Elizabeth H. Hutchins, 91, died Feb. 3, 2001, at Carolina Commons Nursing Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph H. Hutchins.
Surviving are two daughters, Sue L. Kelly of Greensboro and Christine McIntyre and husband, Bill, of Lancaster, S.C.; one son, William C. Lines and wife, Iola, of Greensboro; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Floral Garden Cemetery in High Point. Visitation will be 7-8:30 p.m. today at the Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
Memorials may be directed to the Sedgefield Baptist Church Building Fund, 6007 High Point Rd., Greensboro, N.C. 27407.

Daneze Leach
High Point
Mrs. Daneze Davis Leach, 89, of 1310 Kersey Valley Rd. died Feb. 4, 2001, at High Point Regional Hospital.
She was born June 10, 1911, in Guilford County, the daughter of Charles Winfield Davis and Janie Sullivan Davis. In 1974, she retired from Addlers Sample Book Company. She was the oldest member of Bales Chapel Wesleyan Church.
She was preceded in death by two infant sons and a sister, Mrs. Eva Melton.
On Dec. 23, 1928, she married Willie Leach, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 23, 1996.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Addline Hill and husband, Walter, of High Point; one niece, Mrs. Melinda Suggs of Knoxville, Tenn.; three nephews, Jim Hill of Colfax; Tom Melton of Palatka, Fla., and Neil Melton of Pawhuska, Okla.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bales Chapel Wesleyan Church by Rev. Doug Dennis and Rev. Wes Brown. Interment will be in Hickory Chapel Wesleyan Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-8:30 p.m. today at Sechrest Funeral Home on E. Lexington Avenue. The body will remain at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to Bales Chapel Wesleyan Church, 1000 Bales Chapel Rd., Jamestown, N.C. 27282.

Patsy Norris
Greensboro
Mrs. Patsy Rogan Norris, 61, of 1406-H Bridford Parkway died Jan. 30, 2001, at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Norris.
Surviving are her children, Joe Garcia of Vacaville, Calif., Mark Garcia, U.S. Navy, stationed in Japan, Chris Garcia of LaMirada, Calif. and Tony Garcia of Benicia, Calif.; her sister, Nancy Grimes of Greensboro; and her brother, Jack Rogan of Placerville, Calif.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hanes-Lineberry Vanstory Chapel. Entombment will be at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association, 202 Centreport Dr., Greensboro, N.C. 27409.

Mrs. Joanne Carolina Woodard died Feb. 3, 2001.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Hargett Funeral Service Inc. in High Point.

Ms. Rebecca Chappell died Jan. 31, 2001, at King Brooklyn Jewish Hospital.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, High Point. Visitation will be 1:30-2 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

Mrs. Martha V. Crenshaw, 78, of 221 Boyer St. died Feb. 5, 2001, at her residence.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale.

William Foust Jr.
Thomasville
William Alexander Foust Jr. of 200-E Memorial Park Drive died Feb. 1, 2001, at Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro after a brief illness.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Grove Baptist Church, Greensboro, by the Rev. James A. Johnson. Burial will be in Holly Hill Memorial Park, Thomasville. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Friendship Baptist Church, 106 Smith St. The funeral cortege will leave at 1:15 p.m. Thursday from the residence of his sister, Mrs. Vivian Foust Morrison, 316-B Brentwood St., High Point, for the funeral.
Thomas-Haizlip Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

I. Hathaway
Newport News
Mrs. Irene Clary Hathaway, 82, died Feb. 4, 2001.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Randolph Memorial Park. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at Ridge Funeral Home, Asheboro, N.C., and other times at the residence of Ann and Vernon Callicutt, 615 Sunset Ave, Asheboro.

Lilia Hearne
High Point
Mrs. Lilia Pemberton Hearne, 90, died Feb. 3, 2001.
She was born in Mt. Gilead, a daughter of Sel and Mary R. Pemberton, who both preceded her in death. She retired from the Sheraton Hotel. She was a member of First Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Lency H. Hamlin, Annie Hudson and Cora Jones; two brothers, Soloman and James Pemberton.
Surviving are four nieces, Bessie P. Williams, who was just like a daughter, Mary (James) Hopkins of Greensboro, Bessie Richardson and Rosetta Haywood, both of High Point; four nephews, James (Carol) Jones, Seaborn (Willie) Jones, Nathaniel (Willette) Jones and Cecil Moore, all of High Point; and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Emmanuel Baptist Church by the Rev. Lawrence Curtis. Burial will be in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service Wednesday and other times at the residence of Bessie Williams, 124-E Northgate, High Point.
Hoover Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Fannie Hemric
Archdale
Mrs. Fannie “Lizzie” Way Hemric, 87, of Westwood Health & Rehabilitation Center, formerly of 2607 Ingram Road, died Feb. 4, 2001, at High Point Regional Hospital.
She was born May 10, 1913, in Guilford County, a daughter of James and Ida Lou Berrier Way, who both preceded her in death. She was a lifelong resident of High Point. She retired from Triangle Hosiery Co. She attended Trinity Heights Wesleyan Church. She was married to Grady “Bill” Hemric, who preceded her in death in 1972. She also was preceded in death by two sons, Billy S. Hemric and Donald L. Hemric.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ernest (Bettie) Fritts of High Point; a sister, Pearl Gussler, of Ashland, Ky.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale, by the Rev. James Capps and the Rev. Harold Pharr. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home and other times at the residence of her daughter, 2607 Ingram Road, High Point.

Myrtle Jones
Trinity
Mrs. Myrtle Gallimore Hughes Jones, 93, of Graybrier Nursing Center, formerly of Dorothy Street, High Point, died Feb. 5, 2001, at the nursing center.
She was born Dec. 16, 1907, in Davidson County, a daughter of James Gallimore and Hattie Myers Gallimore. She retired from Thomasville Furniture Industries. She was a charter member of Walters Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her two sons, James Clifford Hughes and Fred Alexander Hughes.
Surviving are two sons, Arlie Hughes and his wife, Dorothy, of Greensboro and Robert Lee Hughes and his wife, Verda, of High Point; three sisters, Virgie Yates of Jackson Creek, Avis Surratt of Denton and Mamie Shuler of Lexington; a brother, Paul Gallimore of Lexington; 20 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and 53 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at J.C. Green & Sons Chapel, Thomasville, by the Rev. Jeremy Simpson. Burial will be in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 tonight and other times at the residence of her son, Robert Hughes, 523 South Road, High Point.
Memorials may be directed to Walters Grove Baptist Church, 2610 Cid Road, Lexington, N.C. 27292.

J. King Sr.
Winston-Salem
Jeffrey David King Sr., 55, of Winston-Salem, died Feb. 3, 2001.
He was born April 30, 1945, in Albany, N.Y., a son of John Edgar and Lorraine Oostdyke King. He was a graduate of Hudson Valley College in Troy, N.Y., and Murray State University in Kentucky in 1968. He was vice president of BB&T Bank and in charge of mergers and acquisitions.
He was involved with many various charitable organizations, including Muscular Dystrophy Association fund-raising; Horizon House for emotionally disturbed children; director of the Winston-Salem Harley Owners Group Chapter (HOG); president of Freedom Memorial Wall Committee; board member of March of Dimes Bikers for Babies; Fox 8 Toys for Kids; and Salvation Army Toys for Tots. He was preceded in death by his father in 1984.
Surviving are his loving wife, Charo King of the residence; two sons, Jeffrey David King Jr. of Winston-Salem and Patrick John King of Raleigh; his mother of Winston-Salem; a brother, John E. King of North Hero Island, Vt.; and many cousins in the Northeast.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Burkhead United Methodist Church by the Rev. Kathie C. Sherrill and the Rev. Kenneth M. Johnson. Inurnment be in Forsyth Memorial Park. Visitation will be 7-9 tonight at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
Memorials may be directed to Burkhead United Methodist Church, 5250 Silas Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, N.C. 27106.
