Allen Carthell Chriscoe, 71, of 3145 Rainbow Loop, Asheboro, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1998, at his home.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro, with the Rev. Nellie Bescher officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Seagrove.

He was a native of Randolph County, retired from Klaussner Furniture Industries and was a charter member of Whispering Pines Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are wife, Louise Loflin Chriscoe of Asheboro; daughter, Wanda Chriscoe Grant of Asheboro; son, Donnie Chriscoe of Asheboro; brother, Dwight Chriscoe of Central Falls; sisters, Thelma Brown, Eva Kiser, both of Seagrove; five grandchildren.

The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Friday.

Memorials may be made to donor's choice.

RANDLEMAN - Keith M. Smith, 76, of 5203 Fred Lineberry Road, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1998, at High Point Regional Hospital.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Pugh Funeral Home, Randleman.

SEAGROVE - Eugene Cagle, 79, of 705 Hancock Road, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1998, at Randolph Hospital.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Phillips Funeral Home, Star, with the Rev. Philip J. Birchall officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

He was a native of Montgomery County, a retired truck driver and a member of Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church.

Surviving are wife, Mae Hancock Cagle of Seagrove; sons, Clinton E. Cagle of Randleman, Noel F. Cagle, Jimmy R. Cagle, both of Seagrove; sisters, Sadie Hughes, Audrey Brooks, both of Asheboro; five stepgrandchildren.

The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Thursday.

John C. Morgan

ROBBINS - John Curtis Morgan, 73, of 1884 Browns Mill Road, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 1998, at his home.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Providence Chapel Christian Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Robert Hittepole, the Rev. Hayes Ritter and the Rev. J.B. Hussey officiating. Burial will be in Browns Chapel Christian Church Cemetery.

He was a native of Moore County and a retired assistant supervisor with Perdue Company.

Surviving are wife, Arlene Brewer Morgan; sister, Virginia Faye Brewer of Robbins; half sisters, Loretta Moore of Robbins, Sadie East of Eagle Springs; half brothers, Howard Allred, Medford Allred, Harold Allred, all of Robbins; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren,

Bronnah M. Flinchum

ROBBINS - Bronnah Mae Flinchum, 87, of 719 River Road, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1998, at her home.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Fair Promise United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Bobby Fletcher and the Rev. David Murphy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She was a native of Moore County, a member of the Adult Sunday School class and the United Methodist Women at her church and was a homemaker.

Surviving are daughter, Maxine Hill of the home; stepson, Glenn Flinchum of Cary; sister, Swannie S. Brady of Robbins; one granddaughter; one great-grandson; six stepgrandchildren; 13 stepgreat-grandchildren.

The family will be at Kennedy Funeral Home, Robbins, 7-9 p.m. Friday, other times at the home.

Sever W. Spencer Jr.

ROBBINS - Sever Winton Spencer Jr., 58, of 600 Park St., died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1998, at his home.

Funeral service will be 4 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ernest Ferrell and the Rev. Fred Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Pine Rest Cemetery with full military honors.

He was a native of Chester County, Pa., was in the U.S. Army for 22 years and was an employee of the Town of Robbins.

Surviving are wife, Terry Spencer of the home; daughters, Tracy Marie Zeimann of Cockeysville, Md., Joy Iglesias of North East, Md., Jocarol Spencer of Newark, Del.; stepdaughter, Melissa Lynn Smith of the home; foster daughter, Melinda Sue Chavis of the home; son, Joseph Edward Spencer of Daytona Beach, Fla.; mother and stepfather, Irene and David Giroso of Daytona Beach, Fla.; stepbrother, Joseph A. Giroso of San Antonio, Texas; eight grandchildren.

The family will be at Kennedy Funeral Home, Robbins, 7-9 p.m. Thursday, other times at the home.

Funeral service will be 4 p.m. Saturday at First Wesleyan Church, Randleman, where he was a member, with the Rev. Alvin C. Newcomb and the Rev. Todd McDonald officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.

He was a native of McGraw, N.Y., and was a retired employee of N.Y. State Department of Environmental Conservation.

Surviving are wife, Caroline Rome Smith of Randleman; son, Donald Smith of Solon, N.Y.; daughters, Donna Smith Osborne of Cortland, N.Y., Penny Smith Smith of Randleman, Susan Smith Smith of Dryden, N.Y.; stepsons, Daniel E. Heath of Randleman, Bernard A. Heath of Asheboro; stepdaughters, Cynthia A. Siefken of Ellsworth, Ma., Cheryl D. Nelson of Sophia; brother, Russell Knecht of McGraw, N.Y.; 20 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

The family will be at Pugh Funeral Home, Randleman, 7-9 p.m. Friday, other times at the home of Penny S. Smith, 248 S. Main St., Randleman.

BISCOE - Orlendo T. Saunders, 90, formerly of Asheboro, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1998, at Autumn Care of Biscoe.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Victory Baptist Church, with the Rev. Johnny Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

He was a native of Randolph County and a retired lumber mill employee.

Surviving are daughters, Canary Kennedy, Iris Owens, both of Seagrove, Louise Ray of Robbins; sons, Clyde Saunders of Robbins, Wilmer Saunders of Star, Cecil Saunders of Eagle Springs, Bobby Saunders of Randleman, Lonnie Saunders of Asheboro, Gary Saunders of Seagrove; sister, Bessie McNeill of Asheboro; 33 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.

The family will be at Phillips Funeral Home, Star, 7-9 p.m. Friday, other times at the home of Canary Kennedy, 147 Kennedy Lane, Seagrove.

Delcie O. Davis

GOLDSTON - Delcie Oldham Davis, 100, of 411 Daurity Road, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1998, at her home.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Bethany Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Wayne Rigney officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She was a native of Chatham County and a homemaker.

Surviving are son, Alfred Davis of Goldston; daughters, Ruth Taylor of Winston-Salem, Virginia Lynch of Burlington; sisters, Bertha Lloyd of Raleigh, Helen Eppley of Vienna, Va.; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren.

The family will be at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, Siler City, 6-8 p.m. Friday.

Surviving are husband, Don W. Jones Sr. of the home; sons, Steven A. Jones, Gregory L. Jones and Don W. Jones Jr., all of Lexington; daughter, Tamara D. Jones of Richmond, Va.; brother, Arnold Lane of King; three grandchildren.

Frederick A. O'Neill

TAMPA, Fla. - Frederick A. O'Neill, 69, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1998, at University Community Hospital.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Fairview Cemetery in Liberty, with the Rev. Bryan Fox officiating.

He was a native of Indianapolis, Ind., an education counselor with the U.S. Air Force for 23 years, began the Air War College in Turkey and received six Superior Service Awards in Okinawa, Japan.

Surviving are wife, Helen Herndon O'Neill of Tampa, Fla.

The family will be at the home of Nell Herndon in Liberty 3-5 p.m. Sunday.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1114 Magnolia St., Greensboro, N.C. 27401.

Earl D. Presley

CARTHAGE - Earl Douglas Presley, 52, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 1998, at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Cross Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Dr. Al Martin officiating.

He was a native of Moore County.

Surviving are sisters, Nancy Crabtree of Jacksonville, Fla., Frances Martin of Anniston, Ala., and Margaret Thomas of Charleston, S.C.; brother, J. Curtis Presley of Carthage.

The family will be at the home of J. Curtis Presley, Holly Street, Carthage.

GREENSBORO - John Carroll Rumbaugh, 66, of 1705 Glenoaks Drive, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 1998, at High Point Regional Hospital.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Hinshaw Memorial United Methodist Church in Greensboro, where he was a member, with Dr. Stephen M. Martin officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran and employed as a computer analyst with Sara Lee Direct in Winston-Salem.

Surviving are wife, Jackie Rumbaugh of the home; daughters, Patrica Lynn Rumbaugh and Joan Carol Broach, both of Randleman; son, John Carroll Rumbaugh II of Raleigh; brothers, Claude Powell of South Charleston, W.Va. and Victor Rumbaugh of St. Albans, W.Va.; sisters, Edna Mae Keener of St. Albans, W.Va., and Frances Snodgrass of South Charleston, W.Va.; four grandchildren.
