Maude Welborn
Trinity - Mrs. Maude Lillian Lambeth Hoover Welborn, 94, of Tru-Care of Archdale, formerly of 4020 Shannon Drive, died May 31, 2000, at the home.
She was born Jan. 25, 1906, in Davidson County, a daughter of John A. Lambeth and Flora Esther Nance Lambeth. She was a resident of Thomasville the majority of his life. She was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church in Thomasville and was a homemaker. She married Dewey Hoover, who preceded her in death. She later married Sigmon Welborn, who preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by a son, Ira Edgar Hoover.
Surviving are two sons, Billy V. Hoover and his wife, Evelyn, of High Point and Harold L. Hoover and his wife, Rachelle, of Trinity; two half sisters, Mrs. Ruth Fox of Florida and Mrs. Naoma Moore of Phoenix; three granddaughters, Miss Sharon Hoover, Mrs. Pamela Sells and Mrs. Michelle Carlisle; three great-grandsons, Mark Allen, Trent Carlisle and Nathan Carlisle.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday -in Floral Garden Park Cemetery, High Point. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home and other times at the respective homes.

Bernard Wilson
Jamestown - Bernard Thomas Wilson, 50, of 435-D Guilford College Road died May 29, 2000, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, where he was a patient for three months. He was a prior patient at High Point Regional Hospital for three weeks.
He was born in High Point, a son of Thomas Gaither and Aleane Young Wilson, who both preceded him in death. He attended High Point public schools. He was a member of Bethel Mt. Calvary Holiness Church of God, which was founded by his grandfather, Bishop K. Mingo. He retired from Miller Desk Co. and was a member of the Gospel Impressions of Winston-Salem. He was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Aleane Wilson.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Butler Wilson of the residence; six sons, Carlus Wilson, Anthony Wilson and his wife, Penny, LeShawn Wilson and Dwayne Terry, all of High Point, Christopher Wilson of Swannanoa and Duan Lattimore of Lancaster, S.C.; three daughters, Mrs. Juandalynn Rowe and her husband, William, and Mrs. Channauka Cook, all of High Point, and Mrs. Lecheskia Dockery and her husband, Robert, of Jamestown; 15 grandchildren; three brothers, Timothy Wilson of Statesville, Chris Wilson and his wife, Mary, and Donnie Wilson, all of High Point; two sisters, Ms. Carolyn Ingram of High Point and her husband, Kenneth, of Greensboro and Mrs. Darlene Wilson-Mitchell and her husband, Ronald, of High Point; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other in-laws and friends.
Funeral was 2 p.m. today at Living Water Baptist Church by Bishop Erskin Joe Young. Burial will be in Carolina Biblical Gardens.
Haizlip Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Vaden Blizzard
High Point - Mrs. Vaden Rothrock Blizzard, 91, died May 31, 2000, at High Point Regional Hospital.
She was born May 11, 1909, in Davidson County, a daughter of P. Dewitt and Ida Myers Rothrock. She was the eldest of seven children. She was a lifelong resident of this area. She was a homemaker and a self-employed hosiery seamer. She was a member of Fairgrove United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Clayton Blizzard and his wife, Susie, of High Point and Michael Blizzard and his wife, Gail, of Thomasville; a sister, Blanche R. Fritts of Thomasville; a granddaughter, Holly Blizzard; and a stepgrandson Christopher Robertson.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at J.C. Green & Sons Chapel by the Rev. David White. Burial will be in Fairgrove United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home and other times at the residence of her son, Michael Blizzard, 343 Jarrett Road.
Memorials may be directed to Fairgrove United Methodist Church, Perpetual Cemetery Care Fund, 204 Cedar Lodge Road, Thomasville, N.C. 27360.

Inez Cox
Robbins - Mrs. Inez Cox, 77, of 1692 Pinegrove Church Road died May 31, 2000.
Funeral will be 4 p.m. today at Browns Chapel Christian Church.
Phillips Funeral Home, Star, is in charge of arrangements.

Ana Fajardo
Thomasville - Mrs. Ana Dilia Fajardo, 51, of 145 Sunset Drive died May 30, 2000, at High Point Regional Hospital.
Funeral will be in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, at a later date. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Cumby Family Funeral Service, High Point.

Jean Harris
Lexington - Mrs. Jean Hege Harris, 61, of Staplewood Road died at 1 a.m. May 31, 2000, at her residence.
Memorial service will be 4 p.m. Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 3-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Aileen Kimmons
Trinity - Mrs. Aileen Miller Kimmons, 71, of 6397 N.C. 62 died June 1, 2000, at Randolph Hospital.
She was a native of Troy, and a member of Gospel Tabernacle Church. She was employed with Sew Special. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Miller and her son, Buddy Miller.
Surviving are four daughters, Carolyn Thompson and Rebecca Browning, both of Trinity, Cheryl Eads of High Point and Delores Hegmyer of Saluda, Va.; a son, Kevin Miller of Randleman; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Carolyn Edwards of Sophia.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday by the Rev. Robert Joseph Wood Jr. in Mt. Shepherd Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 tonight at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro.
Memorials may be directed to Gospel Tabernacle Church, 6397 N.C. 62, Trinity, N.C. 27370.

Annie Laxton
Lexington - Mrs. Annie Little Laxton, 83, of Goodluck Drive died at 6:02 p.m. May 31, 2000, at Lexington Memorial Hospital.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Samuel Price Jr.
High Point - Samuel Theodore 'Bubba' Price Jr., 69, of 1408 Boundary Ave. died May 30, 2000, at High Point Regional Hospital.
He was born Sept. 9, 1930, in High Point, a son of Samuel Theodore and Mancie Craver Price, who both preceded him in death. He retired from Hatteras Yacht Inc. and later worked with Greensboro Parks and Recreation. He attended William Penn High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and received the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Metal, National Defense Service Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Purple Heart and Good Conduct Medal. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jonny Price.
Surviving are his wife, Lula McIntosh Price; two sons, Terry Price and Vincent Price, all of High Point; two daughters, Theodora A. Price and Pamela D. Price; a goddaughter, Avis L. Blunt, all of High Point; four brothers, Edwin 'Turk' Price, Melvin Price, Johnny Roseboro, all of High Point, and Ray Price of San Diego; three sisters, Fannie Price Robinson, Etta Price Brannon of High Point and Shirley M. Price of Washington, D.C.; 11 grandchildren, Terri R. Price, Renee L. Davis, Tywayne M. Price, Dekalah M. Price, Devon J. Price, Qualin T. Price, Tadarrius R. Dumas, Jedarren T. Peterson, Teondra L. Payne, Quenisha J. Goodwin and Turquoia Payne;one great-grandchild, Jashaun A. Davis; two daughters-in-law, Yvette Price and Robin Davis Price; a son-in-law, Kariem Bilal; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other in-laws and friends.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Upper Room Baptist Church, 166 Ravina Lane, by Terrance Evans. Burial will be in Carolina Biblical Gardens. Visitation will be 1:30-2 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Alton Sexton
Denton - Alton R. Sexton, 75, died at his residence.
Funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be 1-2:30 p.m. Saturday prior to the service.

Mary Turpin
High Point - Mrs. Mary Pepper Turpin, 80, of 805 Country Club Drive died at 4 p.m. June 1, 2000, at High Point Regional Hospital.
Cumby Family Funeral Service, High Point, is in charge of arrangements.

Ruth Kye
Randleman - Mrs. Ruth Elizabeth Lavender Kye, 56, died June 1, 2000.
Memorial service will be 4 p.m. Monday at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel.

Iola Marshall
Lexington - Mrs. Iola Weaver Marshall, 83, of Boaze Road died June 2, 2000, at her residence after declining health of one year.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6-8 tonight at Davidson Funereal Home.

Anthony Melton
Greensboro - Anthony Wayne Melton, 34, of 1703-C Montrose Drive died May 31, 2000, at Wesley Long Community Hospital after four days of hospitalization.
He was born July 21, 1965, in Anson County, a son of John and Betty Melton Kersey. He was a 1983 graduate of Ragsdale High School and attended Benedict College. He served in the U.S. Army, earning the rank of Specialist E-4 and in 1987, he was honorably discharged. He was employed at Industry for the Blind of Greensboro. He was a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church and a member of VFW Post #5574.
Surviving are his parents of High Point; five brothers, Carl (Linda) Melton of Dayton, Ohio, Curtis Melton and John Edward Kersey, both of High Point, Gary Melton of Elizabeth City and Demetrus Tyrone Kersey of the residence; three nephews; three nieces; cousins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral will be 7:30 tonight at Hargett-Gilmore Memorial Chapel by the Rev. F.O. Bass Jr. Burial will be private Monday at the National Cemetery, Salisbury. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service and other times at the residence of his parents, 320 Brentwood St.
