Gordon A. Summer
Gordon A. Summers, 88, Pattonsburg, Mo., died June 9, 2001, at Harrison County Community Hospital.
Mr. Summers was born in San Benito, Texas on March 25, 1913, the son of Earl and Stella (Morris) Summers. He married Lucile Plowman on Nov. 11, 1933, and she survives of the home. He worked as a farmer and was also county chairman for the ASCS office in Gallatin for 23 years. He had served as a past president of the Missouri Association of Farmer Elected Committeemen and had served on the MFA Board and MFA Exchange Board, water board, Daviess County Mutual Insurance Company board, and Pattonsburg school board. He was a member of the Western Star Masonic Lodge, Winston, and Esther Chapter #13 of the Order of Eastern Star. He was also a member of the Oak Ridge Christian Church, Pattonsburg, where he taught Sunday school.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandmother who raised him, Martha Morris; a brother, James Earl Summers and his stepmother, Cuma Summers.
In addition to his wife, he leaves two sons, Ray and wife Patsy Summers, Osage Beach, Mo., and Max and wife Nancy Summers, Maitland; one daughter, Beverly McMillen, Independence, Mo.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednewsday, June 13, at the Roberson Funeral Home in Pattonsburg. Burial will be in Pattonsburg Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon on June 12. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Oak Ridge Church and/or Leukemia Society of America in care of the funeral home at P.O. Box 46, Bethany, Mo. 64424.

Wilbur L. McKinney
Wilbur L. McKinney, 70, Princeton, Mo., died June 7, 2001, at the Princeton Care Center.
Mr. McKinney was born in Mercer County on Jan. 22, 1931, the son of Everett and Edna (Melton) McKinney. He had worked as a truck driver for the ITT Continental Baking Company of Kansas City. He married Peggy George on June 28, 1952, and she survives of the home.
His parents, four brothers, Farrell, Forrest, Marvin and Joe McKinney, and one sister, Marie Jeffries, preceded him in death.
In addition to his wife, he leaves two sisters, Arlene Sparks, California, Mo., and Mildred Ryan, Trenton, Mo.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday,June 11, 2001, at the Stoklasa Memorial Chapel in Cainsville. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Cainsville. A family visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday morning at the funeral home.

Richard Earl Morris
Richard Earl Morris, 93, Cameron, Mo., died March 29,2001, at Quail Run Nursing Home in Cameron.
Mr. Morris was born in Ridgeway, Mo. on Aug. 9, 1907, the son of Robert S. and Mary Ellen (Cunniff) Morris. He graduated from Ridgeway High School and married Ruth Marie Parrish on March 26, 1941. They farmed north of Gilman City and after retiring, moved to Gallatin and then Cameron. He was a member of the Kansas City Baptist Temple.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, Larry Dean Morris; sisters Dulcia Morris, Pauline Moss, Glenn Morris and a brother, Guy Morris.
He leaves his wife Ruth of the home; children Judith Ann Vochatzer, Independence, Mo., Robert Morris, Raymore, Mo., Maurice Morris, Canyon Lake, Texas, Norman Gene Morris, Huntsville, Ala., Charles Richard Morris, Olathe, Kan., Cecil Ray Morris, Lee's Summit, Mo.; 17 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 2, 2001, at the Polley-Slaughter-Polley Funeral Home in Ridgeway. Internment will be in the Morris Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Monday morning.

Fern A. Hamilton
Fern A. Hamilton, 83, Bethany, Mo., and formerly of Ridgeway, died August 6, 2001, at an Albany health care center.
Mrs. Hamilton was born in Mercer County, Mo., on Sept. 6, 1917, the daughter of Henrey and Elanore (Robinson) Houk. She married Samuel Jasper Hamilton on Dec. 25, 1935, and he preceded her in death. She worked as a homemaker and was a member of the Church of Christ in Bethany.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Mabel Thrasher and Florence Moss, and three brothers, Willis, Charlie and James Houk.
She leaves a son, Leland Hamilton, Bethany; sister Mina Barth, Bethany; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, at the Ridgeway Cemetery, Ridgeway. Friends may call after 8 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, at the Roberson Funeral Home in Bethany. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday morning.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association in care of the funeral home at P.O. Box 46, Bethany, Mo. 64424.

Lola C. Edwards
Lola C. Edwards, 90, Bethany, Mo., died January 31, 2002, at a Bethany care facility.
Mrs. Edwards was born Sept. 29, 1911, in Harrison County, the daughter of John and Inez (Beeks) Mabbitt. She married Garland Edwards in 1932, and he preceded her in death in 1951. She worked as an operator for the General Telephone Company and retired in 1974. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Bethany.
In addition to her husband, her parents and an infant sister preceded her in death.
She leaves two sons, Kyle and wife Ivadene, Bethany, and Lyle and wife Arloa of Ridgeway, Mo.; a sister, Clella Starr, Santa Ana, Calif.; six grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 13 great, great-grandchildren
Services were held Feb. 3, 2002, at the Roberson Funeral Home in Bethany. Burial was in the Allen Cemetery, Eagleville, Mo.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Allen Cemetery and/or Crestview Activity Fund.

Mary Noreta McEnroe
Mary Noreta McEnroe, 64, Three Rivers, Mich., died January 6, 2002, at her home.
Mrs. McEnroe was born in Martinsville, Mo., on March 18, 1937, the daughter of Wayne and Lucille (Worrall) Clemens. She graduated from the Rochester Business Institute in 1955, and in 1958 she married Wilfred L. McEnroe. She was director of music at the First Presbyterian Church of Three Rivers for over 20 years where she arranged and recorded two albums. She was also credited with starting the bell choir at the church.
Her parents, a brother Alan Wayne and Uncle Albert Worrall preceded her in death.
She leaves her husband of 45 years Will; two sons, Ken McEnroe and wife Jan, and Tim McEnroe; four grandchildren and a niece.
Services were held Jan. 9, 2002, at the First Presbyterian Church, Three Rivers, under the direction of the Hohner Funeral Home. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Three Rivers Area Hospital Hospice.

Lawrence Prewitt
Lawrence Prewitt, 80, Trenton, Mo., died January 31, 2002, at St. Lukes Hospital in Kansas City.
Mr. Prewitt was born in Chillicothe, Mo., on Oct. 3, 1921, the son of Claude and Lessie E. (Caddell) Prewitt. He married Ruth Maxine Cooper and she preceded him in death in 1967. In 1970, he married Carroll Price and she survives of the home. He worked as a salesman for St. Joseph Radio and Supply for 20 years, and was a member of the Tenth Street Baptist Church in Trenton and the Chillicothe Campers.
Also preceding him in death were his parents, three brothers, one sister, one stepson Ron Hamilton, and one step-grandson, Rick Hamilton.
In addition to his wife, he leaves two daughters, Connie Sowder and son-in-law Jerry, and Beverly Stone and son-in-law Darrell, all of Chillicothe; stepson Richard Hamilton and wife Ramona of Bethany; step-daughter-in-law Peggy Hamilton, Ridgeway; one sister, Grace Wells, Clarksville, Texas; 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Burial will be in the Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe. Friends may call from 8 a.m. Monday to the time of the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Tenth Street Baptist Church Building Fund or the Calvary Baptist Church Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home at P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Mo. 64601.
