She was a native of Gaston County, daughter of the late Robert Chalmers and Lara Eaker Dameron, wife of the late William Clyde Wray, stepmother of the late Bill Wray, sister of the late Robert and Hugh Dameron, graduate of Tryon High School, retired seamstress with Bull Frog Knit, lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church, former Sunday school teacher, member of the Women’s Circle, Volunteer with the Bessemer City Crisis Center.
