Timothy W. Flanery, 43, Camdenton, formerly of Harrisonville, died July 4, 2006.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 8, at the Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. July 8 at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, I-435 and Holmes, Kansas City, under the direction of the Atkinson Funeral Home.

Doris Elaine (Park) Grainger
Sept. 9, 1938 - June 30, 2006
Doris Elaine (Park) Grainger, 67, Harrisonville, died Friday, June 30, 2006.
She was born Sept. 9, 1938, in Harrisonville, the daughter of Ernest Elmer and Mary Virginia (Wallace) Park.
She spent five years living in trailers with her parents following pipeline work from Texas.
She had worked as a financial planning for Primerica and enjoyed helping young families plan for their future. She and her husband were active in the International Heifer Project fighting against world hunger.
Mrs. Grainger had been a breast cancer survivor since 1968, supported other women in Lamaze instruction and counseled other women dealing with breast cancer and mastectomy.
Mr. Grainger died in 1994 with Alzheimer’s and she became an avid supporter of Alzheimer’s research and supported other families dealing with the disease.
Mrs. Grainger was a member of the Harrisonville United Methodist Church. During the last 10 years she dedicated much of her life to the care of her parents.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, Jim.
Surviving are her sons, Bradley and David Grainger; sisters, Karen Eoriatti and Nancy Park; four grandchildren, Brittany, Jordan, Stephen and Jessica; and many other relatives and friends.
Services were July 7 at the United Methodist Church, Harrisonville, with the Rev. Asher McDaniel officiating.
Inurnment was in the Freeman Cemetery in Freeman under the direction of the Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville.

Bessie Frances Highley
Feb. 12, 1927 - June 25, 2006
Bessie Frances Highley, 79, Archie, died Sunday, June 25, 2006, at Cass Medical Center, Harrisonville.
She was born Feb. 12, 1927, in Archie, the daughter of Frank Weaver and Bessie Belle (Stevens) Barnard.
Aug. 21, 1942, she married Robert Lonnie “Jack” Highley in Mt. Vernon.
Mrs. Highley was a homemaker and a Wal-Mart greeter for seven years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Archie, and had been attending the Everett Community Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and was active in vacation Bible school.
She was a 1943 graduate of Archie High School and was a lifelong Archie area resident. She loved her garden and flowers and was known by her family and friends as “Aunt Minnie.”
Preceding her in death was her husband, Jack Highley, Dec. 27, 2000.
Surviving are a daughter, Sheryl S. Highley, Archie; two sisters-in-law, Uva Mae Highley, Harrisonville, and Bonnie Highley, Adrian; two grandchildren, Frank D. and Jessica S.; a cousin, Elizabeth New, Drexel; and other relatives and many friends.
Honorary casket bearers were Dr. Kenneth Highley, Robert W. Highley, Adrian Humphries, Frank Osborn and Donald Shipley
Casket bearers were Larry L. Highley, Randy L. Highley, Roger Highley, Ronald J. Highley, Terry J. Highley and Stacy Troby.
Services were June 29 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, with the Rev. Larry Hess officiating. Music was provided by Misti Gile, soloist.
Burial was in Sharon Cemetery near Drexel, under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville.

Monica Ann Kawallek
July 4, 2006
Monica Ann Kawallek, 70, Harrisonville, died Tuesday, July 4, 2006, at the Crown Care Center, Harrisonville.
Graveside service and interment will be 11 a.m. July 8 at the Orient Cemetery in Harrisonville.
The family will receive friends from 10 until 10:45 a.m. July 8 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Crossroads Hospice.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville.

Terry Ray Maring
Nov. 30, 1951 - July 1, 2006
Terry Ray Maring, 54, Archie, died July 1, 2006. He was born Nov. 30, 1951, in Higginsville, the son of Clifford and Ruth (Luetjen) Maring.
Inurnment was in the Higginsville Cemetery, Higginsville, under the direction of the Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville.

Myrtle Rosetta Workman
Feb. 17, 1904 - June 28, 2006
Myrtle R. Workman, 102, Ar­chie, died June 28, 2006, at Bates County Memorial Hos­pital, Butler. Myrtle was born Feb. 17, 1904, in La Due, the daughter of Rufus Andrew and Tressie Bell (Holmes) O’Dell.
Services were July 1 at the Atkinson Chapel, with burial in Mount Ogden Cemetery, Ogden, Utah, under the direction of the Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville.

Elizabeth Grace Borg
April 15, 1930 - July 9, 2006
Elizabeth Grace Borg, 76, died July 9, 2006. She was born April 15, 1930, in Emporia, Kan., the daughter of Fred Henry Smith and Sarah Grace Cox.
Services were July 15 at Cullen Funeral Home with burial in the Brooking Cemetery under the direction of the Cullen Funeral Home, Raymore.

Timothy W. Flanery
May 1, 1963 - July 4, 2006
Timothy Wayne Flanery, 43, Camdenton, formerly of Harrisonville, died Tuesday, July 4, 2006, at his home.
He was born May 1, 1963, in Kansas City, the son of Larry Wayne and Leah Rebekah (Walberg) Flanery.
Mr. Flanery lived in Harrisonville most of his life, graduating from Harrisonville High School in 1981.
He worked as a realtor for Re/Max Realty and had previously worked for GMAC Realty, both in Camdenton, and as a service manager at G.R. Milner Ford, where he worked for more than 20 years.
Mr. Flanery also managed the trap and skeet range in Harrisonville. He was a member of the National Skeet Shooters Association.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents; his father, Larry, Oct. 27, 2004; and a brother, Kyle, April 20, 1985.
Surviving are a son, Taylor Flanery, Archie; his mother, Leah Flanery, Butler; a sister, Laura Wheeldon, Garden City; a niece; two nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Casket bearers were David Cummings, Bill Wernex, David Bond, Jay Flanery, Larry Duncan and Steve Flanery.
Graveside services and burial were July 8, at Mount Moriah Cemetery, Kansas City, with the Rev. Travis James officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville.

Deloris J. Johnson
May 5, 1930 - July 10, 2006
Deloris Jean Pettit Johnson, 76, Harrisonville, died July 10, 2006. She was born May 5, 1930, in Clinton, the daughter of Fred and Evelyn Lena (Parks) Cook.
Services were July 14 at the Atkinson Chapel, with burial in the Wills Cemetery, Peculiar, under the direction of Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville.
