James Bryan Campbell
Jackson
James Bryan Campbell, 85, of Jackson died Nov. 16, 2003, at his home.
Services were held Nov. 18 at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel in Ridgeland.
Survivors include: his wife of 66 years, Lucille Benton Campbell of Jackson; son, James Benton Campbell and wife Georgette of Longview, Texas; daughter, Linda Campbell McGuire and husband David of Madison; grandchildren, Jimmy Campbell of Jackson, Connie Gadt of Longview, Texas, Katie Campbell of Dallas, Texas, and John Bryan Campbell of Longview; great-grandchildren, Casey and Devon Campbell of Jackson and Carmen Gadt of Longview; sister, Kate Lockwood of Las Vegas, Nev.; and brother, Robert W. Campbell of Brandon.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church in Ridgeland.

James O. 'Jim' Rankin Jr.
Flora
James O. "Jim" Rankin Jr., 57, of Flora died Nov. 17, 2003, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
Funeral services were held Nov. 19 at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel in Ridgeland with burial in Bethel Cemetery near Flora.
Survivors include: his wife of 40 years, Jackie Sigrest Rankin of Flora; two sons, James J. "Jeff" Rankin of Madison, Jason Scott Rankin and wife Suzanne of Flora; his daughter, Jennifer Rankin Blackwell of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Ashley and Aimee Rankin, Jase and Kathryn Rankin, Lane Skinner, Hannah Grace Ellis and Jennifer Carroll Blackwell; sister, Mrs. T.J. "Patricia Ann" Hopson of Flora; and nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Flora Youth, or the Tri-County Educational Foundation of Flora.

Robert H. Degge
Canton
Robert H. Degge, 79, of Canton died Nov. 18, 2003, at the Jackson V.A. Medical Center.
Graveside services were held Nov. 21 in Burke Cemetery in Fort Worth, Texas.
Survivors include: his daughter, Betty D. Vaughan of Canton; sister, Willie Mae Hamilton of Arlington, Texas; and grandchildren, Robert Anderson Vaughan of Canton and Amy Elizabeth Vaughan of Miami Beach, Fla.
Memorials may be made to the Texas Masonic Home and School.

Alberta Robinson Roberts
Chicago
Alberta Robinson Roberts, 100, of Chicago, a former Canton resident, died Oct. 23, 2003, at Kindred Hospital in Chicago.
Funeral services were held Nov. 1 at Zion Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church in Canton with burial in the church cemetery.
Survivors include: her children, William Roberts and wife Louvenia, Vashtella Friley, Lou Ellen McSwain and husband Eddie, and Eva Delores Roberts, all of Chicago; sister, Josephine Trotter of Canton; brothers, Tommie Robinson and wife Shirley of Canton, and Henry Robinson and wife Rose of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; sisters-in-law, Lucille R. Williams of Canton and Joyce Robinson of Flint, Mich.; stepdaughter, Ethel Kemp of Chicago; and eight grandchildren, six step grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

S. Leon Barton
Pickens
S. Leon BArton, 57, of Pickens died Oct. 24, 2003, at his home.
Funeral services were held Nov. 1 at Big Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Vaughan with burial in Exum Cemetery in Vaughan.
Survivors include: his wife, Pinkie Barton of Pickens; daughters, Leona Southern and Renata Southern of Pickens, and Shante' Strawber and husband Damien of Houston,Texas; sons, Leon Morton of Jackson and Quincee Barton of Pickens; sisters, Claudia Knight and Helen Barton of Vaughan; and brothers, L.J. Barton, Jimmy Barton and wife Jimmy, Willie Roy Barton and wife Rosetta, all of Vaughan.

Hardy Brown Renfroe
Canton
Hardy Brown Renfroe, 80, of Canton died Oct. 28, 2003 at the G.V. "Sonny" Montgomery Veterans Medical Center in Jackson.
Funeral services were held Oct. 31 at the Canton Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Lottville Cemetery in Farmhaven.
Survivors include: his wife, Delma C. Renfroe of Canton; son, Tommy Joe Renfroe of Pearl; daughters, Sandra F. Reeves of Houston,Texas, and Shirley R. Marshall of Madison; brothers, Honor Renfroe of New Iberia, La., Melvin Renfroe of Amory, Robert Renfroe Jr. of Jackson and Claude Renfroe of Clinton; sister, Audrey Bennett of Farmhaven; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Ruth Jackson Burns, 85, of Madison died Oct. 31, 2003, at St. Dominic/Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were held Nov. 3 at Natchez Trace Funeral Home Chapel in Madison with burial in Poplar Creek Nations Cemetery in Kilmichael.
Survivors include: her daughter, Geraldine Creekmore and husband Arnold of Somerset, Ky.; her son, Jerry Burns and wife Ann of Brandon; sisters, Opal Cardoza of Tulare, Calif., and Doris Anders of Visalia, Calif.; four grandchildren, Mark Burns, Lisa Hays, Rhonda VanHook and Janet Berberich; and six great-grandsons.

Bettye 'Toni' Monday

Bettye "Toni" Monday, 70, of Jackson, formerly of Ridgeland, died Oct. 21, 2003, at St. Dominic/Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were held Oct. 25 at Natchez Trace Funeral Home Chapel in Madison with burial in Jessamine Cemetery in Ridgeland.
Survivors include: her son, Buddy Thompson of Lumberton; sister, Marie "Petey" Gainer of New Market, N.H.; and four grandchildren, Whitney, Kelli, Parker and Erin Thompson.
