She was a native of Lawrenceburg County, Tenn., wife of the late Walter Houston Watterson, daughter of the late Horace Columbus and Ida Hoover Roach, graduated from Tri High School, Caroleen, studied art in college, owner and operator of Carnella’s Beauty Shop for more than 30 years, sold Dutchmaid and Stanley Home Products, former retail manager in uptown Gastonia, member of Trinity Baptist Church.
