Wilma Clytee Brock, 74, of Canton died Feb. 9, 2004, at the Madison County Nursing Home in Canton.
Funeral services were held Feb. 11 at Canton Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Lone Pine Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include: her son, Dwight Brock of Carthage; daughters, Faye Halverson of Shreveport, La., and Penny Brock of Vinton, La.; sister, Christine McDaniel of Flora; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Ella M. Bates
Forest
Ella M. Bates, 77, of Forest, formerly of Canton, died Feb. 12, 2004, at Central Michigan, Edna Wiltcher of Canton, Peggy O'Quinn of Prentiss, Loretta Lawrence of Pearl, Debbie Liles of Canton and Christina Stroud of Harperville; brother, George Allen of Polkville; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Sarah Lewis Simpson
Madison
Sarah Lewis Simpson, 70, of Madison died Feb. 13, 2004, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland.
A memorial service was held Feb. 15 in the Flora Cemetery.
Survivors include: her daughters, Pamela Gerity and husband Thomas C. of Ridgeland, Saralyn Quinn and husband Jim of Madison; sons, Stanley F. Simpson and wife Connie of Flora, and Glen L. Simpson of Ridgeland; sister, Betty Townsend and husband Bob of Madison; granddaughters, Sydney and Andie Simpson, both of Flora.
Memorials may be made to the Flora United Methodist Church Building Fund.

Clemma 'Jackie' Byrd
Ridgeland
Clemma "Jackie" Byrd, 89, of Ridgeland died Jan. 25, 2004, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland.
Funeral services were held Jan. 28 at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel in Ridgeland with burial in Parkway Memorial Cemetery.
Survivors include: her son, Larry Spencer of Madison; granddaughter, Olivia Spencer of Madison; sister, Helen Norman of Atlanta; stepchildren, Betty Hart and Randi Byrd, both of Biloxi; step-granddaughter, Tiffany Hickman of Biloxi, step-great-granddaughters, Sydne Hickman and Jaden Hickman, both of Biloxi.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Ministries Inc., 450 Towne Center Blvd., Ridgeland MS 39157.

Beverly P. Plunkett
Jackson
Beverly P. Plunkett, 63, of Jackson died Jan. 27, 2004, at St. Dominic/Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were held Jan. 30 at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel in Ridgeland with burial in Glenwood Cemetery.
Survivors include: her sons, Bruce Plunkett and wife Joyce of Madison, and Charles Plunkett and wife Shannon of Mobile, Ala.; grandchildren, Mary Mississippi Down Syndrome Society, P.O. Box 2189, Brandon MS 39043-2189.

Roby Whittington
Dyer, Ind.
Roby Whittington, 71, of Dyer, Ind., formerly of Canton, died Jan. 31, 2004, at his home.
Funeral services were held Feb. 14 at Farmhaven Church of Christ Holiness Church in Canton with burial in Allen Williams Memorial Garden.
Survivors include: his wife of 40 years, Betty Whittington of Dyer, Ind.; daughter, Nina Simone Caudle and husband Anthony of West Bloomfield, Mich.; sons, Roby W. Whittington Jr. of Gary, Ind., Charles C. Whittington and Martin L. Whittington, both of Chicago; his mother, Nettie Whittington of Canton; sisters, Flossie Davis, Alva Wilder and Mary Hamer and husband Charles, all of Gary, Ind., Helen Pegues and husband Herman of Chicago, and Marva Jean Hill and husband Glake of Canton; brothers, Matthew Whittington and wife Sylvia of Gary, Ind., Allie Whittington and wife Odessa of St. Louis, Mo., and Carl Whittington and wife Eunice of Canton; three grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Lester "Les" Earl White, 42, of Camden died Feb. 1, 2004, at his home.
Funeral services were held Feb. 7 at Greater Murphy Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church in Camden with burial in the church cemetery.
Survivors include: his children, Jasmine White of Chicago and Arkinnis Chavez of Camden; his mother, Eunice White of Camen; sisters, Johnnye Bass and husband Charlse of Bellwood, Ill., Ida Howard and husband James, Helen Texas, and Pricilla Singleton of Ridgeland; brothers, Daniel White and wife Debra, Milton White and wife Jennifer of Skokie, Ill., Walter Green wood of Detroit and Dennis Edwards of Camden; and grandmothers, Maggie Buckley of Canton and Polly White of Camden.

Mary Hosford Beckham

Mary Hosford Beckham, 80, of Madison died Feb. 2, 2004, at the Nichols Center in Madison.
Graveside services were Feb. 3 in Natchez Trace Memorial Park in Madison.
Survivors include: her husband, Harold Beckham of Madison; son, Dr. Robert L. Hosford of Knoxville, Tenn.; stepdaughter, Cindy Kabelac of Madison; sisters, Betty Marler and Ann Knox of Calif.; grandchildren, Robert L. Hosford III of Fort Worth, Texas, Doug Hosford of Birmingham, Ala., Laura Kabelac and Allison Kabelac of Madison; great-grandsons, Jack Hosford and Walker Hosford of Birmingham.
