BELMONT – Sally Davis Grindstaff, 88, 229 Ferstl Ave., died Aug. 7, 1999.
She was a native of Sevier County, Tenn., resident of Gaston County for 72 years, daughter of the late Nancy and John Davis, wife of the late Luther H. Grindstaff, mother of the late J.D. Grindstaff, 1971 graduate of Piedmont Bible College, retired owner-operator of Sally’s Beauty Shop, Belmont, lifetime member of Goshen Free Will Baptist Church.
SURVIVORS: Sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Pat Grindstaff, Belmont, Charles and Doris Grindstaff, Belmont, Margie Spencer Grindstaff, Mount Holly; sister Hedy Smith, Georgia; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild
