EWING -­ Karlyn Kay Campen, 58, of Ewing, died at 2:50 p.m. Feb. 7, 2000, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Campen will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, at the Ball-Davis Funeral Home in Ewing. The Rev. Tom Waters will officiate. Burial will be at the Ewing Memorial Cemetery in Ewing.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of services Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Campen was born Oct. 30, 1941, in Quincy, Ill., to Carold and Mildred Cannady Cook.
She was married to Donald Campen on Dec. 27, 1958, in Ewing. He survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Paul of Pleasant Prairie, Wis., Keith of Taylor and Roger of Wentzville; one daughter, Donna Phillips of Ewing; two brothers, Richard Cook of Durham and Roger Cook of Quincy, Ill., and five grandchildren, Paul, Kristen and Kayla Campen, and David and Danika Phillips.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Pallbearers will be Donnie Fifer, Rodney Fifer, Sean Cook, Richard Cook Jr., Larry Cook and Kevin Carper.

Brenda Mae Castleberry
Barry, Ill.
Aug. 16, 1946 - Feb. 7, 2001
FRANKFORD ­- Brenda Mae (Maher) Castleberry, 54, of Barry, Ill., died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2001 at the Barry Community Care Center.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10 at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Frankford. Pastor Dorothy Browning will officiate. Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Frankford.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Castleberry was born Aug. 16, 1954, in Bowling Green to T. Clayton and Mary Elizabeth Wagner Maher.
Survivors include three sons, John T. Dietle, Moore, Okla., Jeff L. Dietle, Hannibal and Dave A. Castleberry, Perry, Ill.; one daughter, Jennifer L. (Myers) Bernard; five grandchildren, and one step-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, T.C. Maher.
Mrs. Castleberry was raised and lived in the Frankford area most of her life. She had been employed at the Barry Community Care Center for several years as a certified nurses assistant. She enjoyed playing bingo at the American Legion in Louisiana, Knights of Columbus Hall in Hannibal and the American Legion in Pittsfield, Ill.
She also enjoyed crafts, crossword puzzles, quilting and working with co-workers and the residence at her job at the Care Center.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
The family wishes to include as survivors, one daughter-in-law, Lori, of Hannibal; and one son-in-law, Justin, of Barry.

Carlos Ray Adams
Montgomery City
Jan. 11, 1943 - Feb. 6, 2001
TROY -­ Carlos Ray Adams, 58, of Montgomery City and formerly of Troy, died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2001, at the Harry S. Truman Veterans Administration Hospital in Columbia.
The body was cremated and a private family service will be at a later date. The cremains will be interred at the Sulphur Lick Cemetery, north of Troy.
Mr. Adams was born Jan. 11, 1943, in St. Charles to Claude Edward and Frances Jeffords Adams.
Survivors include one brother, Paul Edward Adams of Clearwater, Fla.; two sisters, his twin, Carlotta Fay Yordt of Montgomery City and Glenda Presley of Winfield; and one stepson, Jason Fairfield of Olney, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie; his parents; and one brother, William Wesley (Bill) Adams.
Mr. Adams grew up in Troy and was a 1961 graduate of Troy Buchanan High School. Following high school he entered the U.S. Navy and served his tour of duty in Spain.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, in care of the Kemper-Marsh Funeral Home in Troy.

Wanda Gerrish
Shelbina
Feb. 25, 1943 - Feb. 8, 2001
SHELBINA -­ Wanda Gerrish, 57, of Shelbina, died at 12:55 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, 2001, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at the First Baptist Church in Shelbina. The Rev. Bob Compere will officiate. Burial will be at the Sunset Slope Addition of the Shelbina Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina.
Mrs. Gerrish was born Feb. 25, 1943, in Shelbina to Joseph Monroe and Frances Lucille Key Million.
She was married to Emery Gerrish on Nov. 18, 1962, in Shelbina. He survives.
Other survivors include three children, Steven Gerrish of Cairo, Lisa Denton of Kirksville and Christopher Gerrish of Shelbina; two grandchildren, Allen and Kayla Denton; two brothers, Laverne Million of Clarence and Harlan Million of Shelbina; and two sisters, Geraldine Simmons and Lillian Smith, both of Shelbina.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Jason Wayne Gerrish; and twin infant brothers.
Mrs. Gerrish was a member of the First Baptist Church in Shelbina where she attended Sunday School, was a member of Lentner Young Homemakers and enjoyed traveling and being with family.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and Shelbina First Baptist Church.

Lona F. McCampbell
Canton
March 12, 1911 - Feb. 6, 2005
CANTON - Lona F. McCampbell, 93, of Canton, died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Canton. Burial will be at Forest Grove Cemetery in Canton.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Davis Funeral Home in Canton, with the family present after 6 p.m.
Mrs. McCampbell was born March 12, 1911, near Knox City to Edwin L. and Margaret Ann Killen Davis.
She married John H. McCampbell on April 25, 1936, in Kirksville. He died May 24, 1989.
Survivors include one daughter, Judy Schmidt and husband, Carl, of Canton; three granddaughters, Lara Kramer and husband, Roland, and Amy Weihl, and husband, Mike, all of St. Louis, and Jennifer Schmidt of Columbia; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray and Ivan Davis; two sisters, Mabel Merrell and Lelah Mauck.

Clyde Johnson
Troy
Dec. 13, 1913 - Feb. 6, 2005
TROY - Clyde Johnson, 91, of Troy, died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005, at his home.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, at McCoy & Blossom Funeral Home. Burial will be at Old Alexandria Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Johnson was born Dec. 13, 1913, in Flannigan Township, Ill., to James and Sarah Garrison Johnson.
He married Fay S. Harvy on May 26, 1942, in St. Louis. She died in 1986.
Survivors include one son, Joe (Florence) Garriott of Troy; one stepson, Bobby Weir of Troy; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Leona (Nate) McClaren of Thompsonville, Ill.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Charlotte Henderson; and three brothers, James, Clarence and Ed; and one sister, Juanita.
Mr. and Mrs. Johnson were owners of a home for mentally disabled boys.

Mary F. Young
Hannibal
Aug. 15, 1952 - Feb. 6, 2002
STE. GENEVIEVE - Mary F. Young, 49, of Hannibal and formerly of Ste. Genevieve, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2002, at her home.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. Richard Thur will officiate. Burial will be at Valle Spring Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Young was born Aug. 15, 1952, in Perryville to Joseph and Dorothy Vessell Weber.
She was married to Stewart A. Young on May 21, 1982. He survives.
Other survivors include one brother, Joseph Weber of Florissant; and two sisters, Beatrice Koller of Ozora and Paulette Hurst of St. Peters.
The family wishes to include as survivors one sister-in-law, Jean Weber; and two brothers-in-law, Donald Koller and Marvin Hurst.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Young and her husband attended Tabernacle of Praise Church in Hannibal.

Donald L. Dietle
Jefferson City
July 7, 1926 - Feb. 6, 2002
JEFFERSON CITY - Donald L. Dietle, 75, of Jefferson City, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at the First Christian Church. The Rev. Lawrence Veatch will officiate. Graveside services, with military honors, will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Fairview Cemetery in Frankford.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Freeman Mortuary in Jefferson City.
Mr. Dietle was born July 7, 1926, in Palmyra to John A. and Ofeleita P. Austin Dietle.
He was married to Juanita L. Murphy on Sept. 22, 1951, in Hannibal. She survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Jana B. Revell of St. Louis and Eden G. Dietle of Jefferson City; two sisters, Linda Ellis of Frankford and Shirley Dierling of Marceline; four brothers, DeWayne Dietle of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., Roy Dietle of Hannibal, Robie Dietle of Frankford and Richard Dietle of New London; and one granddaughter.
Mr. Dietle was a graduate of Frankford High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He had been a resident of the Jefferson City area since 1966 and was employed by the Missouri Highway Department for 42 years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the First Christian Church, American Legion Roscoe Enloe Post 5 and Veterans of Foreign Wars, Roy Sone Post 1003.

Helen G. Shramek
Hawk Point
Oct. 19, 1903 - Feb. 7, 2001
TROY -­ Helen G. Shramek, 97, of Hawk Point, died at 4:10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2001, at Lincoln County Memorial Hospital in Troy.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hawk Point. Fathers Frank Koeninger and John Mayer will officiate. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Hawk Point.
Visitation will be from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a Rosary service at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, and from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at McCoy & Blossom Funeral Home in Troy.
Mrs. Shramek was born Oct. 19, 1903, in St. Louis to Joseph E. and Elizabeth Schober Sedlacek.
She was married to Albert Shramek on Feb. 8, 1936, in St. Louis. He preceded her in death Jan. 31, 2001.
Survivors include two sons, Albert J. Shramek of Hawk Point and Robert Shramek of Silex; one daughter, Barbara Huber of Silex; one sister, Lorraine Angell of St. Louis; 12 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward Sedlacek and Joseph Sedlacek.
Mrs. Shramek was a homemaker and had been a telephone operator at Bell Telephone Co. in St. Louis before her marriage. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hawk Point.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Cemetery in Hawk Point, in care of the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Shramek's grandsons, Ed Huber, Jim Huber, Mike Huber, Mark Huber, Robert Shramek Jr. and Anthony Shramek.

Jack R. Riley
Odessa
March 20, 1951 - Feb. 5, 2001
BOWLING GREEN -­ Jack R. Riley, 49, of Odessa, died Monday, Feb. 5, 2001, at his home.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, at Kirks Funeral Chapel in Bowling Green. The Rev. David King will officiate. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Eolia.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral chapel.
Mr. Riley was born March 20, 1951, in Vandalia to Roscoe and Thelma Brookshire Riley.
He was married to Linda Worthington on Dec. 19, 1971. She survives.
Other survivors include one son, Tracy Riley of Odessa; one daughter, Tina Riley of Odessa; and four sisters, Drenda Curtis of Quincy, Ill., Norma Giger of Mexico, Connie LaForce of Guam and Evalena Duncan of Pacific.
He was preceded in death by one brother, James Edward Roscoe Riley.
Mr. Riley worked as a truck driver at Watkins Trucklines. He entered the U.S. Army in May 1969 for basic training at Fort Leonard Wood and served two tours of duty in Vietnam, then served three tours in Germany as a sergeant. He was discharged Dec. 6, 1982. He enjoyed working on small engines, Volkswagen cars, fishing and playing the guitar.
