Mrs. Clara Frazier Lohr, 85, formerly of 219 Tarheel Drive, most recently of Britthaven of Davidson, died Oct. 14, 2000, at Community General Hospital in Thomasville.
She was born Oct. 27, 1914, in Randolph County, a daughter of George W. and Mamie Parker Frazier. She was a retired employee of Adams-Millis Corp. and had been a resident of Archdale and Trinity most of her life. She was a member of Trinity Memorial United Methodist Church. On June 16, 1934, she married Robert Harold Lohr, who survives of the residence.
Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Linda) Styron of Sophia; four sisters, Mrs. Guy (Pauline) Brewer of High Point, Mrs. Tom (Edna) Crotts of Trinity, Mrs. Eva Jackson of Portland, Ore., and Mrs Ray (Dorothy) Kinley of Trinity; two grandchildren; Karen Frank and her husband, Bill, and Robert Charles Styron; and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Floral Garden Park Cemetery by the Rev. Harold Shives. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale.
Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimers Association, 3420 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, N.C. 28215.

R. McDonald

Richard Kent McDonald, 55, of 185 South Road died Oct. 14, 2000, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Briggs Funeral Home, Denton.

Dorothy Morgan
Lexington
Mrs. Dorothy Gladys Frick Morgan, 82, of Hillside Drive died Oct. 15, 2000, at Sunbridge Health and Rehabilitation Center for Lexington.
She was born Feb. 13, 1918, in Stanley County, a daughter of Arthur and Ora Howard Frick. She was a graduate of Salisbury Beauty College and owner and operator of Magic Corner Beauty Shop. She was a member of North Lexington Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Golfred Hilbreand Morgan of the residence; a son, Johnny Morgan of Lexington; two daughters, Joann Alexander of Center, Texas, and Barbara Brewer of High Point; nine grandchildren, Jane Morgan Rafferty of Wake Forest, Monica Morgan of Belmont, Karen Alexander Zuckero of Spring, Texas, Dale Alexander of Center, Texas, Sydney Lohr of Buies Creek, Mary Berkley Lohr Antinori of Lexington and Matthew, Edwin and David Brewer, all of High Point; four great-grandchildren of Texas; two brothers, Sylvester Frick of Richfield and Ray Frick of Old Fort; and a half sister, Hermenia Ford of Albermarle.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Robert Floyd and Dr. Dearl Bunce. Entombment will be in Forest Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be 6-8 tonight at the funeral home and other times at the residence.

Beth Rhodes
High Point
Mrs. Beth Long Rhodes, 85, of Maryfield Nursing Home died Oct. 15, 2000, at the home.
She was born July 14, 1915, in Hamilton, a daughter of Edgar Miller and Mary Rebecca Worsley Long. She had been a resident of High Point for the past two years. She retired from Wilson Drug Co. and was a member of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in Wilson. On April 9, 1938, she married William Braxton Rhodes, who preceded her in death in November 1980.
Surviving are a daughter, Rebecca Rhodes Smothers and her husband, Ed, of 1843 Country Club Road; a sister, Peggy Leigh of Chapel Hill; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be held at a later date at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in Wilson.
Memorials may be directed to Maryfield Nursing Home, 1315 Greensboro Road, High Point, N.C. 27260 or to the charity of the donor's choice.

Mrs. Edna Adams, 78, of 409 Barnwell St. died Oct. 15, 2000, at Community General Hospital.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Central Wesleyan Church. Visitation will be 7-9 tonight at J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home.

Eddie Cannon
Lexington
Eddie Junior Cannon, 81, of Arvil Hunt Road died at 1:30 a.m. Oct. 16, 2000, at SunBridge Nursing Home after declining health of a year.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Louise Charlton
High Point
Mrs. Louise Surrett Charlton, 79, died Oct. 16, 2000, at High Point Regional Hospital after a stroke she suffered Oct. 3, 2000.
She was born Feb. 9, 1921, in Union, S.C., a daughter of Charles and Bertha Davis Surrett. She was a High Point resident the majority of her life and retired from Western Electric Corp. in Greensboro. She was a member of Hayworth Wesleyan Church, the Berean Sunday School Class and the Young At Heart Club. On July 12, 1945, she married Donald Charlton, who preceded her in death Oct. 24, 1999.
Surviving are two sons, Paul David Charlton and his wife, Fatima, and Richard Dean Charlton and his wife, Ruth, all of High Point; four grandchildren, Samantha Halker, Jason Charlton, Emily Charlton and Eva Charlton; and three great-grandchildren, Hanna, Emma and Alexis.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Hayworth Wesleyan Church by the Rev. David M. Emery. Entombment will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Cumby Family Funeral Service, High Point.
Memorials may be directed to Hayworth Memorial Wesleyan Church, 1696 Westchester Drive, High Point, N.C. 27262.

Helen Davis
High Point
Ms. Helen Davis, 89, of 707 N. Elm St. died Oct. 15, 2000.

Timothy Ford
High Point
Timothy Allen Ford, 18 months, of 1514 Valley Ridge Drive died Oct. 15, 2000, at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, where he was a patient since July.
He was born April 8, 1999, in Thomasville, a son of Tony Lee Ford and Stacy Mills Ford, who both survive. He spent all his life in High Point.
Also surviving are a brother, Brandon Lee Ford of High Point; his paternal grandparents, Daniel and Carol McGuire of Danville, Va.; his paternal great-grandmother, Virgie McGuire Williams of Roanoke, Va.; and his maternal grandparents, Jerry Ronald Mills of Thomasville and Revanda Styles of High Point; his maternal great-grandparents, Clarence and Martha Mills of Dry Fork; maternal great-grandmother, Linda Rose of Thomasville; and his maternal great-great-grandparents, James and Louise Carlton of Thomasville.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Danville Memorial Gardens, Danville, Va., by the Rev. Earl Harrison. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at Swicegood Funeral Home Inc., Danville, and at other times at the residence of his paternal grandparents, Daniel and Carol McGuire, 365 Lakeside Drive, Danville.

Henry Gooch
Henry Ellis Gooch, 57, of 1540 Hampton St. died Oct. 16, 2000.
Funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 7-9 tonight at the funeral home.

Bessie Ling
Archdale
Mrs. Bessie Wolford Padgett Ling, 93, of Graybrier Nursing and Retirement Center, formerly of 107 Columbus Ave., died Oct. 16, 2000, at the nursing facility.
She was born April 23, 1907, in Buchanan County, Va., a daughter of John and Cordelia Smith Wolford. She lived the majority of her life in the Archdale and High Point area. She retired from Kearns Tent and Awning Co. She was a lifetime member of the Salvation Army Church and taught Sunday school. She was a very active worker with the Salvation Army, active member for more than 50 years with the League of Mercy and had been a Home League Secretary. She was a correspondent to members of the U.S. Armed Services since World War II through the Persian Gulf War. She married Henry Murphy Ling, who preceded her in death March 26, 1967. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Ling Eldridge in 1979.
Surviving are two daughters, Ann Ling Prenatt of Archdale and Nita Ling Gibbs of High Point; two sons, M. Gene Ling of High Point and C. Jack Ling of Archdale; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Salvation Army, 121 S.W. Cloverleaf Place, by Major Paul Herzog and Lieutenant Joseph May. Burial will be in Floral Garden park Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at Cumby Family Funeral Service, High Point, and other times at the residence of M. Gene Ling, 611 Whittier Ave., High Point, or at the residence of Nita Gibbs, 1616 Lakewood Drive, High Point.

Richard McDonald
High Point
Richard Kent McDonald, 55, of 185 South Road died Oct. 14, 2000, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
He was born Nov. 1, 1944, in Guilford County, a son of Charles M. and Rose Jane King McDonald. He was employed with Caraway Furniture Co. in Sophia as a security agent. He was a member of the Disciples of Christ Church in High Point. He was a graduate of High Point Central High School and attended Guilford Technical Community College.
Surviving are his father and stepmother, Charles M. and Cosie McDonald of Regan Road, Lexington; two brothers, Charles M. McDonald Jr. of Statesville and Darrell W. McDonald of Lexington.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Floral Garden Park Cemetery by the Rev. Raymond Craven. Visitation will be 6:30-8:30 tonight at Briggs Funeral Home, Denton.

Mrs. Ruth Elizabeth Lambert Phillips, 73, died Oct. 15, 2000.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 7-9 tonight at the funeral home.

G. Rothrock
Kernersville
Mrs. Gretchen Hedgecock Rothrock, 79, of 2360 Pine Meadow Drive and a resident of High Point Care Center, died Oct. 16, 2000.
She was born in Forsyth County, a daughter of William and Eula Glascoe Hedgecock, who both preceded her in death. She was a retiree of High Point Care Center and a member of Bunker Hill United Methodist Church. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad Rothrock, in 1994, and a daughter, Judy Chenoweth, in 1997.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Elmer Mabe of Kernersville; three sons, Kenneth Rothrock and Donald Rothrock, both of Kernersville, and James Rothrock and his wife, Sabra, of New London; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Clodfelter of Archdale; and a brother, William Hedgecock of High Point.
Funeral will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Bunker Hill United Methodist Church by the Rev. Dana McKim. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Hayworth Miller Cain Funeral Home and at other times at the residence of her daughter, 2370 Pine Meadow Drive.
Memorials may be directed to the Bunker Hill United Methodist Church, 1510 Bunker Hill Road, Kernersville, N.C. 27284.

Nell Willard
Hereford, Ariz.
Mrs. Neil Lovings Willard, 71, formerly of Kersey Valley Road, died Oct. 12, 2000, in Hereford.
She was born Feb. 18, 1929, in Union, S.C., a daughter of Charlie and Lillie Trammell Lovings. She moved to High Point, N.C., in 1966, and later moved to Hereford in 1999. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray A. Willard and a daughter, Pamela J. Meris.
Surviving are a son, Dennis Willard and his wife, Donna, of Hereford; two sisters, Agatha Sinclair and Faye Smith, both of Union, S.C.; four grandchildren, Scott Willard of Arizona, Ashley Warlick of Hawaii, Karen Tucker of High Point and Cindy Meris of Greensboro, N.C.; three great-grandchildren, Jessica Turner of High Point, Samantha Tucker of High Point and Kayla McChristy of Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Shining Light Baptist Church Cemetery, Greensboro. Visitation will be 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Sechrest Funeral Service, 1301 E. Lexington Ave., High Point, N.C.

Harvey Adams
Randleman
Harvey Wilkerson Adams, 78, of 6087 Old Walker Mill Road died Oct. 17, 2000, at Wesley Long Community Hospital in Greensboro.
He was a native of Randleman and a retired building contractor. He was a member of Old Union United Methodist Church and a charter member of Level Cross Civitan and Level Cross Volunteer Fire Department. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having servied during World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Marjorie Spillman Adams of Randleman; a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Donna Adams of Randleman; three daughters and sons-in-law, Katherine and Mike Kesslick of Jamestown, Judy and Randy Coble and Patty and Steve Starr, all of Randleman; and three granddaughters, Jamie Cline, Heidi Kesslick and Hannah Starr.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Old Union United Methodist Church Cemetery, Sophia, by the Rev. Marion Fulk. Visitation will be 7-9 tonight at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 S. Main St. and other times at the residence.
