He was a native of Greenwood, S.C., husband of the late Frances Raymer Connor, son of the late Jefferson McCants and Helen Mae Wells Connor, brother of the late Lee D., Rachel and May W. Connor, former electric technician at the Oakridge Atomic Lab, owner of Supreme Radio & TV from 1933 until his retirement in 1991, member of Central United Methodist Church, ran sound system for Cleveland County Fair from the beginning, ran sound system for the North Carolina State Fair and Southern States Expo in Charlotte.
