EVERHART
MOUNT AIRY -- Eura ''Ann'' Francis Everhart, 55, of 834 Pipers Gap Road, Mount Airy, died Friday, October 8, 1999 at her home. Mrs. Everhart was born in Surry County on June 13, 1944 to John Herbert and Dora Joyce Francis. She was retired from Consumer Sales and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are her husband, Larry ''Joe'' Everhart of the home; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Lena and Harvey Gordon of King, Barbara Simmons of Mount Airy, and Ruby and Ronda Smith of Greensboro; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Lloyd and Norma Franics of Mount Airy, Ray and Sandra Francis of Pilot Mountain, and Ruth Francis of Mount Airy; five nieces; 10 nephews; four great-nieces; seven great-nephews; and her pets, beloved dogs, Josie and Abby; and beloved cats, Maggie and Mikey. Mrs. Everhart was preceded in death by one brother, Wade C. Francis. A memorial service will be conducted on Monday, October 11, 1999 at 11:00 a.m. at Skyline Memory Gardens by Elder Elbert Hunter and Elder J.D. Belton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northern Hospice, 1033 Highway 52, Mount Airy, N.C. 27030 or to the Oncology Center at Northern Hospital of Surry County, 830 Rockford Street, Mount Airy, N.C. 27030. Cox-Needham Funeral Home and Chapel in Pilot Mountain, N.C. is serving the Everhart family.

GOINGS
MOUNT AIRY -- Mr. William Henley Goings, 90, of 4218 West Pine Street, Mount Airy, husband of Zella Lowe Goings, passed away on Friday, October 8, 1999 at his home. Mr. Goings was born in Surry County on October 28, 1908, son of the late William Monroe and Betty Mayes Goings. He was a retired self-employed Sawmill Operator, and was of the Primitive Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Zella Lowe Goings of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Carl Pack of Dobson and Linda and Franklin Gravely of Mount Airy; two sons and daughters-in-law, Clarence and Nelda Goings of Winston-Salem and Gray and Roena Goings of Mount Airy; seven grandchildren and their wives, Grant and Shaunon Goings, Gary Goings, Greg and Michelle Goings, Kim Coe, Phil and Robin Pack, Penny Creed, and Dean Gravely; eight great-grandchildren; and two brothrs and sisters-in-law, Grady and Ailene Goings and Wallace and Bessie Goings, all of Mount Airy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Goings was preceded in death by three sisters, Edna Clifton, Dorothy Carson, and Dora Lowe; and two brothers, Elmer Goings and Boyd Goings. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 10, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. at Flat Top Primitive Baptist Church, conducted by Elder Steve Mosley and Rev. Jack Casstevens. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday night from 6 to 8 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy, N.C. where his body will remain until carried to the church to lie in-state 30 minutes prior to the funeral service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Flat Top Primitive Baptist Church, c/o Ruth Hill, 170 Brooklyn Tr., Pilot Mountain, N.C. 27041.

HUBAND
Mrs. Donnie Matheson Huband, died October 7, 1999 at Springmoor Retirement Center, Raleigh. Mrs. Huband taught in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System before retiring to Raleigh. She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Huband, Jr. She is survived by three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Maxine Matheson of Raleigh, Mrs. Cliff Leonard of Lexington, and Mrs. Margaret Huband of Winston-Salem; one God-son, John Bailey Moor; four nieces; and one nephew. A memorial graveside service will be held Sunday, October 10, at 2:00 p.m. at forsyth Memorial Park conducted by Dr. James H. Banbury. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the United Methodist Children's Home, Inc., 1000 Reynolda Rd., Winston-Salem, N.C. 27104 or to the donor's choice.

KING
PORT REPUBLIC, MD. -- Mr. Paul H. King of Port Republic, Md., died Tuesday, October 5, 1999 at his home. Mr. King was a native of Forsyth County. He was retired from NASA. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served in WWII. Mr. King is survived by his wife, Donna Mae King of the home, three daughters, Trudy Pumphrey, Debra Clavio, and Cynthia Rackley; two sons, Paul H. King, Jr. and Gary King; one sister, Peggy King Gimmon of Winston-Salem; six grandchildren; and one great-granchild. The family request memorials be made to the St. Leonard Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company, Box 101, St. Leonard, Md. 20685. Raymond Funeral Home in Maryland is in charge of the funeral arrangements.

KIRK
KERNERSVILLE -- Mr. Raymond Louis Kirk, Jr., 54, of Lot #88, Cedar Grove Park, died Thursday, October 7, 1999 at the Wake Forest/Baptist Medical Center. Mr. Kirk was born in Guilford Co., a son of the late Raymond Louis Kirk, Sr. and Wilma McGee Kirk, he was a self-employed carpenter, a US Army veteran, and loved and was loved by his family. Surviving are his daughter, Marcey Stanley Kirk of Greensboro; two sisters, Betty Kirk Ward of Charlotte and Glenda Kirk Crews of Greensboro; a brother, William R. Kirk of Greensboro; and five grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted Sunday, October 10, 1999 at 3:00 p.m. at the A-I Cemetery near Oak Ridge by Rev. Tom Cassidy. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Hayworth-Miller-Cain Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to Vietnam Veterans at 1224 Main St., NW Washington, D.C. 20005.

LYTTON
BOONVILLE -- Mrs. Darlene Hoosier Lytton, 42, of Boose Road, died unexpectedly Wednesday, October 6, 1999 at Hoots Memorial Hospital, She was born May 19, 1957 to Clyde and Elsie Scales Hoosier. She was a graduate of Elkin High School and a bookkeeper for Y.V.E.D.D.I. for 22 years. Mrs. Lytton was a member of Boonville First United Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Hoosier. Surviving are her mother of Boonville; her husband, Danny Ray Lytton; her children, Yolanda Lytton, Brian Lytton and Derek Lytton all of Boonville; a daughter-in-law, Nikia Lytton; her grandchildren, DaParis Lytton and Dante' Saffo; and her mother-in-law, Margaret Lytton of Elkin. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 11, 1999 at Boonville First United Presbyterian Church conducted by Rev Calvin Crump. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Gentry Family Funeral Service, Hwy 601 N. in Yadkinville is in charge of arrangement.

MOORE
Emma Mozelle Gammon Moore, 62, of Winston-Salem, formerly of Galax, Va., passed away Friday, October 8, 1999 at 1:45 p.m., after a long illness. She was born in Rockingham County on August 11, 1937 to Benton Austin Gammon and Dora May Hardy Gammon. She is preceded in death by her parents; and an adopted brother, Clyde Gammon (Pete). She is survived by her husband, Rev. Jimmie Ronald Moore; two sons, Ronald Bentley Moore and wife, Mary of Winston-Salem and Mark Reynolds Moore and wife, Starr of Reidsville; one daughter and son-in-law, Tracy Moore Cornett and husband, Randy of Galax, Va.; four grandchildren, Marsha Ann Moore and Jimmie Ronald Moore, II of Reidsville, William Tyler Cornett and Bentley Merdith Cornett of Galax, Va.; one sister, Jean Gammon Powell and husband, Bobby of Reidsville; and one brother, Thomas Austin C. Gammon and wife, Hilda of Reidsville. Mrs. Moore lived the first 38 years of her life in Rockingham County, where she was employed by Belk. Most of the remainder of her life was spent in Galax, Va. She was always very active in the church. Her first love was Jesus Christ, then her family. The funeral service will be Sunday, October 10, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hillcrest Baptist Church in Galax, Va. with interment in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Reidsville, N.C. at 5:30 p.m.

MOSER
KING -- Norris Craig Moser, 45, of King, died unexpectedly, Friday, October 8, 1999. He was born in Forsyth County April 10, 1954 to Johnny K. and Betty Smith Moser. Craig was a 1972 graduate of South Stokes High School and had been employed by the Forsyth County Fire Department since 1978. He had formerly served as Chief of King Volunteer Fire Department, where he was instrumental in the building of the new facility. He was presently serving on the Board of Directors for the King Volunteer Fire Department. Craig was a former little league football and baseball coach and had also sang with the Cliffnotes Choir. He is survived by his wife, Gail Spach Moser; and a daughter, Melissa Moser, both of the home; a son, R. Darin Patterson and wife, Tara of Mocksville; his parents, Johnny and Betty Moser of King; a sister, Christine Hackler and husband, Mark; and one nephew, Matthew Hackler, all of Milton, N.C. He was a member of First Christian Church on Meadowbrook Drive in King, where funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 10, 1999 at 3 p.m. Minister Bill Truitt will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Memorials may be made to the Building Fund of the First Christian Church of King, P.O. Box 504, King, N.C. 27021. OWENS
Nancy Ross Pendleton Owens, of Bartram Road, Winston-Salem, died on Friday, October 8, 1999 following an extended illness. Mrs. Owens is survived by her daughters, Mary Frances Owens of New York City, Ann Lewis Owens of Chapel Hill, and Katherine Pendleton Owens of New York City. She is also survived by her sisters, Frances Pendleton London of Bermuda Run and Hazel Pendleton Dixon of Elizabeth City, and her brother, Andrew Lewis Pendleton of Statesville. Mrs. Owens was born on January 23, 1928 to Dr. and Mrs. Andrew Lewis Pendleton of Elizabeth City. She graduated from St. Mary's College and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish. She did post graduate work in Spanish at the University of Tennessee. She married Edward Paul Owens and lived in Los Angeles, New York City, and Knoxville before moving to Winston-Salem in 1960. She was a Real Estate Broker. Mrs. Owens was a long time member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and has served as president of the Bookshop Guild, co-chairman of the St. Paul's bazaar, a circle leader, and Sunday school teacher. She was on the altar guild and also volunteered with the Samaritan Inn. She was a member of Old Town Club, the Colonial Dames, the St. Mary's Alumnae Council of which she served as a vice president, the Flower Lore Garden Club and several bridge clubs. She served as past president of the Clara Siewers Service League of the Moravian Home, vice president of the Friendship Force of Winston-Salem, and vice president of the Summit School Parent's Council. Mrs. Owens was a volunteer at Crisis Control Ministries and had been active in civic fundraising for the Winston-Salem Symphony, the cancer drive, and various other charities. The family will receive visitors at the home on Sunday, October 10, 1999 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church on Monday, October 11, 1999 at 11:00 a.m. The interment will be in Old Hollywood Cemetery in Elizabeth City at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 12, 1999 The family requests that in lieu of flowers, gifts be made to Crisis Control Ministries at 200 East Tenth Street, Winston-Salem, N.C. 27101, St. Paul's Episcopal Church, or Hospice of Winston-Salem/Forsyth County. PEARMAN
KERNERSVILLE -- Mr. Ralph Lewis Pearman, 68, of 5240 Prince Charles Dr., Kernersville, died on Friday, October 8, 1999 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. Mr. Pearman was born January 10, 1931 to Steve and Jessie (Sizemore) Pearman. He was a graduate of Guilford College in Greensboro. Mr. Pearman retired, after 31 years of service, as a Federal Agent from the Internal Revenue Service. He was a member of Shady Grove Wesleyan Church in Colfax. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served in the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his wife, Myra C. Pearman of the home; one daughter, Melody R. Hauser of Walnut Cove; one son, Randy Pearman of Walkertown; one brother, Bill Pearman of Winston-Salem; and one granddaughter, Lisa Danielle Hauser. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 11, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. Rev. Wesley Brown will officiate. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Sunday, October 10, 1999. District 11 Memorial Honor Guard of N.C. will assist with Military Honors.
