ELLENBORO - Mrs. Syble "Granny Bryan" Holland Bradley, 62, of 180 Tiney Road, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2000, at her home.
A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late O.D. and Grace Lowery Holland. She was a homemaker and a member of Piney Mountain Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Lovingood of Ellenboro; four sons, Dennis Bradley of Rutherfordton, Bryan Bradley of Spindale, Anthony Bradley and Bruce Bradley, both of Bostic; two brothers, David Holland and Alvin Holland, both of Henrietta; four sisters, Tina Atchley of Spindale, Juanita Martin of Bostic, Nancy Hollifield of Forest City and Lena Ledford of Ellenboro; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, Forest City, with the Rev. Neil Murray officiating.
Burial will follow at Walls Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at McKinney-Landreth Funeral Home.

Rosie McClain
KINGS MOUNTAIN - Mrs. Rosie Lee McClain, of 160 Ebenezer Road, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, at Carolinas Medical Center.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Withrow's Funeral Home.

Ocie Bridges
SHELBY - Mrs. Ocie Pauline Bridges, 82, of Shelby, died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2000, at White Oak Manor, Shelby.
A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Daisy Etta Davis. She was a homemaker and a member of Sandy Plains Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Herman Bridges; a brother, Horace Davis; and two sisters, Ethel Mae Hollifield and Lucille Patterson.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Marie and David Cole of Forest City; four brothers, Clifford Davis and J.D. Davis, both of Shelby, Landice Davis of Forest City and Hubert Davis of Lattimore; six sisters, Viola Hawkins of Rutherfordton, Louise Jones of Forest City, Valerie Mauney of Crouse, Irene Brown of Spartanburg, S.C., Katherine Nolan of Shelby and Etta Marie Green of Forest City; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be today at 4 p.m. at Sandy Plains Cemetery with the Rev. Donald McSwain officiating. The family will receive friends today from 2 to 3 at Lutz-Austell Funeral Home.

Lilly Bradley
FOREST CITY - Mrs. Lilly Lytle Bradley, 95, of 312 E. Main St., died Friday, Oct. 6, 2000, at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte.
The funeral will be Sunday at 4 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Dr. Barry K. Keys officiating. Burial will follow at Cool Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends an hour prior to the funeral at the church.
Padgett & King Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Harriett Allen
CHERRYVILLE - Mrs. Harriett Goodwin Allen, 90, of Cherryville, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, at Carolina Care Center.
A native of Anson County, she was the daughter of the late James Edgar and Hattie Camilla Jarman Goodwin. She was a dental assistant to Dr. John Yelton, was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church, a teacher of the Eunice Sunday School Class and Keenagers Choir.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, O.P. Allen; a daughter, Peggy Ann Whisnant; a stepson, Boyd Allen.
She is survived by two daughters and two sons-in-law, Cornelia and Max L. Turner of Shelby and Betsy Fitch of Huntersville and James Lee Whisnant; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be Sunday at 4 p.m. at Elizabeth Baptist Church with the Revs. Stan Webb, Jeff Brendle and Terry Jordan officiating.
The family will receive friends after the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, P.O. Box 779, Minneapolis, MN 55440.
Lutz-Austell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Gregory McDonald
CHERRYVILLE - Mr. Gregory Brent McDonald, 53, of 411 N. Pine St., died Friday, Oct. 6, 2000, at Integrated Health Services, Charlotte.
A graveside service will be today at 4 p.m. at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Carroll Henderson officiating.
The family will receive friends today from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Harris Funeral Home and at other times at the home of a daughter, Kim Griffin, 310 Bell Road, Kings Mountain.

Evelyn Bridges
NEBO - Mrs. Evelyn C. Bridges, 81, of Nebo, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2000, at McDowell Nursing Center.
A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late John and Charlotte Lattimore Canipe. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Sinai Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Carl Bridges.
She is survived by two sons, Bill Bridges and Donald Bridges, both of Shelby; three daughters, Rachel Melton of Ellenboro and Sarah Bridges and Teresa Bridges, both of Gastonia; a sister, Mary Mosteller of Hickory; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Mount Sinai Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Chris Wray officiating.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:30 to 2 p.m. at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and at other times will be at the home of Donald Bridges, 1211 Scenic Drive, Shelby.
Memorials may be made to Mount Sinai Baptist Church, 1227 Mount Sinai Church Road, Shelby, NC 28152.

Shirley Byrd
RUTHERFORDTON - Mrs. Shirley Jo Mosse Byrd, 69, of 191 Southers Road, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2000, at her home.
The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Crowe Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Ronnie Robbins and Carol Moffitt officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Suzy Smith
SHELBY - Miss Suzy Smith, 56, of 707 N. Lafayette St., died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, at Carolinas Medical Center.
A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Torrence and Claudia Lucille Martin Smith. She was employed at Goodwill Industries Store and was a member of First Baptist Church.
She is survived by six aunts and two uncles, Mary Sue Olsen, Doris and Jeff Connor, Margaret Spencer, Delores Hamrick and Marie and Otha Collins, all of Shelby, and Dee Martin of Knoxville, Tenn.
A graveside service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Sunset Cemetery with Dr. Robert Canoy officiating.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6:30 to 8 at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Nettie Jarrell
VALE - Mrs. Nettie Tessener Jarrell, 70, of 708 Tower Road, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2000, at her home.
The funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Highland Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Brian Williams officiating.
The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service.
Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Lincolnton.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Carpenter's Funeral Home.

Harriett Allen
CHERRYVILLE - Mrs. Harriett Goodwin Allen, 90, of Cherryville, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, at Carolina Care Center.

She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Cornelia and Max L. Turner of Shelby and Betsy Fitch of Huntersville; a stepdaughter, Helen Canipe; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be today at 4 p.m. at Elizabeth Baptist Church with the Revs. Stan Webb, Jeff Brendle, Neal Efird and Terry Jordan officiating.
The family will receive friends after the service at the church.

Ronald Yelton
CHARLOTTE - Mr. Ronald Charles Yelton, 49, of 308 Queens Road, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2000, at Presbyterian Hospital.
The funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Adaville Baptist Church with the Rev. James Daves officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends following the service.

Carolyn Lowe Stone
KINGS MOUNTAIN - Mrs. Carolyn Lowe Stone, 57, of 907 Blalock Drive, died Oct. 6, 2000, at her home.
A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Nora Hoyle Lowe. She retired from Eaton Corp., Grover, after 24 years of service in quality control. She was a member of Christian Freedom Baptist Church in Kings Mountain.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Stone, and a brother, Melvin Lowe. She was also the sister of the late Michael Lowe.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Gina Stone and Tim Bell of Kings Mountain and Lindy Stone and Harlan Haynes of Bessemer City; a sister, Becky Shockley of Kings Mountain; five grandchildren, Gia S. Bell, Dustin Stone, Timmy Bell, Josh Bell and Nicholas Bell; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary and Merle Valentine of Kings Mountain.
The funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Christian Freedom Baptist Church in Kings Mountain with the Rev. Mike Chambers officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain Rest Cemetery.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at Harris Funeral Home in Kings Mountain and at other times at the home, 907 Blalock Drive, Kings Mountain.

Rosie McClain
KINGS MOUNTAIN - Mrs. Rosie Wilson McClain, 61, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000 at Carolinas Medical Center.
Born in Cherokee County, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Simon Frank and Racheal White Wilson. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Paul McClain; two sons and daughters-in-law, Simon and Phyllis McClain of Grover and Thomas and Linda McClain of Kings Mountain; a daughter, Deborah McClain of Kings Mountain; four grandchildren, Latasha McClain, Thomas McClain II, Terrance "T.J." McClain, Lakeshia McClain and Jeremiah McClain; three great-grandchildren, Jazmine McClain, Jhani McClain and Destinee McClain; eight brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Rebecca Wilson of Lincolnton, Douglas and Virginia Wilson, George Edward and Princess Wilson, Walter and Krystal Wilson, Scott Odell Wilson, Timothy and Toni Wilson, all of Kings Mountain, James and Peggy Wilson of Gastonia, Alonzo and Wanda Wilson of Grover; seven sisters and brothers-in-law, Aillean McClain of Cherryville, Laura Rebecca and Haywood Woods of Lincolnton, Paulette and Harvey Davis and Linda and Michael Bridgess, all of Kings Mountain, Bonnie and Freddie Bryson of Hickory and Mary Helen and Milo Dawkins and Christine Wilson, all of Shelby; and many nephews and nieces.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church with the Rev. E. Simon III officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday night from 7 to 8 at the church.
Withrow's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Florence Sanders
LAWNDALE - Mrs. Florence L. Goins Sanders, 78, of 211 West Main St., died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2000, at her home.
Born Feb. 5, 1922, in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Issac Allen and Fannie Louise Lail Goins. She was a homemaker and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church of Shelby.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Clinton Sanders; seven brothers, Guy Goins, Paul Goins, John Calvin Goins, Everette Goins, Roland Goins, Avery Goins and James Goins; and four sisters, Cindy Blackwell, Mary Weathers, Zeal Towery and Essie Mae Sparks.
She is survived by four sons and two daughters-in-law, Bobby and Vergie Sanders of Fallston, Kemp G. "Buddy" Sanders of Lawndale, Ralph Sanders of Shelby and Jerry and Janie Sanders of Forest City; two daughters, Janie Mull of Lawndale and Hazel Jones of Columbia, Tenn.; a sister Ruby Spurling of Shelby; 21 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Stamey Funeral Home of Fallston, with the Revs. Eugene Bumgardner, Earl Michaels and Charles Battle officiating. Burial will be at First Broad Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6:30 to 8 at the funeral home.

Jason Dobbins
MOORESBORO - Mr. Jason Dean Dobbins, 28, of 3460 McKinney Road, died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2000, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
Born in Cleveland County, he was the son of R. Dean ad Gail Luckadoo Dobbins of Mooresboro. He worked as a superintendent with Glenn Williams Construction, was a member of Goodes Grove Baptist Church and attended Trinity Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Boyd Luckadoo and Charles W. Dobbins, a grandmother, Faye Estep Dobbins, a grandmother-in-law, Nelle Smith and grandfather-in-law, Charles Hubbard.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Keri Michelle Smith Dobbins of the home; a son, Andy Dean Dobbins of the home; grandmother, Joyce Luckadoo; father- and mother-in-law, W. Vaughn and Karen Smith; brother- and sister-in-law, Billy and Jenny Smith; grandfather-in-law, Bill Smith, all of Mooresboro; grandmother-in-law, Margaret Hubbard of Lawndale; and special cousins and friends.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church, with Dr. David Irish and the Revs. Buddy Morehead and Mike Fraizer officiating. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Cleveland Funeral Services, and at other times at 3455 McKinney Road, Mooresboro.

Harold "Mike" Lowe
CHERRYVILLE - Mr. Harold "Mike" Lowe, 56, of 1210 Old Post Road, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 200, at Kings Mountain Hospital.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Cone Memorial Chapel of Carpenter's Funeral Home, with the Rev. Fred Helms Jr. officiating. Burial will be in City Memorial Cemetery in Bessemer City.
