The Rev. Coy Isaiah Crowe, 96, of Howard Street, formerly of Roseland Street, Greensboro, died Dec. 17, 2000, at Autumn Care of Mocksville.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Community Evangelical Methodist Church, 1275 Joe Moore Road, Thomasville by the Rev. Billy Carey.
Eaton Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Helen Fox
Statesville
Mrs. Helen Rouse Fox, 76, of 126 Morning Dove Lane died Jan. 18, 2001, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.
She was born Feb. 27, 1924, in Danville, Va., a daughter of Roland William and Maggie Williams Rouse, who both preceded her in death. She was educated at Queens College. She was a homemaker and a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. On Feb. 27, 1944, she married O.H. Fox Jr., who also preceded her in death April 27, 1987.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Dolores F. and Marshall Greene of Statesville; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Susan Fox of High Point; five grandchildren, David Greene, Amanda Church, Richard Greene, Michael Fox Jr. and Shannon F. Hancock; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at St. John’s Lutheran Church by the Rev. Thomas Corbell. Burial will be 4 p.m. Saturday in Sharon Memorial Park, Charlotte. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home and 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the church parlor of St. John’s Lutheran Church and other times at the residence of Dolores and Marshall Greene, 126 Morning Dove Lane.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Memorials may be directed to Lebanon United Methodist Church, Idol Street, High Point, N.C. 27260 or to the American Cancer Society, 500 E. Morehead St., Suite 211, Charlotte, N.C. 28202.

Linda Hardy
Winston-Salem
Mrs. Linda Hardy, 49, took her flight unto a land of a never setting sun at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
She was born Jan. 4, 1954, in Forsyth County, a daughter of Roscoe Lee Smith, who preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death her grandson Sai’Heed. She was a graduate of West Forsyth High School.
Surviving to cherish her loving memories are her mother, Daisy Mae Blackburn of Winston-Salem; her husband, James Cecil Hardy of South Carolina; a son, James Cecil Hardy Jr. of Winston-Salem; a daughter, Lea Cheretta Hardy of Winston-Salem; a grandson, Eric Murden Jr. of Winston-Salem; two brothers, Robert and Roger Blackburn, both of Winston-Salem; six sisters, Mary Catherine Bowles, Alice B. Conrad, Vera Veronica Blackburn and Karen Elizabeth Crowell, all of Winston-Salem, Carol Jean Everhart of Charlotte and Debra Louise Wallace of Mocksville; a very devoted friend and nephew, Diane Bailey Carter and Leon Conrad; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Frances S. & Jerry C. Gilmore Memorial Chapel by the Rev. Robert Bailey and the Rev. Rita Jones. Burial will be in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 11-11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Gilmore Memorial Chapel. Funeral cortege will assemble and leave from 1807 LongView Drive.
Gilmore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pat Hart
High Point
Mrs. Pat Patterson Hart, 86, of High Point Place died Jan. 17, 2001, at her residence.
She was born Nov. 2, 1914, in High Point, a daughter of George Byron and Sarah Lydia Key Patterson. She was a lifelong resident of High Point. She graduated from High Point High School and Guilford Business College. On April 4, 1936, she married Calvin L. Hart, who survives of the residence. She retired from H.C. McPherson as an accountant and bookkeeper in 1973.
She was a charter member of the YMCA Agenda Club (formerly the Live-Y’ers), sustaining member of the High Point Hospital Guild, American Red Cross volunteer with High Point Regional Hospital and she also was a volunteer with Mobile Meals Program. She was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, honorary life member of the administrative board and a member and co-secretary of the Peacock Bible Class. She served on the welcoming committee and was a member and historian of the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Friendly Club, Marthas and Stephens “70s” Visitation Group and Wednesday Bible Study Group. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jane Hart McGee.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lauralee Sands and her husband, Francis, of Jacksonville, Fla.; a son, Dr. James Cleaver Hart and his wife, Anne, of Raleigh; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Ruth Martinez and her husband, Phil, of Albany, Calif.
Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church by the Rev. C. Garland Young and the Rev. Beverly G. Gaska. Inurnment will be in the church columbarium.
Memorials may be directed to Wesley Memorial United Methodist New Building Fund, P.O. Box 5289, High Point, N.C. 27262 or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
Sechrest Funeral Service, E. Lexington Avenue, is in charge of arrangements.

Lexington
Roy “Tex” Henderson, 94, of Arrington Drive died at 12:10 a.m. Jan. 18, 2001, at Lexington Memorial Hospital after a serious illness of one week.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8 tonight at the funeral home and other times at the residence.

Sarah Kennedy
Thomasville
Mrs. Sarah Walters Kennedy, 76, of 1483 Jacob St. died Jan. 17, 2001, at Community General Hospital.
Memorial graveside service will be 3 p.m. today in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be at the residence of her sister, Mrs. Ruby Reid, 407 Pennington Ave.

Ada Lee
Archdale
Mrs. Ada Cox Lee, 82, of Albertson Road, died Jan. 16, 2001, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at J.C. Green & Sons, Thomasville.

James Winfrey
High Point
James “Jim” Edward Winfrey, 75, of 3411 Greenhill Drive died at 6 a.m. Jan. 18, 2001, at High Point Regional Hospital after declining health of several months.
He was born Oct. 15, 1925, in Guilford County, a son of Edward L. and Effie Rush Winfrey. He was a lifelong resident of High Point. He retired from Leggett-Platt Inc. as a supervisor. He was a member of the Junior Order United American Mechanics for more than 50 years. He was a member of Green Street Baptist Church. On Aug. 26, 1945, he was married to Jessie Culler, who survives of the residence.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Larry (Pat) Lawson of High Point and Mrs. Lee (Dell) Wolfe of Trinity; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a brother, Gerald L. Winfrey of 828 Ferndale Blvd.; and his mother of 608 Everette Lane.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, Eastchester Drive, by the Rev. Fred G. Culler and the Rev. Gene A. Phillips. Entombment will be in Oakwood Mausoleum. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to Green Street Baptist Church Building Fund, 303 N. Rotary Drive, High Point, N.C. 27262 or to the Gideons International, P.O. Box 5275, High Point, N.C. 27262.

Ola Mae Baker
High Point
Mrs. Ola Mae Baker, of 609 Fairview St., died Jan. 19, 2001.
She was employed with the High Point Housing Authority.
Survivors include sons, Henry Lee Baker, Johnnie Davis Baker, Samuel Lee Baker; daughters, Rosa Mae Baker, Geneva Baker, Katie Lee Baker, all of High Point; parents, Charlie Wilson and Licinda B. Wilson, both of Latta, S.C.; brothers, Luther Wilson of Dillion, S.C., Charlie B. Wilson, Robert Wilson, Edward Wilson, Vernon Wilson, Clyde Wilson, all of High Point; sisters, Annie Ruth Carmichael, Joyce Wilson, Polly Wilson, Elizabeth Bryant, Patricia Malloy, all of High Point, Carol Jean Alford of Marion, S.C.; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at Christ Cathedral Christian Center, 2440 Brentwood St., High Point. Visitation 30 minutes prior to the service at the church. Hargett Funeral Service, High Point, is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Kate Vernon Crotts Carrick, 72, of 908 Cunningham Brick Yard Road, died Jan. 21, 2001 in Community General Hospital.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Free Pilgrim Church by the Revs. Steven Manley, Joseph Smith and Randall Crotts. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home.

Mrs. Pearlie Mae Jackson Causey, 75, died Jan. 21, 2001.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. tonight at the funeral home and at other times at the home.

Winston-Salem
Mr. Olon Martin Mickle, 59, of 338 Barnes Rd., died Jan. 20, 2001 at his home.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home, Wallburg Chapel.

Donna Morgan
Sanford
Mrs. Donna Jones Gleason Morgan, 47, of 311 Harbor Trace, died Jan. 21, 2001.
She was born April 20, 1953 in Guilford County, a daughter of Billy G. and Nan J. Jones. She spent most of her life in the High Point area and was a member of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, J.E. “Rusty” Morgan Jr. of the home, two children, Chad Gleason of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Erica Gleason of Archdale; two sisters, Delores Fowler and her husband Bob of High Point and Debbie Williams and her husband Alan of Archdale.
Memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday from the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, High Point, by the Rev. John Allard and Rev. Ray Hamilton. Visitation will be 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and at other times at the home of her parents, 1022 Springwood Lane, Archdale.
