DENVER - Mr. Jackie R. Robinson, 46, of 3500 St. James Church Road, died Saturday, March 24, 2001, at his home.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Brevard Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charlie Rivens officiating. Burial will follow in the St. James United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 30 minutes before the service.
Ebony and White's Funeral Service of Lincolnton is in charge of arrangements.

Thelma Mull
FAYETTEVILLE - Mrs. Thelma Bridges Mull, 81, died Monday, March 26, 2001, at her home.
The graveside service will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Post Cemetery in Fort Bragg with the Rev. John E. Hedgepeth officiating.
Highland Funeral Service and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

David Mooney
SHELBY - Mr. David Sherrill Mooney, 42, of 610 Plato Lee Road, died Tuesday, March 27, 2001, at his home.
The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Cleveland Funeral Services. Burial will be at Rosehill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Cleveland Funeral Services.

Bennett Newton
CHERRYVILLE - Mr. Bennett Leon Newton, 80, of 405 S. Kenwood Ave., died Tuesday, March 27, 2001, at his home.
The graveside service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the City Memorial Cemetery with the Revs. Perry Holleman and Jack H. Cooke officiating.
The family will receive friends today from 4 to 7 p.m. and the body will be taken to the home at 405 South Kenwood Ave.
Stamey - Cherryville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ross English
DENVER - Mr. Ross Eugene English, 70, of 4056 Denver Shores Lane, died Tuesday, March 27, 2001, at the V.A. Hospital in Asheville.
A native of Genesee County, Mich., he was born May 6, 1930, the son of the late Leon Elwood and Millicent Chapman English. He was a former sales manufacturer representative with John Tew and Associates. He was an Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Linda B. English of the home; two daughters, Tony "Michelle" Hartman of Shelby and Charlene Lowery of the home; four sons and one daughter - in - law, Gary English, Dale English and Doak English, all of Michigan, and James and Leigh Goins of Shelby; two sisters, Opeal Heath and Mildred Reigle, both of Michigan; three brothers, Hobert English, Dick English and Glenn English, all of Michigan; and six grandchildren.
The funeral will be Thursday at 4 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church in Maiden with the Revs. Charles Worley and Barry Goodman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military grave rites by the American Legion Post No. 16.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8:30 at Providence Baptist Church
Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Virginia Stone
KINGS MOUNTAIN - Mrs. Virginia Ware Stone, 77, of 709 Oak Grove Road, died Tuesday, March 27, 2001, at St. Francis Hospital in Green - ville, S.C.
A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Frank C. and Pearl Lovelace Ware. She retired from Mauney Hosiery in Kings Mountain and was a longtime employee of Hudson Hosiery in Shelby. She was also a former employee of Town and Country Beauty Salon in Shelby. She was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church where she was a member of the Mae Cleo Prayer Circle, the Faith Sunday School Class and the choir. She was also a volunteer for Hospice of Cleveland County and a member of the Open Gate Garden Club.
She is survived by one son and one daughter - in - law, Bill and Sandy Stone of Kings Mountain; two daughters and two sons - in - law, Brenda and Rick Falls of Gastonia and Martha and Jack Gushue of Greenville; five brothers and four sisters - in - law, Walter and Melba Ware, Buford and Stella Ware and Bob and Betty Ware of Kings Mountain, Jack Ware of Shelby and Mike and Shirley Ware; two sisters and two brothers - in - law, Polly and Menzell Phifer and Annette and Bob Webster, all of Kings Mountain; one sister - in - law, Betty DeBruler and her husband, A.T.; and seven grandchildren and their spouses, Larry and Beverly Stone of Kings Mountain, Lyndi Stone of Raleigh, Ashley Falls of Chapel Hill, Brad Falls of Gastonia, Patterson Mitchell, Catherine Gushue and Ginny Mitchell, all of Greenville, S.C.; and one great - grandchild, Kelton Stone.
The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Caulder officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Harris Funeral Home and at other times at the home of a son, Bill Stone, 133 Brook Road in Kings Mountain.

Ellis McCall
CRAMERTON - Ellis Donald McCall, 71, of 283 Eighth Ave., died Tuesday, March 27, 2001, at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
A native of Rowan County, he was the son of the late John Ellis and Pauline Lyerly McCall. He retired as master chief from the Navy after 40 years of service and was a Lutheran.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen Marie Swayney McCall of Cramerton; two daughters and a son - in - law, Donna Kathryn McCall of Gastonia and Kitsy and Keith Davis of Cramerton; two sons and one daughter - in - law, John Eric McCall of Cramerton and James Ellis and Edith McCall of Cherokee; two stepsons, Chris Hahn and Joe Rhinehart, both of Cramerton; one sister, Lula Kilby of Mouth of Wilson, Va.; eight grandchildren; and six great - grandchildren.
The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of Carothers Funeral Home with Chris Hahn officiating. Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park with full military honors.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home and at other times at the home.

Marvin Dellinger
CHERRYVILLE - Mr. Marvin D. Dellinger, 86, of 928 Kenwood Road, died Wednesday, March 28, 2001, at Hospice at Wendover in Shelby.
A native of Gaston County, he was born Dec. 10, 1914, the son of the late Jacob and Ida Mae Propst Dellinger. He retired in 1975 after 20 years of service as a long line driver for Carolina Freight Carriers. He was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers, Fonze E. Dellinger, Alvin Dellinger, Henry Dellinger, Lonnie Dellinger, Aubrey Dellinger, Leonard Gantt, Houston Gantt and Edward Gantt; and three sisters, Lila Rhom, Viola Huffstetler and Gretrude McFalls.
He is survived by his wife, Madge Porter Dellinger of the home; two sons and two daughters - in - law, Carl Lewis and Linda Dellinger and David and Carolyn Dellinger, all of Cherryville; two half brothers, Marshall Gantt and Clete Gantt, both of Kings Mountain; one stepbrother, Arthur Gantt of Cherryville; eight grandchildren, Tony Dellinger, Trisha Dellinger, Mark Dellinger, Tina Dellinger, Scott Dellinger, Michael Dellinger, Amy Dellinger and Cale Dellinger; and six great - grandchildren, Stephen Dellinger, Anna Kathryn Dellinger, Rhyan Archer, Chad Archer, Derek Archer and Alexis Archer.
The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Mount Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Key officiating. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8:30 at Carpenter's Funeral Home.

Sarah McDaris
SHELBY - Mrs. Sarah Foy McDaris, 79, of 320 - 1 Patton Drive, died Wednesday, March 28, 2001, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
A native of Rock Hill, S.C., she was the daughter of the late William Norman and Mary Mitchell Foy. She was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Mac McDaris, and her brother, William Norman Foy Jr.
She is survived by one son, Steven McDaris of Shelby; two daughters, Ann Teague of Charlotte and Becky Gordon of Earl; and four grandchildren, William P. Gheen III of Greenville, Amanda T. Reed of Hickory, and Elizabeth Gordon and Dillon H. Gordon, both of Earl.
A graveside service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Sunset Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the home.

SPINDALE - Ms. Julia Diana Searcy, 55, of 205 Georgia St., died Wednesday, March 28, 2001, at Rutherford Hospital.
The funeral will be Friday at 3 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Forest City. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6:30 to 8:30 at Crowe's Funeral Home, Rutherfordton.

David Mooney
SHELBY - Mr. David Sherrill Mooney, 42, of 610 Plato Lee Road, died Tuesday, March 27, 2001, at his home.
A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of Jimmy S. and Patsy W. Mooney of Shelby. He was a member of Lawndale Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by fiancée, Linda Terry of Caroleen; one brother, Jimmy C. "Chuck" Mooney of Shelby; two daughters and one son - in - law, Tonya and James Crosby of Shelby and Heather Mooney of Boiling Springs; two sons, Joshua Mooney and Shayne Mooney, both of Boiling Springs; two grandsons, Aarron Crosby and Dillon Crosby, both of Shelby; and one granddaughter, Nicki Crosby of Boiling Springs.
The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Cleveland Funeral Services with the Rev. James Green officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6:30 to 8:30 at the funeral home and other times at the home.

Joyce Hoyle
CHERRYVILLE - Mrs. Joyce Berg Hoyle, 63, of 225 Old Stubbs Road, died on Thursday, March 29, 2001, at Hospice of Cleveland County.
A native of Chicago, she was the daughter of Ovella Proctor Berg of Cherryville and the late Ole Johanessen Berg. She retired as a ticket reservationist at Eastern Airlines. She was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Michael Gene Hoyle of the home; one sister, Phyllis B. Utera of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; one niece, Nicole Martin of Cherryville; one nephew, Marc Anthony Utera of Plymouth, Mass.; one great - niece, Teigen Utera; one great - nephew, Ethan Martin; and several nieces - in - law and nephews - in - law.
The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Buffalo Baptist Church with the Revs. Max Turner and Sam Snyder officiating. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6:30 to 8 at Stamey Funeral Home.

The funeral will be Saturday at 4 p.m. at Padgett and King Mortuary with the Revs. Charlie Blackwell and Ray Hooper officiating. Burial will follow in the Cool Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Padgett and King Mortuary an hour before the service, and at other times at the home of a sister, Mrs. Carolyn Kiser on Cherry Mountain Street in Forest City.

SHELBY - Mrs. Patsy Jean "Pat" Patterson, 63, of 1176 Wyke Road, died Thursday, March 29, 2001, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Mildred Green Hughes. She was employed by Shelby City Schools in the dietary department. She was a member of Putnam Memorial Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons and daughters - in - law, Ben Howell Jr. and Becky Patterson and Jeff and Ann Patterson, all of Shelby; a sister and brother - in - law, Judy and Emanuel Campbell of Shelby; a nephew, Kent Campbell of Shelby; two granddaughters, Danielle Patterson and Amanda Patterson, both of Shelby; a grandson, Coye E. Terry II; and a great - granddaughter, Courtney Lucas.
A graveside service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Sunset Cemetery with the Revs. Bryan Glisson and Mark Canipe officiating.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6:30 to 8:30 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home, and at other times at the home of her son, Jeff Patterson, 1469 Troy Road, Shelby.

Clarence Campbell
STATESVILLE - Mr. Clarence Jennings Campbell, 76, of Orlando, Fla., formerly of Statesville, died Saturday, March 31, 2001.
A native of Iredell County, he was a son of the late Charles Fletcher Campbell and Troy Lounette Bell. He was a retired textile chemist. He served in the Army during the 1940s. He was a member and Sunday school teacher at Central United Methodist Church in Kings Mountain.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Matoka Morrison Campbell; a brother, Charles Fletcher Campbell; and two sisters, Helen C. Turner and Agnes F. Campbell.
He is survived by a son, Ross Ervin Campbell of Kings Mountain; two daughters ,Jane Campbell Kiser and her husband, Bryan, of Shelby, and Jennifer Campbell Drohan and her husband, Michael, of Orlando; a brother, John W. Campbell of Waynesboro, Va.; three sisters, Addie Lois C. Burgess and Bobbie C. Horney of Greensboro and Olga Yvonne Hoskins of Reidsville; and four grandchildren, Brittany Jean Campbell, William Jennings Drohan, Alex Michael Drohan and Maria Jane Kiser.
A memorial service will be held today at 2 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Harrison Hinson officiating.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6:30 to 8:30 at Troutman Funeral Home in Troutman.
Tuesday, the graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery in Statesville.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests donations to Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150.
