Elizabeth A. Allen
Elizabeth Ann (Tanner) Allen, formerly of Perryville, died Wednesday, June 13, 2001 at Barnesville Hospital in Barnesville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Edward Wood and Anna (Richards) Butler Tanner. She was married to Donald Miller, who preceded her in death. She was also married to William Allen, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Shaw of Woodsfield, Ohio; one step daughter, Patricia Heaps of Perryville; nine grandchildren; nine step grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, three sisters, and one brother.
Mrs. Allen was a housekeeper at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau. He was 82.
He was born July 2, 1919 in Perryville, the son of the late Dr. John E. and Marie (Dorrenbach) Bey. He was married Feb. 3, 1951 in St. Louis, to Shirley C. "Shea" (Kupferer) Bey, who survives in Perryville.
Other survivors include one daughter, Carolyn M. Pontillas of Perryville; one son, John Bey of Cape Girardeau; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Albert Bey and Felix Bey; and two sisters, Constance Yarling and Gertrude Bey.
Dr. Bey graduated from Southeast Washington University Dental School in 1945. He served as a captain with the Army Dental Corps during his active duty with the United States Army at Fort Leonard Wood. He had a dental practice for 43 years until his retirement in 1988. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and served on the St. Vincent de Paul Parish Council. He was a member of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, the Lion's Club, Southeast Missouri Dental Association, the American College of Dentistry, and the American Legion.
The family prefers memorials to be made to St. Vincent de Paul Parish, the American Heart Association, or the American Cancer Society.
The funeral Mass was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Kevin P. Fausz, C.M. officiating. Burial was in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville provided the arrangements.

Thelma S. Noennig
Thelma S. (Lottes) Noennig, formerly of Hamburg, Minn., died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002 at the Castle Ridge Manor in Eden Prairie. She was 88.
She was born June 6, 1913 in Altenburg, the daughter of the late E.M. and Phoebe (Estel) Lottes. She was married June 20, 1937 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg, to M.F. Noennig, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Judith (Richard) Lindemeier of Decatur, Ill.; two sons, Dr. John (Janet) Noennig of Rochester, Minn., and Dr. David (Kay) Noennig of Woodbury, Minn.; nine grandchildren, Kristin (Charles) Wesser, Julie (Robert) Quick, Anne (Paul) Osborne, Joel (Laurie) Noennig, Kathy (Mark) Hueser, Melissa (Karl) Pinske, Joy Noennig, Paul (Kim) Noennig, and Peter Noennig; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister, Virginia Walton.
Mrs. Noennig was a well-known piano instructor in the Hamburg, Norwood Young American and Glencoe area. She was baptized and confirmed at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg. A graduate of Jackson High School in Jackson, Thelma received her formal music training from the Chicago Conservatory of Music.
In 1942 her and her husband moved to Hamburg, Minn., where her husband was the principal of the Emanuel Lutheran School. She also assisted her husband with the organ and choir at Emanuel Lutheran Church during their many years of service. Thelma was a career-long member and former officer of the Georgia Anne (Hensley) Brewer, who preceded him in death May 18, 1982. He then was married Jan. 15, 1985 to Rita (Eckenfels) Brewer, who survives in Carbondale, Ill.
Other survivors include three sisters and two brothers, Albert J. Brewer and Dennis C. Brewer, both of Perryville; Dorothy A. Uding of Homosassa Springs, Fla.; Sister Helen Brewer D.C. of Austin, Calif.; Fleet Reserve Association at Port Hueneme, Calif.; and a Knights of Columbus Third Degree in Perryville.
The family prefers memorials to be made to St. Vincent Endowment Fund.
The funeral Mass was held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 25 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville with the Rev. Joe Williams C.M. officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Earl E. Coffey
Earl E. Coffey of Paris, Tenn., died Sunday, June 2, 2002 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Ky. He was 81.
He was born March 8, 1921 in McBride, the son of the late Jesse C. and Anna A. (Modde) Coffey. He was married June 14, 1947 to Doris Marie (Emmendorfer) Coffey, who survives in Paris, Tenn.
Other survivors include one daughter, Kim Marie (Chris) Bowen of Mooresville, N.C.; two sons, Craig Coffey of Tappahannock, Va., and Ray (Darlene) Coffey of Gilbertsville, Ky.; two sisters, Alema Mahiger and Lee Fuerst, both of St. Louis; one brother, Stanley Coffey of Perryville; three grandchildren, Christina Coffey of Manassas, Va., and Kelly and Mark Bowen, both of Mooresville.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Edwin Coffey and Paul Coffey.
Mr. Coffey was a World War II U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He retired after 39 years as a quality assurance manager with Emerson Electric Company in St. Louis. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, the Elks Lodge, Rotary Club, and Knights of Columbus, all in Paris, Tenn.
The funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 5 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Paris, Tenn., with the Rev. Victor Ciaramitaro officiating. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery in Paris, Tenn.

Ethel Baer
Ethel C. (Hoffman) Baer of Perryville, died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2002 at Perry County Nursing Home in Perryville. She was 91.
She was born June 6, 1911 in Perry County, the daughter of the late Leon and Mary (Sutterer) Hoffman. She was married April 5, 1932 in Perryville, to Henry Baer, who preceded her in death April 22, 1981.
Survivors include one daughter, Virginia (Roy) Lohmann of Perryville; two sisters, Lucille Hayden and Eileen Cattoor, both of Perryville; four grandchildren, Tina (Todd) Robinson, Victoria Lohmann, Todd (Cindy) Lohmann, and Jennifer (Paul) Fulmer; and five great-grandchildren, Alex and Abby Robinson, Kersten and Joshua Fulmer, and Grace Lohmann.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, two sisters, and one great-granddaughter, Shelby Lynn Fulmer.
Mrs. Baer was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and the Ladies Sodality, both in Perryville.
The family prefers memorials to be made to Masses or the St. Vincent de Paul Capital Campaign.
The funeral Mass was held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, with the Rev. Kevin P. Fausz, C.M. officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
