She was a native of Cleveland County, daughter of the late D.S. and Sarah Alice Greenhill Turner, sister of the late Harley Jones Turner, Carl Turner, Lorne Turner and Lottie Towery, retired from Double Shoals Cotton Mill, member of Double Shoals United Methodist Church for more than 70 years.
SURVIVORS: Sons and daughter-in-laws, Jimmy and Ruth Champion, Gastonia, Delmar and Irene Champion, Jacksonville, Fla.; daughter and son-in-law, Frances and Harlen Peeler, Shelby; brother, Wilber Turner, Cherryville; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren
