Robert Billings
Lexington - Robert Lewis Billings, 84, of Tyro Road died at 1 a.m. May 31, 2000, at Lexington Memorial Hospital.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Friday in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be 7-9 tonight at the residence of the son, 16 Fairway Drive.
Davidson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Eura Bishop
Asheboro - Mrs. Eura Marie Fleenor Bishop, 87, of 419 Hill St. died May 30, 2000, at Randolph Hospital.
She was a native of Dryden, Va. She was a homemaker and was of the Methodist faith. She was preceded in death by a son, Billy Ray Bishop; a daughter, Betty Hall; a grandson, Ray Anthony Bishop; and her husband, Frank C. Bishop.
Surviving are four daughters, Fay Marrs of Elsmere, Del., Mildred Marrs of North Tazewell, Va., Nancy Fritts of Thomasville and Ruby Saunders of Lincolnton; four sons, Troy Bishop of Lincolnton, Paul Charles Bishop of Clayton, Del., Raymond Bishop of Morgan City, La., and Ronnie Bishop of East Bend; 20 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; and five stepgreat-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Tom Harmon and the Rev. Mark Sink. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Untied Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association, 3109 Poplarwood Court, Suite 125, Raleigh, N.C. 27604-1043 or to the American Cancer Society, Randolph Unit, P.O. Box 515, Asheboro, N.C. 27204.

Glenna Blair
Siler City - Mrs. Glenna Hinshaw Blair, 81, of 510 N. Third St. died May 30, 2000, at Westwood Health & Rehabilitation Center in Archdale.
She was a native of Alamance County and a retired beautician. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, where she was a former Sunday school teacher and a member of the Barrow Mission Group. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, K. Edward Blair.
Surviving are a son, W. Edward Blair of Trinity; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Blair, of Trinity; two brothers, George Hinshaw of Silk Hope and Zim Hinshaw of Asheboro; a sister, Bernice Hinshaw of Siler City; two granddaughters, Heather Blair of Chapel Hill and Caroline Blair of Trinity.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, 314 N. Second Ave., by the Rev. James Wall. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:30-8:30 tonight at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home.
Memorials may be directed to First Baptist Church, 314 N. Second Ave., Siler City, N.C. 27344.

Patrick Carter
High Point - Patrick Shane Carter, 27, of 1002 Shalimar Drive died May 30, 2000.
He was born Nov. 28, 1972, in High Point, a son of John William and Sadie Fields Carter. He was a graduate of High Point Central High School and attended Guilford Technical Community College. He was in sales for several years. He was preceded in death by his father.
Surviving are his mother of the residence; a brother, John William Carter Jr. of the residence; a sister, Mrs. Judi Carter Starliper of Knoxville, Tenn.; his grandmother, Mrs. Juanita H. Fields of Southern Pines.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Sechrest Chapel, E. Lexington Avenue, by the Rev. C.W. Moss. Burial will be in Floral Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home.

Annie Donald
High Point - Mrs. Annie Groome Donald, 96, of Maryfield Nursing Home died Saturday, May 27, 2000, at the home.
She was born Jan. 19, 1904, in Groometown, a daughter of Zachariah L. and Minnie Armfield Groome. She graduated from Greensboro College with a degree in science and mathematics. She was a laboratory technician at Trinity College (Duke University). She later taught chemistry and math in the Greensboro school system for more than 35 years. She was a native of Guilford County and a former member of Groometown United Methodist Church. She later was a member of W. Market St. United Methodist Church, Greensboro.
Prior to moving to High Point, she resided at 1803 Madison Ave., Greensboro. In 1924, she married William Blanton Donald of Richmond, Va., who preceded her in death Aug. 20, 1966. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs.. Jessie Phillips and Mrs. Nell Cline; and five brothers, Percy Groome, Dr. Jim Groome, Wilbur Groome, Houston Groome and Charles Groome.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Harold L. (Peggy) Amos of 1004 Country Club Drive; a son, Dr. William Blanton Donald Jr. and his wife, Mona, of 815 Hillcrest Drive; seven grandchildren, Mrs. Ronald Shealy, Mrs. Maurice Scott Smothers Hull, Harold Lindsay Amos Jr., Mrs. Ray Barbour Jr. and Mrs. James Buckthal, Mrs. Frank Webster and William B. Donald; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Charles (Mary Ruth) Coble of Burlington and Mrs. Stanley (Jane) Lowe of Cleveland, Tenn.; and a brother, A. Bryan Groome and his wife, Helen, of Groometown.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. today in Groometown United Methodist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Charles Morton. The body will be at Sechrest Funeral Home, High Point, until the hour of service.

Lura Durham
Thomasville - Mrs. Lura Brown Durham, 92, of Cox Avenue died May 31, 2000, at Mt. Vista Health Park Center in Denton.
She was born Oct. 5, 1907, in Royston, Ga., a daughter of Jadie Andrew and Maude Kay Brown. She retired from Ragan Knitting Co. after 27 years of service. She was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church and the Ladies Bible Class. On Oct. 12, 1929, she married Troy George Durham, who preceded her in death May 13, 1990.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ruby Jones and her husband, Robert, of 117 Raleigh Road; a son, Jadie Lee Durham and his wife, Judy, of 219 Fleer Road; three sisters, Mrs. Lorain (Elizabeth) Leonard of Dayton Beach, Fla., Mrs. Clyde (Curtis) Wilder of High Point and Mrs. John (Pearl) Sullivan of Thomasville; a brother, Fulton A. Brown of Thomasville; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at J.C. Green & Sons Chapel by the Rev. Wilbur A. Jarrett. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery in High Point. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home and other times at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Ruby Jones.

Peggy Hill
Kernersville - Ms. Peggy Lee Hill, 50, of 506 Brookside Court died May 31, 2000, at Forsyth Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 30, 1949, in Forsyth County, a daughter of Albert and Glenna Wooten Reavis. She graduated from Tennessee Temple University and attended Gospel Light Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her son, Donnie Lee Hill in 1995.
Surviving are her parents of the residence; a daughter, Kim H. Sparrow of High Point; two sons, Danny Ray Hill Jr. of Kernersville and Steven A. Hill of High Point; and four grandchildren, Taylor Sparrow, Kurtis Hill, Chase Hill and Alyssa Hill.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Hayworth-Miller-Cain Chapel by Brother Bill Barrow. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and other times at the residence.

Mary Morrison
Lexington - Mrs. Mary Ruth Everhart Morrison, 72, of Second Rainbow died at 11:22 a.m. May 31, 2000, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem after an illness of three months.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.

Theodore Price Jr.
High Point - Theodore 'Bubba' Price Jr., 69, of 1408 Boundary Ave. died May 30, 2000, at High Point Regional Hospital.
He was born Sept. 9, 1930, in High Point, a son of Samuel Theodore and Mancie Craver Price, who both preceded him in death. He retired from Hatteras Yacht Inc. and later worked with Greensboro Parks and Recreation. He attended William Penn High School and served in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jonny Price.
Surviving are his wife, Lula McIntosh Price; two sons, Terry (Yvette) Price and Vincent (Robin) Price, all of High Point; three daughters, Theodora Ann (Kariem) Price, Pamela Price and Avis L. (Patrick) Blunt, all of High Point; four brothers, Edwin 'Turk' (Maggie) Price, Melvin (Jo Ann) Price, Jonnie (Cassandra) Roseboro, all of High Point, and Ray (Barbara) Price of San Diego; three sisters, Fannie Robinson, Etta Brannon of High Point and Shirley M. Price of Washington, D.C.; six grandchildren, Terry R. Price, Renee L. Davis, Tywayne M. Price, Dekalah M. Price, Qualin T. Price and Jashaun Davis; and five great-grandsons, Tadarrius R. Dumas, Jedarren T. Peterson, Teondra L. Payne, Quenisha J. Goodwin and Turquoia Payne; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Upper Room Baptist Church by the Rev. Terrance Evans. Burial will be in Carolina Biblical Gardens. Visitation will be 1:30-2 p.m. Saturday at the church and other times at the residence.

James Venable
High Point - James Perry Venable, 93, of Wesleyan Arms Inc. went home to meet his Lord and Savior at midnight, May 30, 2000.
He was born June 18, 1906, in Surry County, a son of John Albert and Julia Fleming Venable, who both preceded him in death. He lived the majority of his life in High Point. He worked in furniture manufacturing for 50 years and retired from Globe Furniture. He was a faithful member of First Wesleyan Church. He married the former Mabel Grout, who survives of 1909 N. Centennial St. He was preceded in death by a son, Horace Venable in 1999.
Also surviving are a daughter, Jewel Richardson of Pinellas Park, Fla.; a stepson, J. Adrian Grout and his wife, Janie, of Oklahoma City; a daughter-in-law, Martha Venable of High Point; a sister, Mary Bet Mitchell of Archdale; two grandsons, Vic Venable and Cliff Venable; and two great-granddaughters.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First Wesleyan Church by the Rev. Aron P. Willis, the Rev. Carroll M. Upton and the Rev. James L. Denny. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-8:30 p.m. Friday at Cumby Family Funeral Service, High Point.
Memorials may be directed to First Wesleyan Church, 1915 N. Centennial St., High Point, N.C. 27262.

Bessie Warner
Lexington - Mrs. Bessie Myers Warner, 82, of Brian Center Nursing Home, formerly of N.C. 150 died at 10:45 p.m. at the home after two years of declining health.
Funeral will be 3 p.m. Friday at Becks Lutheran Church. Visitation will be 6-8 tonight at Davidson Funeral Home.
