Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Full Gospel Freewill Baptist Church. Visitation will be 7-9 tonight at J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home.

Nellie Berrier
LEXINGTON - Mrs. Nellie Everhart Berrier, 85, of N.C. 150, died at 9:37 p.m. May 29, 2000, at her residence after an illness of 6 weeks.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel. Visitation will be at the residence.

Jack Biesecker
LEXINGTON - Jack Edward Biesecker, 59, died May 29, 2000, at Lexington Memorial Hospital.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Lexington City Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 tonight at Piedmont Funeral Home.

Nathan Isaac
HIGH POINT - Nathan Isaac, 81, of Triad Manor died Sunday, May 28, 2000.
He was born Oct. 26, 1918, a son of John Henry and Annie Wood Isaac. He was preceded in death by three brothers.
Surviving are three brothers, Fielden Isaac of High Point, David Isaac of Charlotte and Early Isaac of Salisbury; a sister, Mae Harker of Charlotte; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in Floral Garden Park Cemetery by the Rev. David Perry. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Harold C. Davis Funeral Home.

Alton Jackson
RANDLEMAN - Alton Owen Jackson, 75, died May 30, 2000, at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Level Cross United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 tonight at Pugh Funeral Home.

Richard Snyder
ARCHDALE - Richard Edward Snyder, 71, of 1403 Kersey Valley Road died Sunday, May 28, 2000, at High Point Regional Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born Nov. 9, 1928, in Randolph County, a son of Ed Lindsay and Bess Morgan Snyder, who both preceded him in death. On July 1, 1959, he married Jacquelyn Young, who preceded him in death Nov. 7, 1998.
He was in the U.S. Merchant Marines and also the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean Conflict. He received the National Defense Service Medal while serving in the U.S. Army. He retired from Wausau Insurance Co. in 1990 after a successful sales career.
He was a lifelong member of Archdale United Methodist Church and a member of the Friendship Class. He was an honorary member of the Lieutenant Governor's Staff in the state of Tennessee and a member of the North Carolina Walking Horse Association. He was an avid card player and horse enthusiast. He was known for his sense of humor and straightforward manner. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, provider and friend. He was a remarkable man, who will be sadly missed.
Surviving are three daughters, Sue (Brian) Howard of High Point, Vicki (Keith) Bean of Wallburg and Diana Richard Snyder of Greensboro; four granddaughters, Mary Jacquelyn (Lyn) Turner of Greensboro and Laura Bean, Sarah Bean and Mary Katherine Bean, all of Wallburg; two brothers, Don Snyder of Cummings, Ga., and Charles Snyder of College Grove, Tenn.; and two sisters, Evelyn Travis of Slidell, La., and Janet Dugger of High Point.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale, by the Rev. Jeff S. Patterson and the Rev. Harold D. Shives. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to Archdale United Methodist Church Building Fund, 11543 N. Main St., Archdale, N.C. 27263.

Darrell Street
THOMASVILLE - Darrell Everrett Street, 56, of 2631 Steeplechase Drive died May 29, 2000, at Community General Hospital.
Graveside service will be 3 p.m. Thursday in Floral Garden Park Cemetery, High Point. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. tonight at J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home.

Brandon Stroud
THOMASVILLE - Brandon Michael Stroud, 28, of 3748 Upper Lake Road died May 30, 2000, at his residence after a short illness.
He was born Sept. 16, 1971, in High Point, a son of Bruce Michael and Deborah Evans Stroud. He was a resident of Thomasville for the past eight years, having moved from High Point. He was employed with U.S. Food Service. He was a member of Springfield Baptist Church, Fisherman Sunday School Class and a volunteer with Pilot Fire Department. On Jan. 27, 1990, he married Sherri Bryant, who survives of the residence.
Also surviving are a daughter, Heather Elizabeth Stroud of the residence; a son, Brandon Heath Stroud of the residence; his parents of 6019 Green Valley Road, Kernersville; a brother, Eric Wesley Stroud of 6019 Green Valley Road, Kernersville; his grandmother, Mrs. Ruth Stroud of 1225 Hedgecock Road, High Point; his father and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Bryant of 145 Hillcrest Drive, Thomasville.
Funeral will be 5 p.m. Thursday at Springfield Baptist Church by the Rev. Bobby L. Loving. Burial will be in Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery. The body will be at Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale, until placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home.
Members of Pilot Fire Department will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Anthony Brown
Greensboro - Anthony A. Brown, 43, formerly of 215 Windley St. died May 26, 2000, at Beacon Place of Greensboro
He was born July 24, 1957, in High Point, the son of James A. Garrett and Miss Rosa Lee Brown. He was employed as a furniture worker at Davis Industries. He was of the Baptist faith and served in the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, James and Bertha Brown; great grandparents, John Robert and Lillie Harps; and great uncle, Earnest Harps.
Surviving are two sons, Terry A. Brown and Eric A. Brown, both of High Point; one daughter, Miss Erica M. Brown of New York; his mother; four aunts, Mrs. Jane E. Brown of Greensboro, Mrs. Lillian (Simpson) Baker, Helen L. Braddy and Debra J. Inzar, all of High Point; and one uncle, James A. Brown, Jr. of High Point.
Also surviving are great uncle and aunt, John and Addie Harp of High Point; two great aunts, Ms. Rana Miller of High Point and Ms. Correne Brown of Gibson; godmother, Miss Maria Fleming; ten cousins, Wyvette (Mike) Hughes of Killeen, Tex., Timothy (Debra) Baker, Simpson Shawn (Tabatha) Baker, Keshia Brown and Larry (Johnetta) Brown, all of High Point, Yolonda Brown, Demetrius Brown, Larissa (Ken) Webster, Nikki (Alan) Webster and Damon (Ravon) Brown, all of Greensboro; 11 great cousins, Timothy Strickland, Dwight Baker, Rashaun Baker, Jeshawn Baker, Yasmine Brown, Kearrie Brown, Debrain Brown, Dearria Brown, Jermaine Armstrong and Loshuna Armstrong, all of High Point and Jessica Webster of Greensboro; very special friends, Mrs. Sharon Lipscomb and the workers of THP, Elmer and Gale Melton, Rosa Dunlap, Linda Pinson, Georgia McLean and Edward and Ann Richards; and a very special thanks to Beacon Place of Greensboro.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday at Hargett-Gilmore Funeral Home by Rev. Terrance T. Evans. Interment will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be at 215 Windley St.

Belvin Davis
High Point - Belvin R. 'B.R.' Davis, 76, of 120 Skeet Club Rd. died May 27, 2000, at his residence following several years of declining health.
He was born in Guilford County on Jan. 24, 1924, a son of Everett Lee and Annie Cotner Davis. He was an Army veteran of WWII. He and his father operated the Skeet Club for which Skeet Club Road was named.
He was a lifelong tobacco farmer and also operated Davis Landscaping. He was of the Baptist faith and was married to Eula Amos Davis, who died in 1992.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Carol Vance and husband, Don, and Mrs. Susan Hilton and husband, Gary, both of Kernersville; four sons, Jimmy Davis and wife, Jean, Robert Davis and wife, Wanda, both of High Point, Charles Davis and his wife, Gail, of Kernersville, and Roger Davis of the home; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bunker Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery by Rev. Charles Fernandez. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Harold C. Davis Funeral Home and other times at the residence.

Kathryn Foy
Winston-Salem - Mrs. Kathryn Sexton Griffis Foy, 83, died May 25, 2000, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem.
She was born Dec. 8, 1916, in Davidson County, a daughter of Shuford Hayden and Gertha Wooley Sexton. She married Dr. John William Griffis Sr., who preceded her in death. She later married John Clay Foy Sr., who also preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathryn Burke Griffis.
Surviving are two sons, John William Griffis Jr. of Winston-Salem and the Rev. Thomas Lionel Griffis and his wife, Susan Gadd, of Salisbury; a daughter, Anne Griffis Wilson and her husband, the Rev. Charles Francis Wilson, of Winston-Salem; four grandchildren, John Charles Burks Wilson and Thomas Gregory Wilson of Winston-Salem, Emma Kathryn Griffis and Anna Burks Griffis of Salisbury; three stepchildren, John Clay Foy Jr. and his wife, Hilda McKnight, of Arapahoe, Carolyn Foy Ragsdale and her husband, James Edmonds, of Smithfield and Henry Gratton Foy and his wife, Patricia Armstrong, of Southport; and seven step grandchildren.
Funeral will be 3 p.m. today at Centenary United Methodist Church by the Rev. Roland Barnhardt. Burial will be in Denton Town Cemetery. Visitation will be immediately after the service today at Memorial Auditorium.

Roscoe George
Mount Airy - Roscoe Bowman George, 83, of 132 Jackson Road died May 27, 2000, at his home.
He was born in Surry County on Oct. 23, 1916, son of the late Roscoe Allen and Mattie Yokley George. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served in World War II, was a furniture executive for Mount Airy/National Furniture and was a lifelong member of Central United Methodist Church.
He was a former Commissioner for the city of Mount Airy and served as mayor pro tem for 20 years.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Gertrude Elizabeth (Beth) George and Raymond Fitzgerald of Greensboro; two sons and a daughter-in-law, James Philip (Phil) and Brenda George of Roanoke, Va. and Roscoe Bowman (Rossie) George, II of Mount Airy; four grandchildren, Emily George and Courtney George, both of Roanoke, Va. and Maria George and Luckey George, both of Mount Airy; three step children and spouses, Sandra B. Tilley of Mount Airy, Teresa and Brian Gagliardi of Glen Allen, Va. and K. Russell and Lisa Brown of Lexington, Ky.; and nine step grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Gertrude Moore George; his second wife, Betty Chilton Brown George; two brothers, Dr. Robert Allen George and John Philip George and one stepson, Lloyd Andrew Brown.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Central United Methodist Church in Mount Airy. Interment will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday at the Central United Methodist Church Ladies' Parlor.
Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Surry County, 1326 N. Main St., Mount Airy, N.C. 27030 or to Central United Methodist Church, 1909 N. Main St., Mount Airy, N.C. 27030.

High Point - Everette Willis Lee, 82, of 1800 Whitehall St. died May 27, 2000, at High Point Regional Hospital.
