CONRAD
EAST BEND -- Mr. Charles Orman Conrad Sr., 79, of 5312 Jones Road, died Sunday, May 28, 2000, at his home. He was born in Yadkin County on Jan. 29, 1921, to Plesant Henderson and Lelia Grey Bailey Conrad. Mr. Conrad was a member of Enon Baptist Church, which he attended as long as his health permitted. Mr. Conrad served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the local school board, a member of the Yadkin County Historical Society and he was a home builder. Surviving are his wife, Ida Pearl Slater Conrad of the home; two daughters, Suellen Conrad (Warren) Cockerham of High Point, Frieda Conrad (Robert) Bostic of Mocksville; one son, Charles (Cathy) Conrad Jr. of East Bend; three sisters, Lillian Graham of Todd, Mary Alice Driscoll of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Nettie Mae Reed of Winston-Salem; three brothers, Dallas Conrad of St. Augustine, Fla., and P.H. Conrad Jr. and Robert A. Conrad, both of Lake Worth, Fla.; six grandchildren, Chip Conrad, Carla Doub, Debbie Willis, Wayne Cockerham, Robert Bostic Jr. and Amanda Harper; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, at Enon Baptist Church by the Rev. Edgar Whitlock. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 to lie in state. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Winston-Salem/Forsyth County, 1100-C S. Stratford Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.

DELIONBACK
ARARAT, Va. -- Mrs. Florence Lizzie Marshall Delionback, 86, of Ararat, Va., the wife of Moir Delionback , passed away Sunday, May 28, 2000, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mrs. Delionback was born in Patrick County Sept. 6, 1913, to the late Arnold and Lillie Smith Marshall. She was retired and was a member of Hunters Chapel Church. Survivors include her husband, Mr. Moir Delionback of the home; a daughter, Glenda Sapp of Winston-Salem; and two grandchildren, Tara Martin of Delray Beach, Fla. , and Trey Martin of Winston-Salem. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Delionback was preceded in death by a sister, Katie Hiatt and four brothers, Protch, Wyse, Herbert and Roscoe Marshall. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2000, at Moody Funeral Chapel in Mount Airy , by the Rev. Luther McCann , with burial to be in Oakdale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, 5526 Arlington Road, Jacksonville, FL 32211.

DODSON
REIDSVILLE -- Mrs. Dorothy Pyrtle Dodson, 76, of 1500 Courtland Ave. died May 29, 2000, at Morehead Nursing Home in Eden. Mrs. Dodson was born in Rockingham County, was retired from Cardnell Cleaners and attended College Park Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her mother, Tracy P. Ore, and her husband, Clyde H. Dodson. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2000, at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Dodson Family Cemetery. Survivors include her sons, Ray T. Dodson and wife Lori of Reidsville and Roy H. Dodson of Reidsville; her brothers, Lewis Ore and wife June of Mayodan, and David Ore of Greensboro; her sister, Mavis Coleman and husband James of Mayodan; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m Tuesday, May 30, 2000, at Colonial Funeral Home, Madison.

DOWE
Mrs. Dorothy Marie Hines Dowe, 69, of Winston-Salem died Saturday, May 27, 2000, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born Aug. 24, 1930, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Francis L. and Mary Brady Hines. Mrs. Dowe was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Francis L. Hines. Surviving are her husband, Wilford R. Dowe of the home; two daughters, Anne-Marie Hicks and husband Ronald G. of Lewisville and Dorothy M. Davidson and husband Brian S. of Winston-Salem; a son, William L. Dowe of Winston-Salem; a brother, Kenneth D. Hines of Wilkes-Barre, Pa.; and a host of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2000, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. The family will receive friends, at the church, one hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or to the American Cancer Society, 1900 S. Hawthorne Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. GOODIN
STATESVILLE -- Mrs. Sarah Christine Jordan Goodin, 93, a resident of Jurney's Rest Home and a former resident of 510 W. Sharpe St. died Sunday at Jurney's. Born Dec. 25, 1906, in Iredell County she was a daughter of the late William Noah Jordan and Sarah ''Sally'' Elizabeth Webber Jordan. She was a homemaker and a lifelong member of Western Avenue Baptist Church. On Dec. 19, 1928, she married Mr. Thomas H. Goodin Sr. who died April 26, 1989. Also preceding her in death was a son, Dr. John Alvin Goodin, formerly of Clayton. Survivors include two sons and their wives, Thomas H. Goodin Jr. and his wife, Margie of Winston-Salem, and Joe Goodin and his wife, Linda of Statesville. Also surviving is a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Shelba Jean Goodin of Clayton. Seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Maude Deal of Statesville and Mrs. Gladys Reese of Alexandria, Va., also survive. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Mitchell Rash officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers and burial will be at Iredell Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday evening at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home. For those who prefer, memorials may be given to Gideons International, P.O. Box 148, Statesville, NC 28687. Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home is serving the Goodin family.

GREGORY
MOCKSVILLE -- Mr. James Kyle Gregory, 34, of Dulin Road died Sunday, May 28, 2000, at his residence. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Eaton Funeral Chapel with Dr. Robert McLawhorn and the Rev. Ray O'Ferrell officiating. Burial will be in Smith Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will be at Eaton Funeral Home Wednesday, from 7 to 9 p.m. They request that memorials b e considered for Smith Grove United Methodist Church Fellowship Fund, c/o Mrs. Sue Boggs, 516 Dulin Road, Mocksville, NC 27028. Mr. Gregory was born June 5, 1965, in Forsyth County to James W. Jr. ''Jim'' and Linda Robertson Gregory. He was a graduate of Davie County High School class of 1983 and a member of Smith Grove United Methodist Church. Surviving in addition to his parents are two sisters and brothers-in-law, Kristi and Scot Shannon of Winston-Salem and Kim and Mark Harris of Advance; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Geneva Cuthrell of Mocksville; and two nephews, Luke and Dylan Harris of Advance. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Taft and Nancy Robertson , and his paternal grandfather, James W. Gregory Sr.

ISGETT
Mrs. Sarah Smith Martin Isgett, 93, of 1325 Winfield Drive passed away Sunday, May 28, 2000, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born July 16, 1906, in Trenton to Allen Taft Smith and Mary Cumbo Smith. She is survived by three daughters, Iris ''P-nut'' Randleman and husband Lewis ''Cutie'' of the home, Barbara I. Shropshire and Carlene I. Lentz of Winston-Salem. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Alvin G. Smith of Kernersville, Dorothy ''Dottie'' R. Stewart of Rural Hall and Donna S. Blakley of Winston-Salem. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Hazel M. Smith; a son, R.C. Isgett Jr.; her first husband, Rufus Martin; and her second husband, R.C. Isgett Sr. Mrs. Isgett was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and the Adult Mixed Bible Class. She retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. in 1971 after 41 years of service. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, June 1, at New Hope Baptist Church by Dr. Charles Carver and Mr. Max Sizemore. In 1989, Mrs. Isgett willed her body to Wake Forest University-Baptist Medical Center for research. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the building fund of New Hope Baptist Church, 4911 Old Rural Hall Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27105.

LOCK
AIKEN, S.C. -- Graveside services for Mr. Frank Ray Lock Jr. will be 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2000, at Forsyth Memorial Park in Winston-Salem. Mr. Lock, 61, of 802 E. Rollingwood Road, Aiken, S.C., beloved husband of Mary Jane Allen Lock died Monday, May 22, 2000, at Aiken Regional Medical Center. Mr. Lock was a graduate of The Darlington School, Rome, Ga., and attended Amherst College and Wake Forest University. Additional survivors include a son, Frank R. Lock III of Aiken; three daughters, Dawn Lock Walter of Irmo, S.C., Deborah Bonney Lock and Delia Owen Lock, both of Aiken; two brothers, David M. Lock of Aiken and James B. Lock of Virginia Beach, Va.; two half-sisters, Amelie P. Owen of Winston-Salem and Erline P. Parnell of Lady Lake, Fla.; and four grandchildren, Brittany Ann Walter, Brie Anna Walter, Frank Ray Lock IV and James David Lock. Mr. Lock was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Frank R. and Mary Bonney Lock Sr. and a sister, Joyce P. Hipp. A memorial fund in the name of Frank R. Lock Jr. is planned to be established at the Palmetto Golf Club, 275 Berrie Road, S.W., Aiken, SC 29801 to assist in paying the expenses of young golfers who otherwise could not enjoy the use of the club. MARSH
Mr. Luther Cleveland Marsh, 69, of 2107 Brewer Road died Saturday, May 27, 2000, at his home. He was born on April 24, 1931, in Monroe County, Ga., to Thomas and Sudie Mason Marsh. Mr. Marsh was a member of Griffith Baptist Church. He retired in 1987 from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. with 31 years of service in the engineering department. He coached in the Tiny Greyhound League from 1966 to 1978. He served from 1949 to 1953 in the 82nd Army Airborne Division during the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his wife, Betty Chilton Marsh of the home; one son, Randy Marsh and wife Barbara of Florence, S.C.; one daughter, Cathy Hahn and husband Wayne of Hollywood, S.C.; one grandson, Hayden Marsh, two stepgrandchildren, Tim and Kim Hahn; his mother, Sudie Marsh of Forsyth, Ga.; two brothers, Ed Marsh of Canton, Ga. and Sonny Marsh of Carrolton, Ga.; four sisters, Edythe Stuart of Orange City, Fla., Gerry Daniels of Cadwell, Ga., Delois Cochran of Juliette, Ga. and Martha Sapp of Graysville, Ala.; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, at Hayworth-Miller Chapel by the Rev. Tony Brown. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. RING
PFAFFTOWN -- Mrs. Myrtle Geneva (Granny) Long Ring, 85, wife of Claude Vernon Ring of 66 years, of the Dozier community, died Sunday, May 28, 2000, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born on July 28, 1914, in Forsyth County to Jasper H. and Mary Ellen Vogler Long. She was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, a member of Old Richmond Homemakers Club and the Senior Citizen's Club. Mrs. Ring was a nurses aid for City Memorial Hospital and she was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and neighbor. She was preceded in death by one brother, Spencer R. Long; one grandchild, Mark Christopher Ring; and one great-grandchild, Russell Tuttle. Surviving are her husband, Claude Vernon Ring of the home; four daughters, Hilda (Ray) Scott of Winston-Salem and Dorothy (Gordon) Yates, Jane (Melvin) Eudy, and Sylvia Patterson, all of Pfafftown; one son, Lonnie (Shirley) Ring of Tobaccoville; eight grandchildren, Brenda (Ricky) Plunkett of Rural Hall, Sherry (Kent) Tuttle of Pfafftown, Dr. Gary (Susan) Scott of Montgomery, Ala., Bonitia (Jaime) Cleary of Tobaccoville, Jeanna (Gregg) Lauffenburger of Hickory, Douglas Eudy of Winston-Salem, Ellen Eudy of Pfafftown and Ginger (Greg) Owens of Winston-Salem; 12 great-grandchildren, Trisha, Nathan and Gretchen Tuttle, Jessica and Ashlyn Scott, Jayson and Morgan Cleary, Mark, Christa , and John Lauffenburger, Zachary Owens and Scott Plunkett. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, at Huff Funeral Home in East Bend by the Rev. Dwight Cartner and the Rev. Alvin Latham. Burial will follow in Pleasant HillUnited Methodist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Mt.
