SHARON FAYE DARR
Sharon Faye Darr, 57, of Kansas City, Mo., passed away unexpectedly, after a brief illness, on Wednesday, April 14, 2004, at Truman Medical Center West in Kansas City. Funeral services were at noon on Saturday, April 17, at Charter Funeral Home, Kansas City; burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian, Mo. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Sunshine Center in Independence.
Sharon was born Aug. 17, 1946, in Kansas City, the daughter of J. Carl and Wanda Faye (Stevens) Minzes. Sharon was employed by the City of Kansas City Preston Sanders officiated.
GEORGE J. GEENEN
George J. Geenen, 68, of Lee’s Summit, died of melanoma, on April 18, 2004. Burial will be in the family plot in Sutton, Neb.
George was born Oct. 23, 1935, in Beloit, Kan., to George Geenen Sr. and Luella M. (Zinnerle) Geenen. He was a graduate of Grinnell Kansas High School in 1953. He graduated from Fort Hays Kansas State College with a bachelor of arts degree in political science and obtained a master of science degree in library science from Kansas State Teachers College in Emporia, Kan.
He served as a rifleman with the 26th infantry from 1958 to 1960. He held positions as a reference librarian at Peru State College in Colo., and Andrew Karr, Welsonville, Ore.; and various cousins.
MARGARET ANN HERNDON
Margaret Ann Herndon, 65, Lee’s Summit, passed away April 16, 2004, at her home. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 20, at Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church, Lee’s Summit. Grave-side services were at 1 p.m. Tuesday, in Rich Hill, Mo. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Margaret’s Foun-dation Fund or Kansas City Hospice.
Margaret was born Sept. 29, 1938, in Fort Scott, Kan. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Mary Sheehy; a sister, Helen Sheehy; and two brothers, Merle and Edward Sheehy.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 47 years, James Rodger Herndon; two daughters, Ann Mickunas, Indepen-dence, and Lisa Norris, Pleasant Hill; two sisters, Irene Sheehy, Lee’s Summit, and Catherine Kern, Rich Hill; two brothers, Bill Sheehy, Charlotte, N.C., and Joe Sheehy, Purcell, Okla.; three grandchildren; 14 nieces and nephews; and a large, loving, extended family. She will be loved and missed.

WALDO W. “WALLY” LARSEN
Waldo W. “Wally” Larsen, 85, of Des Moines, Iowa. He retired as a boiler safety supervisor for the State of Calif., Phyllis Miller and husband, Jerry, Whidbey Island, Wash., and Geri Lowther, Channel Island, Calif.; and 36 nieces and nephews.
He was known as “Uncle Emmett” and “Buddy” to many countless relatives, friends and neighbors. He never knew a stranger. He will be remembered most of all for bringing laughter and joy to all who knew him.

Helen I. Wiebold, 84, of Kansas City, Mo., passed away Friday, April 16, 2004, at Truman Medical Center Lakewood. Helen was born June 5, 1919, in Kansas City, to Howard and Tressie Jones. She was a homemaker.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Aletha Jean Jones and wife, Georgia; and one sister, Donna Meissen and husband, Bernie.

Maxine Marie Mock Goodman, 73, Lee’s Summit, passed away Monday, April 12, 2004, at Lee’s Summit Hospital. Visitation is from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, one hour prior to services, at the funeral home.
Maxine was born March 7, 1931, in Independence.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond Mock; and infant son, Larry Chris Mock.
She is survived by her husband, Chuck Goodman, three children, Brenda Krohn, David Mock and Gary Mock; step-daughter, Karen Marie Giles; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Darlene Leighter and Sherrelyn Bell.
