Carol Ann Hatfield, 60, Grand­view, died May 22, 2006.
She was born July 13, 1945, in Kansas City, the daughter of John Edward and Anna Belle (Brown) Beam.
Memorial services were May 25 at the Church of the Nazarene, Harrisonville.
Arrangements were un­der the direction of Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville.

Alice Loraine Henry
Feb. 24,, 1930 - May 17, 2006
Alice Loraine Henry, 76, Harrisonville, died Wednesday, May 17, 2006, at Cass Medical Center, Harrisonville.
She was born Feb. 24, 1930, in Kansas City, the daughter of Harry Benjamin and Vera Maude (Forester) Steele.
Mrs. Henry was a homemaker and earlier was employed as a waitress for the Harvest House Restaurant in Harrisonville.
She had lived in Garden City before moving to Harrisonville.
She was a mother and grandmother to everyone and enjoyed her family and friends.
Mrs. Henry was baptized at the Coleman Baptist Church near Harrisonville.
Preceding her in death were her parents; a son, Gary Lee Henry; a brother, Herbert Baumhoff; three sisters, Helen Skipper, Grace Rhew and Rosalene Stuckman.
Surviving are two sons, Larry D. Henry and wife, Shirley, Harrisonville, and Dewey Henry, Garden City; two brothers, Robert Steele, Belton, and Eugene Steele, Ft. Worth, Texas; two sisters, Vivian Makowski, Tulsa, Okla., and Irene Mainard, Garden City; seven grandchildren, Diana, Brandon, Lori, Lindsey, Tracey, Heather and Brent; four great-grandchildren with two great-grandsons to be born soon; other relatives and many friends.
Honorary casketbearers were Herb Baumhoff, Phil Baumhoff, Ken Hall, Kevin Mainard and Josh Moennig.
Casketbearers were Larry Butler, Tim Brown, Brandon Henry, Brent Henry, Arnie Loeffel and Brian Turk.
Services were Saturday, May 20, at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, with the Rev. Rusty Miller officiating.
Burial was in the Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville.

Clarence Lloyd Herrell
Nov. 29, 1920 - May 18, 2006
Clarence “Biggy” Lloyd Herrell, 85, Harrisonville, died Thursday, May 18, 2006, at his home.
He was born Nov. 29, 1920, in Everett, the son of James Charles and Gracie (Brewer) Herrell.
Mr. Herrell was a 1939 graduate of Archie High School.
He attended SMS in Springfield for two years.
He had lived in Harrisonville since 1969.
He was a World War II veteran and a Pearl Harbor survivor.
He had been a member of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association since 1965 and was a past state chairman.
He was the current president of the USS Ward Chapter 2, Kansas City.
Mr. Herrell was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans, the American Legion, VFW, the U.S. Air Force Reserve, the American Society for Quality Control and was a member of the Pittsburg, Kansas Board of Education.
He worked for Allied/Bendix Corporation as a special precision inspector, retiring in 1986 after 17 years.
Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Leonard James Herrell and Harold Dean Herrell; and a sister, Mary Christina Herrell Green.
Surviving are his wife, Nona, of the home; two daughters, Charene Hudson, Carthage, and Marsha Gilbert, El Dorado Springs; a son, Jarrett Herrell, Neosho; a stepson, Danny Hicks, Coppell, Texas; two sisters, Bessie Shelton and Nellie Shelton, both of Harrisonville; grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Honorary casketbearers were Jerry Benton, Lloyd Duncan, Edmund Russell, Vernon Smith and George Tryon.
Casketbearers were Bill Gilbert, Gabe Gilbert, Kris Gilbert, Travis Gilbert, Marcus Herrell, Tony Colem an and Kathy Herrell.
Services were May 21, at the Atkinson Chapel, Harrisonville, with the Rev. Wendy Jaine Summers officiating.
Burial was in the Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery in Spring­field under the direction of Atkinson Funeral Home, Har­risonville.
Music was provided by Katie Herrell, vocalist, and Janet Allbaugh, pianist.

David Lee Litchfield
March 18, 1945 - May 20, 2006
David Lee Litchfield, 61, Harrisonville, died Saturday, May 20, 2006, at Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City.
He was born March 18, 1945, in Norfolk, Va., the son of Hoarce Linwood and Pearl (Jones) Litchfield.
He married Freda Marie Norman Sept. 23, 1967, in Freeman.
Mr. Litchfield was employed as an assembler for Ford Motor Company, Claycomo Plant, Claycomo, until his retirement July 1, 2001.
He was a member of UAW Local 249, Claycomo. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He was of the Baptist Faith. He enjoyed his grandchildren, gardening and coaching Little League Baseball.
Mr. Litchfield lived in Kansas City before moving to Harrisonville in 1967.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and his wife, Freda, Nov. 30, 2002.
Surviving are three sons, Gary G. Litchfield and wife, Sheri, Harrisonville, Leslie L. Litchfield, Fort Scott, Kan., and Ronald L. Litchfield, and wife, Stacy, Parkville; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Andrew, Lance, Brandon, Maya and Ella; other relatives and many friends.
Honorary casketbearers were granddaughters, Jennifer, Maya and Ella.
Casketbearers were sons, Gary, Leslie and Ronald; and grandsons, Andrew, Lance and Brandon.
Services were May 23, at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville.
Burial was in the Orient Cemetery under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville. Military services were provided by the Harrisonville Honor Guard.

John Henry Morris
May 22, 2006
John Henry Morris died May 22, 2006. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie May Morris.
Services were May 25, at McGilley & George Funeral Home, Belton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Crossroads Hospice, 8540 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64138-2959.

Norma Jean Norton
Feb. 13, 1931 - May 20, 2006
Norma Jean Norton, 75, Harrisonville, died Saturday, May 20, 2006, at Crown Care Center, Harrisonville.
She was born Feb. 13, 1931, in Salina, Kan., the daughter of Clifford Elmer and Lenora F. (Kelsey) Heidebrecht.
She married Duane Eldon Norton Aug. 25, 1949, in Haven, Kan.
Mrs. Norton was employed as a telephone operator for Consolidated Telephone Com­pany, Haven, until her retirement.
She was a member of Twin Pines Country Club, Harrisonville. She was an avid fisherman and enjoyed oil painting and writing poetry. She moved to Harrisonville in 1970.
Preceding her in death were her parents; two daughters, Kathy Jean Norton in 1951 and Bonnie Franse on Dec. 13, 2002.
Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Duane E. Norton, of the home; a son, Mike Norton, Warsaw; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and other relatives and many friends.
Cremation.
Memorial graveside services were May 24, at Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, with the Rev. Asher McDaniel officiating.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Crossroads Hospice in care of the Dickey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 432, Harrisonville, MO 64701.

Gerald Howard Andersen
Nov. 4, 1921 - March 19, 2004
Gerald Howard Andersen, 82, Harrisonville, died Friday, March 19, 2004, at his daughter’s home in Buffalo.
He was born Nov. 4, 1921, in Kellogg, Iowa, the son of Fred A. and Gladys J. (McBroom) Andersen.
Feb. 22, 1946, he married Beatrice Fletcher.
Mr. Andersen worked for Bendix as a millwright, retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Millwright’s Local Union, #1529, Kansas City. He enjoyed gardening and helping others. He was a World War II Army veteran.
Preceding him in death were his parents; three brothers, Dale, Stanley and Harold Andersen; his wife, Geneva, Aug. 18, 2003.
Surviving are four daughters, Judy Andersen, Harrisonville, Pam Rieschel, Buffalo, Gerri Melichar, Blue Springs, and Patricia Leach, Harrisonville; three sisters, Mildred Chapman, Wash., Joyce Chapman and Louise Bolding, both of Shawnee, Kan.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Honorary pallbearers were Terry Miller, Larry Miller, Jim Bolding, John Bolding, Mike Fletcher, Terry Ply, Gary Chapman and Roger Fletcher.
Pallbearers were Terry Chapman, David Chapman, Tom Bolding, Randy Bolding, Rodney Andersen and Steve Andersen.
Services were March 23, 2004, at the Atkinson Chapel with the Rev. John Murry officiating.
Burial was in the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, under the direction of the Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville.
