He was a native of Cabarrus County, art teacher, retired from Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools after 34 years of service, 1947 graduate of North Carolina A & T State University, founding member of Los Bravos, Army veteran, steward board, North Carolina A & T Alumni Association, Top Soil Club, member of Omega Psi Phi fraternity, worked part-time for Mecklenburg Park and Recreation until April 1999.

Brucker Blue, retired engineer after 30 years service with Penn Central Railroad, Grand Rapids, Mich., assisted in construction of Chanute Air Force Base in Rantoul, Ill., during National Guard, also Army veteran, Lutheran, owned and operated Star Gas Station in Cairo, Ill., 32nd degree Mason.
