Stephen J. Rimmer
Madison
Stephen J. Rimmer, 77, of Madison, died Nov. 19 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland.
Funeral services were held Nov. 26 at Grace Episcopal Church in Canton with burial in Canton Cemetery.
A native of Hammond,La., Rimmer lived most of his life in Canton and moved to Madison 13 year ago. He was a U.S. Marine veteran of World War II, having served at Iwo Jima. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart, was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, York Rite Masons, Disabled American Veterans, Marine Corps League and Grace Episcopal Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Gladys McHan Rimmer of Madison; and cousins, Betty Ann "Boopie" Winstead of Canton and Johnny Rimmer of Dallas, Mississippi State University and received her license as a certified public accountant in 1985. She was employed with W.W. Bailey Real Estate from 1984 until she retired due to illness in 2001.
Survivors include: her daughter, Laura Elizabeth Valentine; parents, Fred and Virginia Duggan Cowden of Amory; brother, Fred Lamont Cowden of Louisville, Ky.; cousin, Sharon McClanahan of Jackson and a host of extended family and friends.
Memorials may be made to the Middle Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
Funeral services were held Nov. 5 at Temple of Praise Church of God in Christ in Canton with burial in St. Mark Church of God in Christ Cemetery in Sharon.
Mrs. Bingmon received a Certified Nursing Assistant Certification from the Allied Nursing Academy. She enjoyed working with geriatric patients and caring for those in the private home setting. She attended the Church of Christ the Divine in St. Louis, Mo. In 1986, she transferred her membership to the Temple of Praise Church of God in Christ in Canton, where she served as a mother of the church, and as the sunday school treasurer.
Survivors include: her cousins and caretakers, the Rev. Carl and Savannah Fleming of Canton; great-niece and financial provider, Sylvia Douglas; her children, William Russell Cox an wife Joyce of Southern Calif., Tamela Cox of Little Rock, Ark., Andrew, Andrea, Adrian, Andre and Anthony Bingmon, Antuan and Annette Brown, all of Cordova, Ala.; six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; great-nephew Robert Douglas and other relatives and friends.

LaTrina Ross
Ridgeland
Prophetess LaTrina Daughtrey Ross, 27, of Ridgeland, died Oct. 31, 2004, at her home.
Funeral services were held Nov. 4 at Harvey Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Canton with burial in Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Canton.
Mrs. Ross was a 1995 graduate of Canton High School. She attended Antonelli College in Jackson and the Modeling/Acting School in Baton Rouge, La. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she served as choir director. She was also a member of the Voices of Faith Ministries and the Canton Gospel Soul Children Inc. She was employed as a bus driver with First Student.
Survivors include: her husband, Minister Romandia Ross of Ridgeland; her daughters, Myeisha Maryuana and Ramona Yamere Montrane Ross of Ridgeland; her mother, Orssi Lene Daughtrey of Canton; father, Robert Daughtrey Sr. of Canton; goddaughter, A'Miracle Gordon and husband Corkeke of Jackson; brothers, Authur Lee Daughtrey and wife Annette, Robert Daughtrey Jr., Tony Daughtrey and wife Demetria, Minister James Daughtrey and wife, David T. Daughtrey of Canton, Cleo Daughtrey and wife Liz of Cleveland, Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
Funeral services were held Nov. 6 at Stranger's Home Missionary Baptist Church in Pickens with burial in the Thomas Cemetery in Vaughan.
Mrs. Thomas attended Boyd School in Yazoo County.
Survivors include: her daughter, Dorothy Hill and husband Floyd of Pickens; grandchildren, Rhonda Johnson and husband Deeandre of Durant, Ronald Keith Moore and wife Lashanda, Nikki Jefferson and Artha Moore, all of Pickens; sisters, Mary Lee Wilson of Jackson and Ruby Shanklin of St. Louis, Mo.; brother, Issac Ingram of Los Angeles, Mississippi in 1957, settling in Jackson. He began a career with Vickers International, working as a machinist until his retirement in 1989.
Survivors include: his wife, Lena Nettles Ford of Ridgeland; his daughter, Debra Boutwell and husband Carl of Brandon; grandsons, Grey and Benjamin Boutwell, both of Brandon; sisters, Billie Lashley, Bobbie McKee, Ida Byrd, all of Philadelphia, Catherine Rist of Milton, Fla.; and brother, Jack Ford of Ridgeland.
Memorials may be made to the Trace Ridge Baptist Church, P.O. Box 2726, Ridgeland MS 39157; Hospice Ministries, 450 Towne Center Blvd., Ridgeland MS 39157; the American Cancer Society or Gideons International.

Leonard L. Hopson
Pearl
Leonard L.Hopson, 77, of Pearl, died Oct. 26, 2004, at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.
Funeral services were held Oct. 29 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Pearl with burial in Flora Cemetery.
Mr. Hopson attended the Mississippi Industries for the Blind.
Survivors include: his brother, Roy E. "Hoppy" Hopson of Union Mills, N.C.; sisters, Daisy Harrell of Durant, Dorothy Russell of Brandon, Mary Robinson and Alline Crowder, both of Pearl, Betty Atkins of Bolton, Nancy Thompson of Hattiesburg and Billie Logan of Raymond; and numerous nieces and nephews.
