplin in 1997. In her younger days, Jessie enjoyed working at Robinson’s Drug Store and Fred’s Café, both in Southwest City, and the Ben Franklin in Noel, Mo. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, wife and generous friend who loved to cook wonderful meals, plant flowers and sew quilts for her family. Jessie was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Southwest City, Mo.
Jessie was preceded in death by her first husband, Claude Elmer Houck, her parents, two brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include her loving husband, Ralph D. Moore of Joplin, Mo.; three daughters, Lynnie “Lynn” (Houck) Hobbs and husband, William (Bill), of Thayer, Mo. Treva Shields and husband, Duane, of Rogers, Ark., Verline Stephens and husband, Bob, of Joplin, Mo.; one son, Elmer Thomas Houck of Neosho, Mo.; one brother, Floyd Brown and wife, Martha, of Vega, Colo., and Ron Funcannon of Peoria, Ill.; a sister Sharon Hensley of Milan, Ill.; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services for Connie Misner were 11 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 2006, at the Gospel Lighthouse Church in Neosho, Mo., with Minister Myrna Marble officiating. Burial followed in the Peace Valley Cemetery in Anderson, Mo. Those honoring Connie's life by serving as pallbearers were Jeff Enslow, Andy Jones, Rick Bieganowski, Nick Gonzales, Eddie Jones and Bryce Misner. The family received friends on Friday evening from 6 until 8 in the funeral home chapel. Memorials are being directed to the American Diabetes Association and contributions may be left at the funeral home. Shirley Jean Wellesley
Shirley Jean Wellesley, 70, of Jane, Mo., departed this life on Tuesday, March 14, 2006, at her home. Services are 10 a.m. Saturday, March 18, 2006, in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Jane, Mo. Burial will follow in the Brush Creek Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Friday from noon until 8 p.m. in the Ozark Funeral Home Chapel in Anderson, Mo., where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. On-line condolences may be sent to the family through our website, www.ozarkfuneralhome.com.

Wallace Eugene Holly
Dec. 13, 1925-March 8, 2006
Wallace Eugene Holly, son of the late Eugene and Mary (Wallace) Holly, was born Dec. 13, 1925, in Bentonville, Ark. He departed this life on Wednesday, March 8, 2006, at his home in Southwest City, Mo., at the age of 80.
Wallace moved to Southwest City with his family in 1933. He served his country faithfully in the United States Army in the early 1950s. After his honorable discharge from the service, he returned to Southwest City to operate his own service station. On Dec. 10, 1954, he was united in marriage to Willa Jean Hammack and to this union two sons were born. In 1962 he went to work for the Southwest City Auto Supply and later purchased the business in 1963. Wallace was a longtime faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Southwest City, Mo., where he served as deacon and Sunday school superintendent.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Willa Jean Holly on June 15, 2000; and three brothers, Dallas, Reed and Jack Holly.
Wallace is survived by his two sons, Dale Wayne Holly and wife, Ronda, of Southwest City, Mo., and Douglas Eugene Holly and wife, Darleen, of Decatur, Ark.; four grandsons, Stephen Holly and wife, Brandy, and Philip Holly both of Southwest City, Mo., and Joshua, and Ethan Holly both of Decatur, Ark.; a great-grandson, Corbin Dale Holly; two brothers, Dale Holly and wife, Shirley, of Joplin, Mo., and Everett Holly and wife, Alice, of Southwest City, Mo.; a sister, Wilma Cuenod of Broken Arrow, Okla.; two sisters-in-law, Anna Holly of Southwest City, Mo., and Joann Holly of Collinsville, Okla.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Glyna Birch of Tulsa, Okla., and Ronnie and Betty Hammack of Grove, Okla.; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Wallace Eugene Holly were 2 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 2006, in the First Baptist Church in Southwest City with brothers Ray Clanton and Jack Sawyer officiating. Burial followed in the Southwest City Cemetery. Those honoring Wallace's life by serving as pallbearers were Tom Cone, Dan Frye, David Collingsworth, Keith Lindquist, Don Tiffany and Darrell Spillers. The family received friends on Friday evening from 6 until 8 in the Ozark Funeral Home Chapel in Southwest City, Mo. Memorials are being directed to the Southwest City First Baptist Church and contributions may be left at the funeral home.
